Dream Chaser is the second book in the Dream Team series and while I enjoyed the first book a lot, there was something about this one that drew me in immediately. I'm not sure if it was I knew the characters better or if the main characters in this one just had an effect on me. Regardless, it was a great read!

Kathryn, Ryn, to her friends has aspirations of having a home flipping business, but right now she's making ends meet by working at Smithie's as a dancer. While she's trying to make the most of what she's got, she's got family members that have made her life anything but easy, including her Dad and her alcoholic brother. She's got an adorable niece and nephew she would do anything for, but her brother's ex doesn't make it easy for her to see them. Add to that that she has had less than a great track record with guys, plus she's submissive, and you've got the picture.

When Ryn meets Boone, she's immediately drawn to him and to his Dom tendencies, however she is intimidated and she's not all that thrilled with some information he provides to her. Boone is extremely protective and he's loyal to a fault, not only to his boys, but also to those he's close to. As their relationship develops, we see how difficulties in both their pasts have shaped them, but how supportive they are of one another, while also being both hot and sweet with one another.

I enjoyed the entire story that developed around these two and how they both evolved over the course of the story. They definitely had chemistry and it jumped off the page. Plus, it was great to see many familiar faces grace the pages as well! Looking forward to the next one in this series!

I have enjoyed this series in part due to the same vibe and the cameos of the Rock Chicks, Dream Men, and Chaos. This is a newer set of commandos that work for Hawk and with the whole Hot Bunch. And these new women who work at Smithie's are finding themselves in the middle of trouble similar to the rock chicks and finding love along the way with bossy commandos.

Sure the storylines are familiar. There are various antagonists, mysteries, kidnappings, deaths, threats, and action. But the closeness and bond between the characters gives it more heart. I love how all of KA worlds just kind of crash over into this series.

This one is Boone and Ryn's story. They have been set up by Lottie before but Ryn was resistant, so Boone moved on. Ryn likes to be independent and tends to take care of all those around her. But now Ryn is in need of help, and Boone has decided he will be her protector and finally claim her as his. He is bossy, intrusive, protective, possessive, and just like all the KA alphas. They have similar proclivities in the bedroom and have a fun rapport.

But Ryn is in the middle of a mess that began when she and the Dream Team were kidnapped before and there seems to be a ripple effect happening. So they all have to circle around Ryn, use their resources, and try to figure out how to take down the bad guys. And Ryn has other family dynamics issues going on, and her dream job is not really to dance for men. So she has plans for her future that she wants to be alive to partake in. And Boone has made it his mission to keep her safe and help her follow her dreams.

But he has his own set of demons he tries to keep locked down, and who knows what might trigger him. These two are both headstrong and a bit stubborn, but also truly care about others. Many times people take advantage of her kindness, and Boone is determined that will not keep happening. But the most important thing is to keep her alive until they can figure out how to settle the situation

This is a romantic suspense story with heat, humor, and a bunch of old friends. This series seems more like vintage KA and it makes it easier to sit down and get sucked back into the world. I am looking forward to more with Hattie and Axl and Pepper and Auggie.

Is it possible for a stripper to find true love? Ryn doesn’t think so. She has given up on love, until Boone bursts into her life and changes everything.

Ryn has never had it easy and she has learned life isn’t fair and good things don’t happen to someone like her. So she is resigned to her life as a stripper. She has bigger plans, but she isn't sure she will ever be able to achieve them because her family’s problems keep interrupting her goals. Rye has a heart of gold and sadly, she continually puts everyone else’s needs before her own. She is easy to like and I kept rooting for her and hoping she would finally get a break.

Boone likes Ryn, but at first she won’t give him a chance. Boone works for Hawk as a commando. If you have read KA’s other books, you know who Hawke is and if you haven’t, Hawk runs an underground security company. If someone has a problem and no one else can get it done, Hawk can. All the guys who work for Hawk are tough, the best in the business and good looking alpha males.

I loved Boone. He has issues from his past, but so does Ryn. Boone is dominating, charming, sweet, protective and treats Ryn really well. Boone and Ryn are funny and snarky and I loved all their verbal foreplay. They are both into BDSM and once they get together, they have sizzling chemistry.

There are bad guys, dirty cops and Hawk and his commandos are doing everything they can to keep Ryn safe. This is a fun, entertaining, action packed story with lots of alpha males, dirty talk and sexy times. I enjoyed many of the entertaining characters from KA’s past books making appearances in this one and was fun catching up with them. This is another wonderful Kristen Ashley story.

Dream Chaser centers on Ryn and Boone. Ryn knows that this commando is bad news for her, but like most of us, when we are attracted to someone, resistance is difficult if not impossible. Their story is not perfect (whose is) but it showed me that when it comes to life and death matters, love is what you need - that and an extremely sexy Boone.
Dream Team book 2 is absolutely what made me love Kristen Ashley books in the very beginning and that the Rock Chicks comes along for the ride, is just perfect.

So I’ve read most of Kristen Ashley’s books, and I am a fan of most of the series’, but this one was a miss for me. For most of KA’s books you can read the series out of order—they’ll mention people you don’t know but it’s not integral to the plot. However with this book you really do have to read the first book in the series. There are multiple plot issues that won’t make sense otherwise. Also, there are a lot of characters from other series’ that are brought into this series, as if they all live in a tiny town & therefore it would be plausible that they all know each other (FYI the series takes place in the greater Denver area).
Disregarding these small plot holes, I will admit I wasn’t a fan of the hero Boone. KA is always a fan of alpha males, but Boone is a bit too alpha for my taste. He’s very controlling, and I have a hard time believing Ryn would be so accepting (I understand that sexually they are dom/sub, but in other areas there don’t seem to be good boundaries).
I didn’t hate the book, to be clear, but it’s still a miss for me.
Thank you to NetGalley & Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for this advanced reader copy. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I'm loving this series and these guys and gals. Ryn and Boone are great together, they just fit so perfectly. I loved the banter between them and also how Boone handled all the stuff plaguing Ryn. I can't wait for the next one.

Ryn and Boone’s story was a sweet read. I loved the strong friendships-male and female-featured throughout the book. My other favorite bits were those stripped bare, emotional moments between Boone and Ryn that really got to the core of each character and shaped them in to who they were. My main dissatisfaction was that I would have liked more time spent on Boone and Ryn’s developing relationship, but Ryn’s dramas and the plethora of cameos took on a life of its own and just ran...

Overall, I enjoyed a lot about the book and have pegged whom I’m most interested in seeing get together!

I received an advance reader copy from Netgalley/Grand Central Publishing and this is my honest review.

I had such a pleasure in reading this stunning book and I adored every single moment of the reading of it. Dream Chaser is the continuation of the “Dream Team” series and I absolutely adored every single moment. From the first day that I was given this ARC copy from the publisher for a review, I couldn’t put this sucker down. It had such feeling and heart and whenever I immerse myself into a Kristen Ashley novel, I am always overwhelmed by how this author can always captivate me no matter what day it is or what mood I am in, I know I am in for a fabulous time especially since she is such a “comfort” author for me in so many forms of ways that I cannot adequatelely express.

Dream Chaser features our main couple: Ryn Jansen and Boone Sadler. In this fabulous novel, we have a story that will capture your attention in all the best of ways. Ryn Jansen, works as a stripper for the famous “Smithie’s” and her dancing is out of the world. But her problems begin with the drama from her brother’s ex. Ryn has a love for her niece and nephew, and they her. But her brother has issues and isn’t that involved and his ex, is a drama queen and is abusive in other ways. Now Ryn’s life is packed with family drama in trying to figure out a way to get her niece and nephew healthy and happy once again, and trying to deal with a challenging commando…Boone Sadler. Boone is nothing like what Ryn ever expected, but he is a man that has her back even in showing her how her family is conning her for man, money she works hard for. But as the family drama escalates in ways she never expected, her relationship with Boone turns into one she never thought she would ever be so blessed with and will fight for each other…

Dream Chaser is a powerhouse of a read and I absolutely adored Ryn in many respects. I loved her love for her family and her hard working spirit and her creativity that just charms you in such way. I found Boone to be so entertaining and my type of alpha male that is bound to amuse any reader. I love how he stands up to Ryn when needed and isn’t ashamed of his masculinity in any way. He is who he is. Boy I respect that especially in my heroes. I really loved how he has Ryn’s back even if she doesn’t appreciate what he does for her in the beginning. I am always captivated in the way these relationship start off because, honestly, its highly amusing in so many factors and I can’t get enough. Once we see our pair come together fully and stop fighting their feelings for each other, this begins to be a romance of heart deep wrenching emotion that keeps one in the moment along side with them.

Overall I found Dream Chaser to be a thrilling and emotionally stimulant of romance and stunning emotion that will thrall you in all of the best of ways. An enriching love tale for all!!

Fun. Positive. Romantic. Funny. All the usual, zany, feel-good Kristen Ashley goodness told in the way that Kristen Ashley's unique voice tells stories. I said it after reading book one of this series and I'll say it again, the Dream Team books feel like throwbacks to original KA stories. Full of love and patience and crazy capers with characters who leave a lasting mark, Dream Chaser follows the love story of Ryn and Boone and the rest of the Denver cast of characters.

I enjoyed the elements of a different lifestyle KA threaded through Ryn and Boone's story that really showcased the alpha traits of a KA hero we all love so much. And Ryn's sassy personality that complimented it so well. Sometimes, especially in these times, we need to just to let go and feel the love and strength and hilarity of good romance. Dream Chaser provides that escape in spades and is a great Kristen Ashley story.

I love these characters. Ryn is so interesting to me. She has issues but she’s strong and she tries to do all the things. Boone...wooo, Boone. Yes, please! Their chemistry is perfect. I like how Ryn dealt with him in the beginning and how he responded. I also loved the realness of the family relationships.

When I started this book, I wasn't sure where it going but loved the ride getting to the end. There are so many cameos from characters in other books. (You don't have to have read those to enjoy this one.) I want to reread some and read for the first time others.

I was provided an ARC of this book and am thrilled to share my honest review.

Pure Kristen Ashley! You can always count on her to give you what you want. Its comforting, like home. This series is the new generation of the Rock chicks and I'm so glad she brought us back in. Of course I loved Ryn and Boone! Bring on more of the Dream Team!

Ryn is not your typical stripper; she wants to be a house flipper, but she gives the extra lap dance so she can help support her brother's ex-wife who says she needs the money to take care of Ryn's adorable niece and nephew. Only Ryn's ex sister-in-law is totally playing her.

Enter Boone Sadler, another alpha male with the dream team, who opens Ryn's eyes to the truth and rescues her. In more ways than one.

The path to their romantic HEA is strewn with murder, kidnapping, bad cops, all the criminal elements. Oh, and Ryn -- much to Boone's dismay -- accidentally befriends a criminal.

For KA fans, Dream Chaser is familiar like a comfortable pair of sweatpants. The pages fly by quickly, the storyline and characters grab our attention and emotions, and the sex sizzles in the air like the steam room at my gym. At times, I wondered aloud where Ms. Ashley gets her inspiration. I would seriously like to meet the men who inspire Mo, Mag, Boone, and even Cisco, the criminal. Or is he? Perhaps he deserves his own story...

Loved that the Chaos team gets reeled in as well, so once again characters from previous KA books give us a glimpse of their now lives. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Thank you to #NetGalley for the ARC of #DreamChaser!

Alpha heroes & enough suspense to fuel a rocket ship, Ashley has landed herself a new fan.
Did I read this one sitting? Heck yes.
Am I working my way through the Rock Chicks as well? Absolutely.

Something about a man that comes in with his radar locked on one woman just does me in, and Boone came in swinging.
And Ryn, adamant about having her own back and unwilling to just roll over for a man, gave as good as she got.
I can’t wait to continue this series, seriously, I’m so invested in this crew.

After reading Dream Maker, I was itching to read the second book in the Dream Team series Dream Chaser. Did Kristen Ashely's second book in the series live up to my expectations, Oh Boy Did It Ever! I love how the author gives us characters that can be relatable to her readers in the situations she places them in. Not only that, I love how matter of factly Kristen makes her characters, no bull....She writes main characters who are honorable, kind and sexy as can be, but who also have been through very painful pasts.

There couldn't be a better man for Ryn than Boone. His protectiveness, kindness and warmth has been what Ryn has needed all her life. These two made me laugh my heart out, cry my eyes out and swooned my soul! I am anxiously awaiting the third book because I know it will be just as good.

Dream Chaser is book two in the Dream Team series. This story follows Ryn and Boone. It's fun to get a glimpse back into the rock chick world! I adore Boone and how swoony he is with Ryn. He spends much of his time trying to convince her that the connection between them is worth exploring. I loved them, but especially Boone.

Thanks so NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an eARC of this book exchange for an honest review.

After reading Dream Makers, the first in this new series, I immediately wanted to buy and read the second book. Coming out in December 2020, I was resigned to wait for Kathryn's (aka Ryn) book. To my surprise, it was available as an ARC and I danced with glee when I was awarded a copy for review. I felt like I won the lotto. Rock Chick lovers, Ms. Ashley is back and even better than before. If you enjoy protective alpha males, females with hearts of gold, dysfunctional families and tear-jerking drama, this book is for you.

At first, I Ryn generates mixed feelings for me. She comes across like a doormat who is just being used by her worthless sister in law. Her brother's selfish baggage only drags Ryn down. Not only do they not appreciate Ryn's kindness and support, they tromp all over her. I'm just as pissed for her as Boone. Boone is the love interest who wants Ryn. But... it's complicated. He's a dominant and Ryn is a submissive whose been scorn and torn down.

For those who think this is going to be kinkfest, that is not the case. This is one of the most vanilla books I have ever read with a Dom and sub. Yes, yes, there is a supposed invite only party. We all know how that turned out. There is a lot of mentioning of kink but it was all more of a cock tease. Frankly, I'm a bit baffled and not sure where the kink was in this story. It is so light that I couldn't taste a trace of it. Then again, I am a bit heavier into kink so that could be why to me, this was just sweet, sweet vanilla.

As with the first book in this series, there are several familiar characters showing up as supporting cast. One surprising character is Cisco. The more I read about this guy, the more I want to learn about him. He almost but not quite eclipsed the main love interest, Boone for me. Cisco is a man of mystery with a complicate past and a turbulent existence. I am hooked. Plus, he drives the "good" guys crazy. He is the perfect anti-hero.

Speaking of perfection, what I like about Ms. Ashley's characters is that they are not perfect. They are relate-able people with real life issues that they work through. Sometimes it goes well and other times it does not. In the end, all works out with a little help from friends. Readers who enjoy feel good books about chosen family instead of blood families, this will hit the spot. Strongly independent readers will be able to easily step into Ryn's shoes of refusing people's help. There is a reason why some people are overly independent, because they have learned to not trust on anyone else. This story is an uplifting one where even the most broken find a path to healing. This book is highly recommended to romance lovers who enjoy a wild rollercoaster ride and still want a happily ever after.

Love just happens. It just blooms. Then it's yours to give. And you give it. The end.

This series has the classic KA feel to it that I really enjoy. Full of drama, action, and humor. Truthfully I almost always enjoy every KA book I pick up. They feel like being wrapped up in a fuzzy comfy blanket. With this one I really enjoyed Ryn, I felt I could relate to her a lot and I admired her strength even when faced with some really shitty situations.
I wasn't Boone's biggest fan going into this, but he worked at it and slowly won me over. Both him and Ryn are hotheads that had a habit of going off half cocked on each other and other people. Normally not my cup of tea, but I found it really refreshing that through out the book they were acknowledging their issues and actually working together to work on them. It made their relationship feel that much more real and solid to me.

I'm not feeling you taking any shit first thing on a Monday morning. In fact, after the last few days you've had, I'm not feeling you taking any shit at all this week. Honest to fuck, pretty down with saying, if I have anything to do with it, you now live in a shit-free zone.

My only issue with this one was the 'suspense' or 'action' part of the storyline. I totally get that it is going to be an on going storyline through out the series but it felt pretty thin in this one. Like it was just sort of tacked on. Hoping the next one has a bit more. Can't wait for Axl and Hattie's story!

Recommend this series to anyone who is a KA fan, and to anyone who might be just discovering her for the first time *lucky*

The author is a must read for me. Everything about her books is just wonderful. Her heroes are always amazing but I really loved Boone. Keeping up with the other cast of characters was a bit much but it was nice to see familiar faces. The balance of angst and sweetness is just perfect. This book is perfectly sweet and sexy.

Reading a new Kristen Ashley book is like finding a Christmas present in July. It is always a treasured treat. There is just something so special about this author and the way that she crafts her story and characters that are unlike anyone else out there. It is part of the reason that in a world of acronyms that just saying KA and people automatically know what the letters stand for.

I am loving this new series of interconnected standalones. There is an underlying story that seems to be intermixed and leaves a little bit of a mystery to be carried over into the next book. I am not sure how she manages to do this considering that the story is finished but not finished at the same time. In this case, the "bad guy" from Evie and Mag's story is in this one too, however, he isn't a bad guy, just his actions haven't always been conducive to being a standup guy. I actually really hope that he gets his own story because there is something special about this character. He fits in with the typical OTT KA man and I dig that.

I was expecting this to be more BDSM focused since the sneak peek from the previous book talked about Boone being a Dom and Ryn being a sub. However, I really didn't find that to be the case in this story. Boone reminded me of every other KA hero with his OTT possessive, dominating characteristics while also being caring and attentive. He liked being in control like all of the other guys. I am not saying that as a bad thing because trust me it wasn't. I just was expecting that it would take the direction of the Honey trilogy and that was not the case at all. I thoroughly enjoyed Boone and how he was with Ryn. Ryn was a solid female character. I did have a few issues with her but that had more to do with the backstory of her niece and nephew. I had a hard time wrapping my head around how far the author went in making a point with her niece and that entire situation. However, I did like that there was a change in regard to a certain situation with one of the parents of her niece and nephew.

I can never recommend enough how amazing this author is. Granted, I really won't have to since just her initials alone show how huge her following is, and with good reason. This book is just another example of that. There were hints of what and who is to come next and I look forward to that. Another hit for this author.

This is the second book to the Dream Team Series, and it is a beautifully written book with lots of emotions and love. Not just love from the opposite sex, but this also includes friendship (your girl friends having your back and the men too) and most of all love of family.

I read this in one sitting, and I must admit that I couldn’t stop reading it. Kristen Ashley has this writing style that as a reader you would be able to relate to and feel all the words can cut through the heart and leave a piece in there. The only reason why I deducted a star is because, there are so many characters mentioned in this book that I don’t remember who is who. I might have to read the previous books in the Rock Chick, Chaos and The Unfinished Heroes Series. I wish there were more hot scenes, banters, and interaction between the two main characters. All in all it was very good and quite happy with how the story turned out. I can’t wait to read this in paperback version and also Hattie and Axl’s story.
