I loves seeeintna beauty and the beast theme within this extraordinary story. In her eyes he is just as important as any person in her world and that makes him worthy of her gifts to heal. I loved how she helped him to grow into the person he was meant to be. In turn, he saw a precious gift in her generous heart and beautiful compassion. He saw her wild, untamable spirit, and all he wanted was to set her free. Their stunning and undying love brought them the strength and determination they both needed to walk their difficult journey. Together they could conquer the universe.

Robin Lovett has created a breathtaking series that I have lost my heart to so entirely. She knows how to get to the very core of her amazing characters and show us the beauty and awe of each of them. Just like us they have their faults, but above all they long for true love and undying loyalty. This is one series you will not want to pass up. It has more heart and soul then you can ever imagine.

So, I have to admit, I have a soft spot or perhaps a wet spot for alien erotica.

And boy did ‘Forbidden Desire’ do it for me. I mean, what's not to love about a curvy alien who has a magical vagina with three clitorises.

Although this is the fourth book in the ‘Planet of Desire’ series by Robin Lovett, I had no problem reading it as a standalone and was so impressed that I want to go back and read the other books in the series.

‘Forbidden Desire’ follows Niva, a Fellamana alien and sex goddess who can heal everyone with sex. When she meets Graven, a superhuman soldier who can no longer feel touch, she has a strong desire to heal him.

I was not expecting there to be such an in-depth description when it came to the Fellamana alien race. Niva had some extraordinary qualities and powers. They were unique and fascinating to learn about.

If you prefer erotica to center more around the romance, then this book is not for you. ‘Forbidden Desire’ is all about sex and includes a substantial amount of descriptive scenes.

My only complaint is that it was far too long, but that’s based on my personal preference.

Forbidden Desire follows Niva who is the Fellamena alien race's neighborhood sex goddess. She can cure anyone's ailment through sex. She's allowed to help everyone on her planet - except for the invading rebellion humans. This is how we meet Graven, a bioengineered human super solider whose father experimented on him as a teen so he can now not feel touch. From the moment he sees Niva he is enraptured by her beauty and sexual freedom. All he wants is to be able to have her and feel her touch - all for the first time since he's never experienced anything physical. Once Niva notices him and realizes his predicament, she's determined to help heal him, even if it is forbidden.

This was my first time reading this author and anything from this series. It's the fourth book of the series, but I had no trouble following the story. It's clearly a standalone, so you can definitely start the series right here if you so wish. I don't read a lot of sci fi / alien romance and I'm also not too big on erotica. But the cover and blurb of this one really drew me in. I love that our heroine is a curvy heroine and that her body isn't discriminated against. The whole planet and Graven especially worship her physical appearance. So the body positivity here was a big plus for me.

The story was more heavy on the erotica than the actual romance, but I didn't really mind. The overall plot of their interactions being forbidden and Niva just wanting to heal him is what kept me reading. The sideplot of Graven's secrets was also interesting and made things even more high stakes towards the end. The alien mythology felt original. I mean I haven't read or come across alien romances that take place on a sex planet.

I liked both Niva and Graven as characters. Niva had a beautiful, compassionate spirit. She cared very much for her people and helping others. And Graven was very sweet to Niva. Always making sure he wasn't hurting her, that she always wanted what was happening. That went both ways. It was great to see consent be a big part of the story, especially this being erotica - it was a good message to send.

I don't think this story will be for everyone. It wasn't anything too special, but for what it was - alien erotica romance - it was good. If you're into this type of thing, then I say pick this one up.
