Tempting the Prince by Christi Barth is the third book in the Sexy Misadventures of Royals series. Who wouldn't love a book from a series with that title? I didn't realize going in that it was from an established series, but it functions as a stand-alone book as well. You'll just miss a few of the references and established storylines.
Leads Christian and Mallory have strong chemistry, and it's fun to see how their relationship evolves. I'd definitely read other books in the series.
Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Very predictable and the same story we've all heard/seen before of a non-royal dating a royal but what kept this fresh for me was the witty banter/dialogue. I really enjoyed reading it for the inner monologue's that the characters had. Overall it charmed me and I would recommend giving a it a go if you like witty rom-coms and prince charming stories.
I received an advanced copy in exchange for a review.

Tempting the Prince was definitely a fun read! I loved the romcom aspect of it. I think it would make the perfect Hallmark or Lifetime movie. The writing was really well done and had my laughing out loud several times. The connection between Mallory and Christian was so hot! Highly recommend this fun romance.

This book was ok. I didn't really buy into the couple of Christian and Mallory from the beginning when they had sex from the jump. Royal AU aren't normally my jam and I found the plot predictable and the characters dull.

Tempting the Prince was an ok read for me. It was an average royal rom-com. I haven't read the other books in the series, however it can be read as a stand-alone, but it may increase the enjoyment levels if I went in with some familiarity with the characters/setting. It was a pleasant read, but not one that will stay with me, or that I can see myself frequently revisiting. If you're looking for an enjoyable, easy, funny and romantic read, then this is right up your alley.
The royal romance is one that we've seen often - an American woman takes a Crown Prince by storm, and the Prince has to buck royal tradition to be with his true love. Mallory is the sister of the long-lost princess of Mocriano. Following an unsuccessful assassination attempt on her sister's life, Mallory is swept up in the royal family, and then becomes the victim of a plot herself,
Christian is the Crown Prince that needs to find a "proper" wife as the future ruler of this country. He's loyal, charming, engaging, and a little bit unsure of himself and how he fits into the future of his country. He also quickly finds himself smitten by Mallory, and that certainly throws him for a loop. Mallory and Christian have a connection and chemistry, and they quickly discover and acknowledge that they are in love. This is definitely a fast path to their happily-ever-after, but it is a fun read along the way.
Tempting The Prince is a romantic comedy at heart, with just a touch of angst through in to keep it interesting.

Thanks to #Netgalley for making this book available to me.
I am so sad that I didn't read all the books in the series (although this is just a companion novel, I can't wait to read the first two books)
Here we follow the crown prince or really the king, as he has been acting the part of the King since his father decided to lock himself in his room and live him seclusion (we get to know that his father his depressed but I can really comprehend why because I didn't read the first two books, but other than that the story is perfection). Christian is just the perfect prince and he is insanely attracted to Mallory is sister's sister, Mallory. Okay might be strange but you have to read it to get the full gist.
Mallory is also attracted to Christian and one drunk night at a bar results in them doing the devil's tango the bathroom. Their relationship continues to build but she is dealing with something that would definitely not allow her to become his queen
I enjoyed it but there was no real peak in this book.

Tempting the Prince!
This is Book 3 in Christie Barth’s Sexy Misadventures of Royals series. This book can be read as a stand-alone, and I did just that. There’s enough back-story to ensure you can follow all the various characters and their relationships. The troupe of commoner and royalty is very well done in this book including a few twists and turns. I loved the characters in this book. I could totally relate to them and their feelings. I have been reading some newer authors and just can’t get involved in the story because of the point by point way they are written. I had no trouble getting involved in this story and found myself waiting to see how situations would work out, and how the individuals would find each other for their HEA. Recommended!
I received an ARC copy of this book courtesy of NetGalley and Entangled Publishing and am voluntarily reviewing it. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely.

A steamy royal romp that will make readers laugh out loud, Christi Barth’s Tempting the Prince is a hot, hilarious and heart-warming contemporary romance that is hard to resist!
Mallory Wishner was a typical American woman who never in a million years imagined that she would have some kind of connection to royalty – until her parents had dropped a shocking bombshell that had pulled the rug out from under her and her sister, Kelsey’s feet. The girl she had been brought up with whom she always believed was her sister was in fact not her biological sibling, but the Crown Princess of Moncriano, a European principality! Mallory had always thought that she and Kelsey would end up living in Manhattan and making a life for themselves in New York in their tiny apartment – she never imagined in a million years that she would end up living in a palace where one gets lost on their way back from the bathroom! Mallory’s life has changed since she moved to Moncriano with her sister where she is her lady in waiting. Getting used to her new circumstances takes some doing – especially as she is struggling to find her feet in this new world. Mallory yearns to unwind and to feel like herself again, but little does she realise that in Moncriano she might end up finding her own happy ending…
Prince Christian is feeling the weight of duty and responsibility upon his shoulders. With his father not being in the best place mentally to cope with the demands of the Crown, Christian has found himself stepping into breach and doing a lot of the heavy lifting. Although he is well aware of his allegiance to the Crown, Christian just wants to shake off the stifling shackles of obligation and feel like an ordinary twenty-nine year old who goes to his local bar for a game of pool and a couple of beers without worrying about the monarchy. When he manages to give his guards the slip, Christian escapes to the pub and finds himself looking up from his beer and into the eyes of a woman he cannot help but be drawn to: Mallory Wishner…
Unable to stop themselves from giving into the desire that sizzles between them, Mallory and Christian surrender to temptation. But the two of them know that their no-strings fling can never lead to anything because Christian has to make a suitable match and marry a princess of impeccable breeding, rank and fortune and all American girl Mallory is as far removed from the monarchy’s idea of the perfect bride as it is possible to get.
But will Christian and Mallory manage to find a way to be together? Or should they simply resign themselves to the fact that a future for the two of them is out of the question?
An entertaining, enjoyable and emotional page-turner full of sass and sizzle, Christi Barth’s Tempting the Prince is a superb contemporary romance where the banter sparkles, the chemistry is intense, the humor laugh out loud funny and the passion red-hot! Christi Barth has a breezy writing style that immediately draws readers into the story and will have them rooting for Mallory and Christian throughout.
A fun and uplifting contemporary romance, Christi Barth knocks it out of the park with Tempting the Prince.

A hilarious rom - com about a common all - American woman faking for the Crown Prince of a small European country! And yes it does give me all Prince William and Kate Middleton vibes 😍
Our heroine, Mallory, survived an assassination attempt on her sister; adopted sister who was the long lost princess of Mocriano. Though she feels totally lost in the stiff and proper world of Royal Family; she drops everything to support her younger sister, when she becomes the victim of an assassination plot that ends up changing her the course of her whole life
Christian, our hero and the Crown Prince of Mocriano is being told, repeatedly that he needs to find a proper blue blood bride. While his playboy past is alluded to in this book, he comes off more as charming, loyal and absolutely worthy hero! He adored his country and would be a proud ruler of his small but independent country; but he has his own share of doubts and issues to deal with, the most important being the war that he finds himself in between what his heart desires and what his duties are!
Tempting The Prince is such a heartwarming romantic comedy; but it also has its share of angst and drama - I read it in one single setting and definitely enjoyed it; though I do wish we had been given a whole public confrontation on the drama that dominated the whole story!
This was my first book in this series - but it sure makes me want to pick up the previous books to see journey the other couples took for their HEAs!

I love that this series was written. Those of us that grew up with Princess Diaries need this adult series. Though I did like this one, it was my least favorite of the series. It was a bit of an insta-love plot and what keeps me reading during a romance is the build up. Since that happened right away, it wasn’t the page turner I had hoped for. Still, the writing was well done and the overall plot was solid. I still would recommend this series to royal Romance fans.

wish I read the other books in this series, because going into it, I felt like I was missing pieces of the puzzle. I know it might not bother other readers, but to me it did.
I thought I was going to love this book, but it was just ok for me.

Although Tempting the Prince is the third and final part of the Sexy Misadventures of Royals series, it can be read as a standalone. However, I strongly recommend reading the first two simply because the series is Just. That. Good! With wonderful characters (and some rather stuffy that look down their noses at the American!), there are laugh out loud moments and tender, poignant ones that brought tears to my eyes. I strongly recommend the whole series!

Be aware that this is the third book in the series. But that being said, I have not read the first two books in the series and felt like Tempting the Prince stood just fine on it's own. I loved this book and did not feel like I was missing out on anything. I do now really really want to read the first two books but I have zero regrets reading this out of order. I will say that the ending of this book appeared to wrap up the relationships from all three books, so it might spoil those for you (but I love spoilers, so I was not bothered in the slightest).
And in here, I’m as safe as the palace. This is a Royal Protection Service hangout. Half these tables are filled with off-the-clock bodyguards.”
Mallory whipped her head left and right, taking in the relaxed crowd and noting that nobody looked out of control. Or desperate. Or even rough around the edges. It was the Disneyland version of a bar; spotless, charming, and far from exciting.
This was the perfect combination of charming, romantic, royal-court politics and heat. I read this book on a weekend, completely swept up in the characters. I loved both the main characters as people as well as a couple and the story was dual narrated which is my favorite for a romance. Tempting the Prince is much more about the people than the plot, dealing more with character depth and relationship dynamics.
This is a great book (or series, apparently) for anyone who loves themselves some royal family, relationship drama, and the best kind of HEA.
You do have a reputation for… I don’t know…” She leaned in closer. “Getting off on getting women out of ballgowns?” Then she and Kelsey burst into giggles.
“For Christ’s sake. These balls are deadly dull. Hooking up’s my reward for getting through the evening.”
After tsking , Kelsey said solemnly, “Women are neither cookies nor medals, Christian.”
“I know that. Believe me, every one of them was ready to hand me a medal for exemplary service by the time we finished . Nobody was used. And no promises were made.”

This was my first Christi Barth book but it won't be the last. This story was such a fun lark into contemporary European royalty that I'll have to find the first 2 books in the series. It's definitely romantic comedy and it has it's serious moments as well. I loved the bond between the sisters and the Prince's love & loyalty to his father.
Mallory Wishner has returned from Michigan to Alcarsa Palace now that she's recovered from being shot protecting Prince Christian in an assassination attempt on his life. She's recovered from her injuries but the jury is still out if she'll heal internally to someday have a child. She is Princess Kelsey's Lady-in-Waiting who she grew up believing was her younger sister. We now know Princess Valentina was kidnapped 24 years ago and grew up being known as Kelsey with Mallory in Michigan. Mallory's dreams were changed with this revelation and decided to help Kelsey settle into her role of royal princess instead of a graphic designer. Mallory had planned a career of being a fundraiser and making a difference to those in need.
Prince Christian is overwhelmed as Crown Prince. His father is AWOL, locked away in his rooms refusing to take his role as King. Christian is doing everything to cover for him and sometimes it's just too much. When he and Mallory find themselves decompressing at the same bar together they discover they have many things in common one of which is being competitive. Unfortunately Mallory finds she's a bit of a klutz around him and accidently lands a dart in his arm, injuring him. While doctoring him in the bar's back room things get steamy. We then get to watch the Crown Prince and the ordinary American fall in love. It's a doomed relationship by Privy Council standards because they expect Christian to marry a royal & secure an heir to the royal line. But Christian realizes Mallory makes him feel calmer and see things clearer and refuses to consider the official Bride List.
I so enjoyed the banter between these people, the realness of the characters. They had to fight for what they wanted and work for it. I found it a well crafted story and I will go back and read the previous two books to learn Kelsey & Princess Genevieve's stories. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tempting The Prince offers readers a very sweet "foregone conclusion" type of " happily... "
Which start out with readers being given all the "tea" on the story 's leading lady right off the bat.
Including but not limited to the fact that she got shot protecting her sister; who isn't really her sister.
But who is really the long lost princess of Moncriano.
From a would be assassin.
A fact that gets mentioned way too many times to count. And becomes the reason that way too many things either should, should not, can, or can not be possible for our dearest heroine.
For her part.
All our dearest Mallory wants is to know if she will be able to fit in.
Seeing as being 'sort of royal' doesnt count.
And if her injuries have indeed put any hopes that she may have had of having children squarely off the table.
But it seems that date and the king's PTSD have other plans for all involved.
Especially Mallory.
By way of her attachment to a certain very hot and very royal prince.
This book is, for all intents and purposes. The perfect beach read.
You pretty much know where you're going from about the first chapter. But the fun is in the getting there.
This isn't really what one would consider a true romantic comedy. Due to the heavy nature of the underlying themes of the read. Although there are light moments. That help to balance things out quite nicely.
There is also a very grand and all encompassing "grand finale" that is more than worthy of a happy tear or two.
This book is the third in the Sexy Misadventures Of Royals series. And may be read as a standalone or as part of its intended series.
Thank you to Netgalley and Entangled Publishing for providing the review copy on which this honest critique is based.

Tempting the Prince was a really fun read by Christi Barth. For someone who hasn't read any of the others, I found I was able to still understand the characters and catch on to what had transpired in the other novels between them to get them to this point. It completely worked as a standalone novel for those who have asked. I enjoyed the fun and flirty behavior between them. I felt like it was paced realistically and made you really want to keep reading. Now I want to go back and dig into the others! I will be recommending to others!

Ever read a book that you know would make an amazing movie? TEMPTING THE PRINCE was a hilarious romcom I couldn't put down!
Our heroine, Mallory, was like a fish out of water. After finding out her sister isn't really her sister but in fact the missing princess of Moncriano, she drops everything to support her sister in her new home. She didn't intend to be shot by an assassin, but these things happen. Unfortunately, that bullet changed her life in more ways than one. Her life in America was basically a wash so she's trying to find her way in her new home. As her sister's lady-in-waiting, she's exploring ways to find her niche and Christian's arms isn't such a bad place to land.
Our hero, Christian, was the crown prince of Moncriano. He loved his country, his people, and his family. A bit of a playboy, he's had to buckle down and step in as acting king because his father is holed up in his room. When his sister's 'sister' becomes the one person he can turn to for comfort, the person he leans on the most, he thinks he's willing to buck the oldest traditions to fulfill his heart's desire. But will Mallory, his family, or his people let him?
I enjoyed this story so much! From the main characters, the side characters, the drama, the banter, the fun, and everything in between, this story was an amazing introduction to this author's writing and an entertaining read. With tons of laughs and plenty of heart, TEMPTING THE PRINCE is an easy book recommendation to make!

When Mallory decides to stay behind as her sister's lady in waiting, she's not sure she made the right choice. Desperate to get out of the castle for a while, she escapes to a night club that caters to the royal family, and ends up in a very compromising and satisfying position with the delectable Crown Prince.
She knows she can't be everything he needs his spouse to be. She's not a royal, and even if they got around that, Mallory does have other legitimate reasons to be wary of falling in love with Christian.
But these two can't keep their hands off each other.
This is such a cute story. While predictable, it's an entertaining journey into the world of the royal family. This is the kind of book you want to read when you need a major escape from the pressures of real life.
Lots of fun and easy-reading if you are looking for something like that.

Tempting the Prince by Christi Barth is a royal romance with all the feels and steamy chemistry. Mallory relocated with her sister, who is not really her sister, but a princess of a foreign country, to this new country and her life has been anything but normal since. Now she has fallen for the Crown Prince, the only man she cannot have. He is set to marry the right kind of woman. But they cannot deny what they feel for each other. While Mallory struggled acclimating herself to the royal family, Christian was trying to determine how to get what he wanted. Can they find their happily ever-after? A charming and light read.
Happy reading!

I would first like to thank the publisher and NETGALLEY for gifting me this early copy!
I had super high hopes for this one.... I love royal romances so I was so excited for this! However, I felt like this was kind of fast and didn’t flow properly. I don’t know, it’s probably just me, but the characters weren’t my favourite. The romance didn’t seem very sincere. However, I did like the relationship between Mallory and Kelsey. I liked how they were still super close after Kelsey realized she was a princess. That’s another thing! I was going into this thinking it was going to be like the Princess Diaries (which I LOVED) but I shouldn’t have done that... I shouldn’t compare anything to the Princess Diaries so I think it’s my fault I didn’t enjoy this as much as many others did. I will probably read this again because I CAN see myself enjoying this in the future.
