Thank you Netgalley and MacMillan Audio for the gifted audiobook.

So this was my very first audio book. I always thought I'd get too distracted to listen to a book, but I started jogging and thought that was the perfect opportunity to try it out. What a book to start with! The narrators were fantastic, the killer's voice was distorted, and the plot was engaging. I didn't want to stop each night after my jog!

The story is told in alternating POV - His, Hers, and the killer. Jack was the "His" and he is a detective still reeling from the death of his baby and separation from his wife. He gets called to investigate a murder and knows the victim. "Hers" is Anna and she is a news presenter and Jack's ex wife. She is quite the hot mess, and gets bumped down when Kat Jones returns from an extended maternity leave. She covers the murder - and she also knows the victim! The plot unravels with more murders and lots of back story. I thought I had it figured out, but I was wrong TWICE! The twists were just spot on!

The only thing I wasn't crazy about is all of the back story this book had. There was a LOT. It was mostly necessary to the plot but at some points I was like, "Okay, enough".

Definitely a great thriller, and I will definitely recommend!
