Whispers of Hope by Bertie Simmons is an inspiring and insightful read specifically for people working in the field of education and with children. It is a story of grit and determination with which Bertie moves on in life, full of hope towards a positive change in the system of education, inspite of hurdles like racism, rigid systems, no support from within one’s own organisation etc. and personal loss.
What the book lacks is the flow from one chapter to another and some issues have been left unexplained.
Overall a wonderful read for the educationists like me.If you make up your mind, hold your ground and keep moving on,you will one day beat the odds and emerge victorious.
