Two women, both widows, begin a friendship born out of loneliness. Gloria has lived alone in a remote Michigan farmhouse since the death of her husband. She has a son, but the two never communicate, and Gloria spends her days alone with books and unpaid bills. Every day is the same until, a woman’s body is found near Gloria’s house. When travel writer, Beth moves onto Gloria’s land with her little trailer, the two women gravitate towards each other. They have much in common, they are both widows after all, and become fast friends. But what do they really know about each other and how did their husbands really die?
