This is an interesting take on a popular idea but one not explored in books for youngsters very much.
Peace is so many different things & this book uses beautiful style, & gentle rhyme to explore many ideas.
Peace can be a comfort to some people or sharing time with people, or speaking to others.

The illustrations have a unique style - showing a diverse mixture of people & animals looking after each other, growing vegetables & gardening.

The artwork is refreshing & not the typical standard bright colours or over-simplified shapes we see so much in picture books. It's a thoughtful book & might encourage some positivity.

There's a lot to talk about after reading this short book too. Children could enjoy looking at the details in the illustrations & spend time talking about the thoughts laid out in the book.

Original & excellent.

The first thing that caught my attention was the magnificent artwork. I was drawn to the cover immediately and the topic is so important nowadays. I loved the attention to detail, the names on the leaves of the branches and the vibrant colors. There is beautiful differences in the people drawn, and it relates to the reader. For instance, The African-American pregnant mother and her child. It reads like a poem, and is perfect for young children to learn about culture and diversity.

This is a beautiful book about peace between human beings. It has a very diverse set of characters and has a story within the illustrations. The book is not filled with too many words so it’s perfect for younger children. This is a great starting point for a discussion on peace and kindness.

Peace is a beautifully-illustrated book with an important message. I loved the focus on peace as a choice that we make with our actions every day. This book empowers children to be peacemakers through their actions and encourages children to do the little things in their daily lives that will build a more peaceful world.

I thought that this was a lovely book and I loved the images used.

The book was easy to follow and understand and whilst the text was simple and only a few words were used the point really comes across in the book and personally I don’t think any more is needed.

The book is set perfectly for the target audience– it is 5 stars from me for this one!

This book focuses on the concept of peace, exploring how/what actions can foster and manifest it into action. The book is written with gentle rhyme. Moreover, I appreciate how this book utilises the gorgeous illustrations well, painting soft and calming pictures evoking a gentle warmth that complements the narrative well.

Overall, ‘Peace’ is a thought-provoking book that revolves around compassion, self-care, and empathy. This book may serve as a great conversation starter for little ones regarding peace (the author’s note left me food for thought). I’d recommend this book to read to the little ones’ prior bed.

“Peace is a pillow that softens our sleep.”

Oh my, I LOVE this story! I love the message, I love the illustrations. Simply put, Peace is a story little minds can understand and learn about how your choices influence others, as well as yourself. I love that this book creates an opening for me to expand and reflect at various parts to my two little guys. Meanwhile, they had plenty to look at while listening to me elaborate a bit more. Now, I’m off to pre-order Peace!

I read an early digital copy of this book, and will buy one for my children once it is released. The text is simple, but the message of peace is powerful. It is complimented by colorful illustrations of children of many skin tones and some cute animals.

I found the illustrations in this book really beautiful and the colour palette was bright and vibrant. The writing had an engaging rhythm and my 4 year old son was captivated by the story. I think the message of peace is always important, but maybe even more so in these difficult and trying times. Would definitely recommend.

**I received an e-ARC from NetGalley for an honest review**

I really liked the rhyming of the book.
Pretty colors and I like the world unity feel to the characters, but unfortunately, at times, the illustrations felt overcrowded and too busy. There was so much going on that it took away from the book.
Overall, 4/5 stars and something I could see on most bookshelves.

Peace by Miranda and Baptiste Paul is a simple, but powerful picture book to guide readers of all ages to recognize small tokens of peace. The authors' note at the end also explains the impact of non-peaceful times on animals, which could be the catalyst for some remarkable conversations and inquiry-based learning. I highly recommend this lovely picture book and look forward to adding it to my libraries when it is released.
