This is the continuation of the series 12 Dukes of Christmas, each installment well worth reading. This is a lighthearted romance with a touch of comedy. It is a fun, easy read as are all the books in the series. I would recommend it to young adults on up.

I received an arc from the author. The opinions are my own.

Dawn with the Duke
Series: 9th book in the 12 Dukes of Christmas Series
Rating: 4 stars
Thank you to the author/publisher for the ARC given through NetGalley for review. All opinions are my own.

Dawn with the Duke was another great addition to this series. I really enjoyed it! Lady Isabella is stuck at an inn due to the weather and her maid has fallen sick. She is able to get the last room at the inn which is right next door to Calvin MacAlistair's. She pretends to be a widow to protect her reputation. Reputation that is put to the test when she realizes that she needs help getting out and in of her clothes (due to the the buttons being in the back of the dress). She asks Calvin for his help and he agrees. He's very attracted to her when he first meets her, but his priority is finishing a collection of clothes that he is going to present.
Since they are stuck with each other for some days due to the weather they decide to help each other. Bella has a talent for water coloring so therefore she will color his designs that he will present.
These two were very sweet and their chemistry was off the charts. I liked how they first became friends and got to know each other a little better, though Bella did keep her true identity from Calvin until she couldn't anymore.
This put their relationship to the test, but in the end Bella stood up for what she wanted and like Ursula, her maid, told her, she became her own hero.
I look forwards to more of this series.

Bella is a duke’s sister who only wants to paint and do illustrations. Calvin is a tailor who only wants to start a ready to wear line of men’s clothes. Thrown together in an inn during a snow storm Bella hides her identity and falls in love with Calvin. Will their love be enough for the duke to approve? I received an ARC from NetGalley and WebMotion for my honest review.

I have read most of Erica Ridley's books. They are always nicely plotted and filled with terrific characters. This book is no different. The hero and heroine have great chemistry and stand up on their own. It's a simple plot as all Rom-Com are but it's very entertaining. It's one of the better historical romance out there...

"Every design you've shown me has impressed me even more than the last, so do not be surprised if I swoon into your manly embrace upon seeing it.
'Everyone does,' he assured her. 'I owe all of my musculature to the durdgery of endlessly catching those who swoon into my arms.'"

Lady Isabelle and Calvin McAlistair are thrown together in unlikely circumstances in this funny, light & entertaining romp of a tale involving unlikely mistruths and fun descriptions of tailoring. I loved this short romance book, it was funny and light and such a nice diversion.

Thanks to NetGalley for providing a review copy of this book.

This is the first book I've read by Erica Ridley and actually, the first regency romance I've read in quite some time. It was a fun reentry into the regency romances because I really liked both the characters, Belle and Calvin. I really liked their interactions, which were natural and well done, even integrating the issues with social class and expectations in a realistic way. It was short but paced well through most of the book, although I have to admit that I felt like the end was a bit rushed. Overall, though, I was happy to have had the opportunity to read an early copy, given to me by NetGalley.

Another great addition to the Dukes of Christmas series.

Due to a snow storm Belle is forced to stop in a posting house on the way to Chressmouth. Her maid has fallen ill and Belle needs to get creative to get out of her clothing. Calvin is on his way to an important business meeting in Cressmouth and was also delayed at the same posting house. Both form an alliance, helping each other and falling in love while doing so.

Belle and Calvin are easy to root for characters.

The perfect historical RomCom for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

This is my fair and honest review, voluntarily given and in my own words, for this ARC. I have said it before and I will keep saying it YOU NEED TO READ THIS DELIGHTFUL SERIES!!!

This was a sweet story of two strangers being stranded in a posting-house just before Christmas and how they help each other out. I thought this novella was well written and the characters were also loveable.

Calvin and Belle fall in love within a few days of meeting but unbeknownst to Calvin, Belle has lied about who she really is. I really liked the way the author handles their story and how it all turns out right. The ending made me smile:)

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Dawn with the Duke is a charming, fun romance. I would have liked it to be longer, I read it in one sitting! All of the titles so far in the 12 Dukes of Christmas series have been delightful.
