Katie travels to Evergreen, Vermont for a holiday retreat to work on her next novel. But her mother has other ideas—she wants Katie to write an article about the town, hoping it will lead to a more stable, full-time job. When Katie meets Ben, sparks fly. Could they be a match made in Christmas heaven?

This holiday romance is sweeter than an iced sugar cookie dipped in hot chocolate. If you love Christmas, you'll love this book.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Ah, so romantic and charming! And I even watched this movie and all the previous Evergreen. I imagined the town in my head vividly, writting was smooth and cute.
Perfect holiday read.

Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy is a sweet novel to drop you right into the spirit of Christmas. I watched the movie last year, so I pictured the entire novel through the eyes of the movie. Having liked the movie, that wasn’t a bad thing!

Katie travels to Evergreen to find rest and inspiration for her next novel. (I love novels about writers!) Her mom has other plans and tasks her with writing an article about this over-the-top Christmas small town. She friends a local on the train and runs into him often during her visit. Once he learns about the article, he’s not as smitten with her. Can Katie prove she isn’t like regular reporters? Thankfully, the community has a surprise fifty-year-old time capsule to distract them and show Katie that Evergreen’s love for Christmas is genuine.

This novel is also perfect for Christmas in July! If you don’t celebrate Christmas in July, now’s the year to start!

I love that many Hallmarks Publishing novels include a recipe. Such a fun touch! I look forward to trying the Cranberry Crostinis!

What a great way to head back into Evergreen! I've been a fan of the Hallmark movies for a few years now, and this book was just what I needed to extend that bit of Christmas magic into the new year and to feel a bit nostalgic! 4/5 stars!

I thoroughly enjoyed this feel good Christmas romance story. I was pulled into the story very quickly, because the characters were so well-developed and interesting. I love Christmas romance stories, but some them end up disappointing me. Not this one! This one had a good mix of drama, emotion and humor which made it a very good read for me. I look forward to reading more from this very talented author.

I had not seen the movies but reading this series and listening to the audiobook was a wonderful edition to my December reads. There was just enough romance and tons of Christmas magic to get you in the spirit.
From what I understand, the books and the movies are identical, just so you know going into either.

I loved everything about 'Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy'. What was really fun for me was to see the Hallmark movie this season that inspired the book. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and having some resolution to relationships shared in previous Evergreen stories. In the difficult year that we have all faced this was a delightful, refreshing escape to good and positive feelings. I highly recommend it!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy
by Nancy Naigle

Katie leaves New York to have a pre Christmas break in Evergreen, Vermont, and manages to find Christmas magic and many new friends there. Whilst travelling on the train she meets Ben a resident and former journalist who tries to convince Katie the whole town really does love Christmas and it’s not a gimmick. Whilst there Katie starts to get her mojo back to start writing her second novel.

Well written book about the spirit of Christmas. If it’s a smalltszy Christmas story this is the book for you.

3.5/5

This is my third trip back to Evergreen Vermont, which means I am in for a fun, community Christmas. This time around, Katie has planned a short vacation in Evergreen to try and get some ideas for her new novel. While she is there, her mother convinces her to write an article for the magazine she works for after one of their freelancers became unavailable. Katie is reluctant, but as she learns about the hidden time capsule, the snow globe that grants wishes and the wonderful caring community, she falls in love with the town and doesn't want to write an article about the commercialism of Christmas. Katie meets Ben, who lives in Evergreen and she is attracted to him, and the feeling is mutual. As readers enjoy the town, the hunt, the history and the events, the story will make you smile. It is a wonderful addition to the series with happy ever afters, mysteries solved and friendship and community that made this reader want to visit. This book was actually based on a Hallmark movie that I watched last year and enjoyed, the book was just as good. This was another relatively quick Christmas story that left me smiling.

***May contain spoilers***

Evergreen, Vermont's famous magical snow globe sits in a place of honor in the Chris Kringle Kitchen owned by Joe and Carol Shaw. Ben Baxter is on his way home on the Evergreen Express. A pretty blonde in a burgundy sweater is taking pictures of the inside of the train. There is a fresh garland-scent of fresh pine in the interior of the train. There are wreaths in the train and twinkling white lights as well as red and gold Christmas ornaments. There is a cheery red velvet bow at the end of each aisle. The train is over a hundred years old and was restored about fifteen years ago. She bumps into him and starts up a conversation about the train and the small town of Evergreen. The pretty blonde is Katie Connell. The depot was small, but with two chimneys puffing white smoke, even with the rooftop covered in snow, it seemed cozy and inviting. Decorated with the same garland and wreaths as the inside of the train, it appeared as if Santa's elves had been hard at work there too. She's a writer trying to write her second novel. Ben Baxter is a writer too. Townspeople wrapped wide ribbons around the black street lamps, garlands swagged the front of every store, and she'd never seen so many different decorations. Nutcrackers, candy canes, bells, and bows were going up all over town. A man fastened a big red mailbox for letters to Santa to a platform smack dab in the middle of Town Square. Katie was dazzled by the buzz of activity and beautiful decorations. Lots of traditional red, green, and gold but there were jewel tones and pastels too. A kaleidoscope of colors all balanced by the white snow and evergreens covering so much of the area. She needs a phone charger because she lost hers. Michelle and Ezra are trying to hang the 50th Annual Evergreen Festival banner across Main Street. Katie asks them if they know where she can find a phone charger. Michelle is mayor of the town. She is the first female mayor of Evergreen. Ezra was the previous mayor and gave Michelle a strong endorsement.. Ezra has an Evergreen Historical Society meeting at the Kringle. The first year Michelle had helped with the Christmas Festival had been back in high school. It'd been part of the Future Business Leaders Association project she'd started, and the school still continued filling that role. Every year, she'd been on the Festival committee, but the last two years, she'd chaired the whole thing. Even with having to move locations, they'd been able to have a successful event. But this was her first year as mayord, and she wanted more than anything for it to be the most special Christmas Festival so far. Hannah Tinker is at Daisy's Country Store with Lisa, the owner of the store. Allie, Dr. Shaw, is the local veterinarian. Allie, her fiance Ryan and his daughter Zoey, are taking a trip to Paris. Kevin and Thomas are at a logging camp. Allie is going to Paris where Ryan is going to receive an award. Katie arrives at the country store and gets a charger. Hannah offers her a lift to Barbara's Country Inn. On the porch, two people passed garland back and forth around the tapered white columns on the front of the Craftsman-style house. Gray stacked stone covered the bottom of each post to the handrail, which offset the deep burgundy house paint. The inn had welcoming curb appeal. Elliott runs the art center in town. Megan struggled with an armful of garland already adorned with silver ornaments. Elliott is helping her. Megan's sister owns the inn. Katie is thinking about writing a Christmas story set in Evergreen, Vermont. An Evergreen Historical Society Marker consisting of a bronzed plaque was posted next to the door to show the significance of the building. Originally the home of Nan's family, later it had been donated to the town as its first library. Katie sees Ben leading Story Hour at the library for children. She tells Nan, the local librarian, she's looking for some local history. Ben is Nan's grandson. David is a teenage boy. Carol wants to know if Ben is okay to have the meeting at the Kringle Kitchen so she can see Allie off. Katie asks if she can go. Ben is suspicious of Katie and her desire to write about Evergreen. Hannah rushes over to Katie and asks if she's settling in okay at the inn. She picks up the snow globe to make a wish. Carol comes over carrying a tray of fresh from the oven cookies. She introduces herself and her husband to Katie. Ezra asks Ben if he knows Katie. Hannah's nephew is David. Ben is also a reporter. Carol's parents used to run the diner when it was just a bakery, and they were best friends with Hannah's parents who ran the town Tinker Shop which is also the town arts center. When they were kids, they'd always hear talk about a Christmas time capsule, but then every time they'd ask their parents about it, they just kind of smiled and said, “Oh, you'll know one day”, but that day never seemed to come. Then, a few years ago, they found an archive of newspapers and found an article. David had been tracking it since he could read. They love puzzles. They're good at them. They'll have to tell Katie about the key to the bells. Fifty years ago, a blizzard kept everyone in town for almost the whole month of December. Some residents of Evergreen also passed the time by making a surprise time capsule to be opened in fifty years. Ben tried to squelch his mixed feelings about Katie. Since the divorce, she was the first woman to catch his eye. He had no plans to repeat that mistake. There was never a good reason to start something up with someone just passing through town. He knew better. David says that Nan said there might be another box to go through at the library. Allie is Carol and Joe's daughter. Allie stops by to see her Mom and Dad before she leaves to join her fiance and his daughter in Paris. Her mom tells her to tell Ryan and Zoey Merry Christmas. She says she will and she'll be back after New Year's. She tries to reassure her mom that everything will be fine. She wishes everybody Merry Christmas, and tells them she'll bring them some croissants. Ben still couldn't help but wonder what Katie's intentions were. An anxious swirl in his gut made him pause, though. It wasn't like he hadn't experienced nosy journalists before, but this reaction was different---more personal. Ben tells Katie if she's truly interested in Evergreen that it's important to understand that they embrace Christmas for real. He wants her to experience the real Evergreen if she's going to write about it. Hannah was trying to make a wish using the town's most treasured holiday attraction, the snow globe, and dropped it, breaking it into a hundred messy pieces. Nick blames himself because he had bumped into Hannah. Hannah is headed to the Turner Tinker Shop to see if Elliott can fix the snow globe. Katie joins her. Michelle was seated at the craft table in the Turner Tinker Shop, now also known as the arts center, making a Christmas ornament. Katie is pecking at the keyboard on her notes, for the article for her mom's business magazine. Katie agrees to join Megan and the others in holiday baking when Ben shows up. Henry from the tree farm asks if he can help with the cookies. Ben is going to pick up the tree to put in front of Nan's library the next day. Katie is considering sending her brother some cookies, especially the red truck cookies David decorated. Katie looks to Ben for cookie decorating tips. Megan rewards the group with slices from a Christmas cake she made. Ben offers Nan a ride home, but she prefers to walk. Katie asks Ben if she can go with him to pick up the Christmas tree the next day. She gives him her phone number. They stop at the Kringle Kitchen for peppermint cocoa. David shows Ben an old photo. The old photo was grainy and had faded over time. The Turners, Hannah and Thomas's parents, stood smiling in front of a building with a winter mural painted on it. In the background, he could make out a red truck which appears to be Allie's grandfather's truck, but he didn't recall ever seeing a mural like that in their town. David tells them it was in the stack of papers Nan brought him. Joe tells them that Kringle Alley is right outside and that they can see the old bakery sign in the photo. David wonders what happened to the mural. David promises to tell Katie all about the key and the mystery of the silent bells in the church the previous year. Katie is skeptical about Evergreen people being as excited as they are about Christmas. A childhood memory has soured her attitude about Christmas. There was a key underneath the miniature sleigh in the snow globe. David finds a key underneath the real sleigh. Hannah goes to the Tinker Shop to meet Elliott who is working on fixing the broken snow globe. She meandered through the space, remembering how much time she and Thomas had spent there as kids. She ached for those childhood days when her parents had filled this space with their hard work---where she'd learned that singing made any task more fun. She and Momma would sing through every single project. She tells Elliott they should go ice skating together after he starts to invite her telling her that they were working on opening the pond. David is trying to solve the mysteries of the key and the photo with his grandparents in it with the mural in the background. Carol remembered a knot in the wood shaped like a keyhole. Katie's mom keeps harassing her about the story she's working on. She had grabbed the wrong papers from the printer at the library. She returns to the library in a hurry hoping no one grabbed her notes from the printer. Ben is with the others in the alley next to the Kringle Kitchen, and waves her over. David took the key from his pocket, and together he and Carol twisted it into the keyhole that'd been long hidden-in-plain-sight behind the stained wooden siding. The boards drop revealing the mural from the picture of David's grandparents. The opening around the painting held carved wooden pieces---snowflakes, evergreens at the base with a single snowman, top hat and all. Twenty-four wooden boxes, each one numbered, framed the shadow box from knee high all the way to the top. Ben wonders if they found the time capsule. Katie pulled out her notebook and started taking notes. It was built by Carol's and Hannah's parents fifty years ago during the Christmas blizzard. Nick tells the story. They were all at the Tinker Shop. Between it and the bakery, they were all forced to make do through the terrible snowstorm. No supplies, except for what was on hand, but luckily both places were well-stocked and surprisingly everyone was at such peace about it. It was like a planned camp-out with a lot of craft projects. The storm lasted four weeks. They were for most of the month of December hunkered down together. They started a system to share food and share firewood. After a while, it surprised them to find they were really enjoying themselves. It was more like Christmas than it ever had been before. Nan said it was wonderful. It was so rare that an entire town would get to come together like that. The twins taught piano lessons. They had embroidery lessons, and there was a lot of music. They read books aloud, they talked, they laughed, and since they had so much time on their hands it was decided that they'd all work together to build the time capsule. Using everyone's unique skills and talents, they went to work. Hannah and Carol were so small, they had no idea what they were working on. It was all hands on deck, though, as they created the mural and boxes. The picture of David's grandparents was taken in front of the wall after the mural was painted and before they assembled the time capsule that spring. All of the wooden boxes were made and painted and stenciled during the storm, as were the contents for each of the boxes right there in the tinker shop. They decide to open the first box. It's from Carol's parents to Carol. The first being the original Kringle recipes. Katie continues taking notes and walks over to ask Ezra for a few comments as the town's previous mayor. She races to the library to retrieve her printout. Ben had already found it and proceeded to read it out loud. Ben wants to know why she would make light of the people of Evergreen's feelings and who they truly are. He asks her if she really thinks it's all for show and if she can't imagine for a minute that they're doing what makes them happy. She says she thinks a lot of people would come there and find it all a little too good to be true. She tells him she's not sure what to believe. The fourth grade class shows up for story time. She tells him she really has enjoyed her time there. Despite her vacation turning into a work trip, she really liked the peppermint hot cocoa and the way the whole town rallies to put up Christmas decorations. She almost slips and tells him she really likes him. He handed the outline back to her and tells her to write the article she wants to write. He tells her he hopes it turns out. She lowered her head, hoping he'd forgive her and feeling more conflicted than ever over what to write, or why she was even doing it in the first place. She may have just blown a potentially special friendship with Ben, maybe even more. A Christmas tree stood in the corner. Instead of a star on top, there was a Louisa May Alcott's A Christmas Dream and How It Came to be True. Nan had mentioned it was her favorite. It'd be just like Ben to have put that together for her. Katie walked through Town Square. She went directly to the inn. She wondered if she should just head home, and if she had worn out her welcome in Evergreen. When she got to the inn, she didn't stop to talk to Megan, who was in the kitchen. Instead, she went straight to her room and closed the door behind her. She stared at her suitcase, wondering what she should do. She crawled across the bed and closed her eyes. Her intentions had been good. There was something about Evergreen, that was for sure. It might be Christmas magic, it might just be a bunch of kind people with good hearts, but whatever it was, it had had a profound effect on her. Her life wouldn't be the same after this. There'd always be a little sparkle of joy from what she'd experienced here. Katie falls asleep and is greeted in the morning by Megan who asks her if she would like to walk over to watch them open the second box on the advent calendar. Elliott asks Hannah if she wanted to come over to the shop. He tells her that Megan said she could help them get the snow globe glass down. Ben hands the envelope to Nick and Nan. It's a box full of scarves and a pair of ice skates from Mike and Marsha Strall. Michelle tells them that the Stralls owned the sporting goods store, but they'd moved to Ohio. It was before you could buy everything online. They had all of their things made there locally. A man steps forward and says the Stralls were his grandparents, on his mom's side. Years ago, they had sent him several boxes of skates and scarves to hang on to until someone from town asked for them. He thought it was a surprise donation or something. He asks if he can borrow Allie's truck to take all the boxes down to the pond, so they can be distributed. Katie goes to observe Elliott and Hannah making the glass dome for the snow globe. Megan is working on making glass ornaments. That afternoon, Ben strung the lights on the Christmas tree in front of the library. Ben tucked his skates under one of the benches, then went over to the skate rental building to help them unpack the boxes donated by the Stralls. Ben and Nick were handing out scarves. Katie is holding Nan's skates and Ben sees her. He brought her one of the scarves from the time capsule. He thanks her for the ornament. She tells him it reminded her of the star cookie he made at Megan's. The falling star. Ben liked her. If he was even remotely considering pursuing her, she deserved to know about his past. He hoped it wouldn't make a difference that he'd been married before. He wasn't sure how to share that. Before he could respond, Michelle walked up with her skates draped over her right shoulder. She asks them if they're heading down to the ice. Thomas surprises Michelle by coming home early. David sped across the ice to a stop right into Thomas, bear-hugging him around the waist. Thomas tells them it's good to see them both. Thomas is Hannah's brother. David is Hannah's nephew. Ben and Katie go get peppermint hot chocolates. They're going ice skating. He tells her Nan taught him how to skate when he was a boy. She was known for her ice dancing, but she was a goalie too. He tells Katie taught him everything he knows about hockey. He tells her he left Chicago because he needed a change. He was at a job he didn't love, and he'd just gotten divorced. He came home to visit, and while he was there, Nan broke her foot. He stuck around to help her out, and to figure out what was next for him after having his marriage end. After a few months, he fell back in love with the library, and then those few months turned into a year, and then five. Thomas introduces himself to Katie. He tells Katie that Michelle makes Evergreen feel like home. Ben tells Katie he's going to the library if she wants to come with him. She tells Nan she's going to do a little research if she doesn't mind. Nan asks her what she's looking for. She tells her she's looking for articles about the blizzard fifty years ago. Nan tells her she's got all those old newspapers on microfiche. Ben gets a set of cookie cutters from the Advent Calendar box, so they're going to bake Nan's grandmother's shortbread cookies. Nan and Ben convince Katie to go caroling with them. He's bringing his guitar. Hannah had dressed in her caroling attire, a green sweater, before going to meet Elliott. She was due to catch up with the others in front of Daisy's Country Store. She leaned over the counter in the Tinker Shop, watching Elliott fill the new snow globe with liquid. He tells her the snow globe will be as good as new. She's helping him put the glitter in the snow globe and finds her mother's wedding ring which had been lost many years ago. She tells him she has to go, and she's got to lead the caroling. She tells him he should come with her. He tells her she doesn't want to hear him sing. She tells him to please come and tells him it's just for fun and Christmas. Elliott hesitated only a moment and tells her he'll come. He cleans off the ring and tells her to put it on. Megan told the carolers to come into the inn to get warm. She already had treats and a hot chocolate bar all set up for them. Megan tells them she has the new fire-pit out there putting off a toasty warmth, and all the fixings for Christmas s'mores. Ben tells Katie he's glad she came with them that night. She tells him she is too and that she'd never been caroling before. Thomas didn't mind being in charge of making the marshmallows for anyone who was game. Ben convinces Katie to stay in Evergreen one more day. Hannah and Elliott go into the Kringle Kitchen with the box, the one with the red and white poinsettias on it, that had held all those broken pieces of the magic snow globe not that long ago. Elliott removed the top of the box, and Hannah carefully lifted the now repaired snow globe into view. Carol exclaims that it's perfect and asks her how she repaired it. She tells Hannah it can't be the same snow globe. She tells her it was all Elliott, that she can't see a single crack unless she's really, really looking for it, and Hannah's not going to tell her where to look. Joe tells Elliott it looks better than new. Elliott uses the snow globe to make a wish. Katie's name is drawn to open the advent calendar box, and the envelope says for her to name a favorite activity that she doesn't do often enough. She tells the locals she loves building snowmen. So the town gets together to build snowmen for a few hours. Katie seems to be taken with Ben, but her time in Evergreen is almost up. As much as she cherished every single moment in Evergreen and every person she'd met, she knew deep inside she could never live there. She loved the city. It was where she was meant to be. Hannah gives Thomas their mother's wedding ring to give to Michelle. Katie leaves the city by train and kisses Ben goodbye on the cheek. Hannah arrived at the church to get things set up for choir rehearsal. Elliott sat on the worn bench at the piano. Hannah finally confesses her feelings to Elliott. He tells her he feels the same. Katie shows up at her apartment and her mom is there and has decorated it for Christmas. She came to talk to Katie about her article. She encourages her to publish her article as part of her next novel. She asks her mom if she's still invited to her office Christmas party. The following Monday morning after the town revealed the contents of the daily calendar, Ben and Nan walked back to the library together to start their day. While Nan went inside, Ben collected the books from the night drop out front and carried them inside for processing. His phone rang. The New York City number took him by surprise, and he didn't hesitate one second before answering. Ben got an interview request for a job in New York. The strange thing is, he never actually applied for it. Nan sent it in. He'd have to look over his portfolio of work for inspiration. The interview was only a week away. He thinks if he lands the job, he'll be closer to Katie. The sooner, the better. He wants a second chance with her and questions if he can really do it. For the next three days, he spent his time working on articles. He interviewed Ezra before he left for Boston, and Thomas about his logging camps and what had made him decide to set up shop in Evergreen for his headquarters. After choir practice, he accidentally ended up interviewing Hannah, who, thank goodness, didn't seem upset by the unscheduled intrusion. He spent the rest of the afternoon stocking shelves with Lisa at Daisy's Country Store and hearing her tell of her fancy Boston business and buying trips to faraway places, followed by her transition to Evergreen. Finally satisfied, he hand-delivered the article to the editor and owner of the Evergreen Mirror, who read it on the spot. He tells Ben he's running it on the front page. Ben couldn't believe how good it felt, and now he'd have something new to take along to the interview in the city. He texts Katie letting her know he's going to be in the city the next day and asks her if she'll go to lunch with him. She agrees to meet him and go out to eat with him at her and her mom's favorite restaurant. He'd ordered their famous blueberry pancakes. He goes on to tell her what items were in the advent calendar. She invites him to her mother's office Christmas party. Katie's mother's office party is also a charity event. Ben shares his article with Katie. He didn't get the job, and she walks him to see the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center on the way to his train back to Evergreen. He invites her back to Evergreen with him, but she can't leave her mom for Christmas. On Christmas Eve, Hannah's name is picked to open the Advent calendar box. She asks Ezra, the outgoing mayor, if he would read the note enclosed with the envelope. His grandfather was the mayor at that time, fifty years ago. There are savings bonds in the box. Nick's going to help Nan in the library. Katie is doing story hour in front of the mural Christmas Eve. She came back for Ben. She kept writing about Evergreen. She says she's in love with him. He kisses her. She's staying for Christmas, but tells him she's a city girl and always will be. She wanted to spend Christmas with her mom and a ton of other people and especially him. Katie's mom wants to run his article in her magazine. She would like him to interview at the magazine after the holiday. The final box of the advent calendar is to be opened by David. Thomas proposes to Michelle. They're supposed to refill the boxes, seal up the wall and send a Merry Christmas to Evergreen in fifty more years. That spring Ben officially moved to the city and began his job at the magazine. His fresh writing style engaged the readers, and although he missed the library and Nan, he found new inspiration in the bustling city with Katie and new friends. Katie wrote a heartwarming novel of hope and second chances set in the town of Evergreen that involved a set of twins, a mystery and a couple planning a wedding in the small church the following summer. There were already whispers of a sequel.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley. I really enjoyed this book. It was light-hearted, sweet, and very cute. I'm glad all the characters found their happily ever afters. I gave this book four stars, and would look forward to more books from this publisher/author.

I really enjoyed this novel! The town of Evergreen, Vermont really knows how to celebrate Christmas- so much so, that it seems "too good to be true". Alas, these sweet characters are REAL!

Katie, a writer (and journalist) from New York goes to Evergreen to seek her Christmas mojo. While there she meets the BEST cast of characters, and Ben, who all help her learn the town truly loves Christmas. I enjoyed Ben's struggle to find his place in life as well, which complimented Katie's search for Christmas nicely.

This is an adorable cozy Christmas read, and checks off all the boxes for me. Enjoy!

A simple and straightforward story, Christmas in Evergreen will ensure that the reader has a wonderful time and will fall in love! The story is set in the picturesque town of Evergreen with it's inhabitants more like family than neighbours. The story follows Katie as she comes to the town on holiday while trying to work up the inspiration to write her second novel. As we follow her exploration of Evergreen, we meet so many people and also learn their stories. Each shop has a history and a whole lot of charm.

I enjoyed reading about the long lost time capsule which added some intrigue to the while story and while the focus was on Katie, we did learn more about the people and their lives. This did not divert from the plot and I enjoyed getting to know everyone!

As Katie discovers more and starts to fall in love, the author ensures that we also learn about traditions and working together. This is quick and joyous read, perfect for the holidays!
