This book was super short and I felt like there were parts missing. The characters were nice, and the story had potential. Sadly, it was not done well. Did not really enjoy it. Positive point: I enjoyed the writing.

I received a complimentary copy of Forever Island in exchange for an honest review. This was a quick and easy read. The storyline was intriguing. JD won a dream vacation to an isolated island where he met Sara. Sara was very illusive, and definitely an "exotic" character.

Even with a good foundation, this novel did not meet my expectations. I never felt like a relationship developed between JD and Sara, and there were just too many missing pieces which were never answered. I wasn't sure if I was reading a suspense book, a mystery, a love story, or some unknown genre. I was so disappointed when I finished the book, and I was still not any closer to figuring out who or why JD and Sara were selected to receive a complimentary vacation among other things, or what their forever looked like.

A little Fantasy Island, a little Love Boat, a little Blue Lagoon with a little Ribinson Crusoe thrown in for good measure. All in all made an entertaining story. Both characters were strong and knew exactly what they wanted out of life and set out to accomplish it.

This book was gifted to me by the author and NetGalley in return for an honest review.
