Here to Stay is the new novel by Adriana Herrera, about a young woman trying to start over in a new city after a series of disappointment. After her boyfriend ditches her in Dallas, New Yorker Julia Del Mart Ortiz manages to land a one in a lifetime job. Running the charitable foundation of a high end department store is a dream come true, if only she didn't have to worry about the new consultant the company just hired. Rocco Quinn is here to make sure the store's transition to a publicly traded company is a successful one. He doesn't want to be attracted to the smart mouthed Julia, but he's having a hard time keeping it professional.
I enjoyed this book, just like every other book by this author because she writes such excellent stories. I loved the whole fish out of water feel with Julia having to make it in Texas because her dimwit ex abandoned here there. It was fun to watch her take a bad situation and make it better. I'm always a sucker for rivals/enemies to lovers and this book is no exception. These two were hot together and I enjoyed every minute of reading this book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All Opinions are my own.

It pains me to say this is the first book I’ve read by Adriana Herrera that I didn’t really like. There’s nothing explicitly wrong with it but me and Here to Stay never really clicked. It has a pretty slow start and then it seems like everything of importance happens in the last third of the book like a rush to the finish rather than more balanced. Prior to that, the focus is more on their friends, family, and jobs than their relationship.

It’s hard then not to compare it to the Dreamers series, which I liked infinity better. In the series, the characters and plots are more interesting and engaging for my reading preferences.

Thank you Carina Press and NetGalley for the ARC!

There’s something about Adriana Herrera’s writing that feels very fresh and it feels like her writing will truly be the future of contemporary romances. Julia and Rocco’s chemistry is sizzling from the moment they have their first talk in the book you just feel the attraction they have for each other jumping off the page (or in this case my iPad ). I adored this story and the characters and am eager to see where this series will go next!

An incredible beginning to a new series! The story is so good, Julia and Rocco are a couple you’ll want to root for from the start, the twins are adorable. Basically, it’s just an awesome book!
