What a wonderful story! This book grabs you on the first page and doesn't let go. It's the perfect book to curl up with and forget about your troubles for a while. It's a sweet, clean, heartwarming romance that has just the right amount of emotions. I can't wait for the next book in this series. Thank you Wild Quail Publishing via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

This felt waaay too forced.
The entire book takes place in the span of a week, and I feel like, they packed a year's worth of events & emotions into said 7 days.
Who exchanges I love yous after 3 days?
Are you freaking killing me?
The story itself is sweet and the internal monologues are well written. The conversations were pedestrian and heavily contributed to the overall disagreeable pace in the story.
Thanks to NetGalley and Wild Quail Publishing for my DRC.

Christmas is the season of love and Mistletoe! Can kisses turn trust back around for a new romance like Hailey and Nick!? Hailey has trust issues and as she tries to work out her dilemmas she rediscovers her crush on Nick, but Nick falls for Hailey, but doesn’t know her secrets! Those secrets could damage their relationship before it even really gets to another level!

Hailey’s sisters are all their trying to sort out their own life choices and aren’t really their to be her sounding box. Hailey has to make some good choices for her life.

I think this book was pretty predictable, but it was a lighthearted read and a overall good Christmas book that was a good clean book that showed responsibility and respect.

I received an advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

This is the second book in the series "Soul Sisters at Cedar Mountain Lodge".
It is the story centering on Hailey.
She is one of Maddie's four adopted daughter's and is coming into her own in her career as a writer, and her life as she finds self-confidence within herself.
When all the sisters, Mom and Nan come to celebrate the wedding of sister Alissa, Hailey sees the man of her dreams, Nick.
She has known him since she was young, but now grown up, she sees and realizes just how kind and sweet he is.
Will this Christmas be all Hailey hopes?
It certainly is a magical time at the lodge and love is in the air!
Looking forward to the third book in this series. These are just perfect for the times and it makes me long for hot chocolate and my fireplace!

This is the second book in the Soul Sisters at Cedar Mountain Lodge series about 4 sisters adopted by a lonely widow one year at Christmas. It is now 15 years later, and this book and the next books are about each member of the family. I love the way this family supports each other, and the characters all feel like people you may know. I can’t wait for the next book in the series! Be sure to read the first book to get the story of how they all came to be a family. The books are short and easy to read, as well as heart warming. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and Wild Quail Publishing. All opinions expressed are my own.

Hailey Kirby started life in difficult circumstances until she was fortunate enough to spend her first Christmas with Maddie Kirby and three other girls that Maddie was fostering. The story of each girls’ early life with Maddie was told in Christmas Sisters, with each girl’s story written by the author who would also tell her adult tale in later books. Judith Keim tells Haley’s story in Christmas Kisses.

Hailey is the Granite Ridge children’s librarian with a secret identity – she writes very popular children’s books under a pen name and her books are loved by the children of Granite Ridge and their parents, and, in one case, an uncle. Musician Nick Hensley was a famous rock star until he gave it all up to return home. He still performs locally and writes music – his next project is to write music for those well-loved books. Little does he know that the beautiful librarian that he is falling in love with is also the author of the books he’s he so admires.

The only reference to Hailey’s life before Maddie is the fact that she had one foster home that “was not so good, the other was worse.” She never knew when she would get hit for something she said, so she rarely talked. Instead, she thought and the thoughts became stories. The Prologue repeats Hailey’s story from Christmas Sisters when she joined the Kirby household and then builds on these events to explain her adult trust issues and insecurities. I was glad that no other details of her harsh treatment in foster care were included in her story – too often authors feel the need to give more details than what are needed to show how miserable her life had been. What is important is what came after and the author does a wonderful job of showing how Hailey had grown and developed into a mature, confident person, thanks to Maddie and her soul sisters.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley. This review is my honest opinion - I enjoyed this book and will be purchasing the next books in the series.

Christmas Kisses by Judith Keim. Cedar Mountain Lodge. Judith Keim is a very descriptive writer especially when she is describing the cake. I loved it that Hailey Kirby is a librarian and a writer for children’s books. One of my very favorite stories to read to my grandchildren is good night moon. Haileywrites under the pen name of Lee Merriweather.. I love the title of the story. Christmas kisses can mean two things the kisses for someone you love and the candy kisses you buy for someone. This Christmas story has it all love romance, and a happy ending.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

It seems that years have gone by since the time that four young girls found security and love in Maddie,’s home.

Now the girls have grown up, their lives are changing. One of the sisters is set to get married at the Cedar Mountain Lodge.

So Hailey plans on enjoying the holidays and the wedding with her family. That is until the wedding is called off.

But they still want to make the best of things, and they decide to stay at the lodge.

For Hailey, whose the town librarian, but she’s also a secret children’s book author, it’ll be a time to relax. That is until Nick Hensley, a well-known rock star turns her world upside down.

It appears he wants permission from the author so that he can write songs to accompany the popular books. Does Hailey finally let the world know who she is?

Can these two make their own special music to make together?

This book has the warmth and glow a small town romance needs during the most magical time of year. It will warm your hearts as you turn every delightful page and openthe doors to love when you’re not expecting it.

A book about second chances, family and relationships. I didn’t read the first book in the series but I don’t feel like I am missing out on getting to know the characters. Speaking of which, they are fabulous. Two opposites, wanting a relationship but not believing the other would want them. A must read.

Thank you to NetGalley, Judith Keim and Wild Quail Publishing for the ARC of Christmas Kisses.
Christmas Kisses by Judith Keim is the second book of the Soul Sisters at Cedar Mountain Lodge series.
I fell in love with this family and I would love to meet them all. The writing is easy to read and draws you into their lives.
Hailey and her sisters get together to spend the holiday with their foster Mom. They may not be a traditional family, but they are a family and life has thrown them each things but together the love they share gets them through their bumps in life.

Christmas Kisses is a sweet holiday romance, which also highlights a bit how it can be being a (former) foster kid. The story might be a bit predictable and in some cases a bit too sweet though, at least for my taste.

this is the second book of a series. each book is written by a different author. I went and found the prequel and learned a lot about Maddie Kirby. I was impressed that she decided to take in 4 girls who had lost families. This story is about Hailey who is the youngest. It is a cute story and some of the wording is just a little to "sweet" for my taste. it was a fast read and had the typical HEA.

I really enjoyed Hailey and Nicks story. It was sweet and romantic. We need that now and again. It also left the door open for more stories

I don’t even know where to begin to not give so much away.... What a beautiful Character. This second book is about Hailey and what life is like for her fifteen years later from the day that she was taken to the door step of Mrs. Kirby’s house. Hailey is one of the four Kirby Sisters that was fostered/adopted by Maddie Kirby. Hailey is living in the same town that she grew up in and still admiring the high school crush that was formally in a popular band. What Hailey didn’t know is the unexpected relationship that she was going to develop with Nick on her Christmas vacation. The only thing that could ruin it will be the major secret that she is keeping from the world. This beautiful journey is a wonderful read. I can’t wait for book three to come out. I promise you will not be disappointed with this wonderful series. You should start from the beginning... and will not stop reading. I highly recommended to all!! (If I could give 6 starts I would have for this one.)
Thank you NetGallery, Wild Quail Publishing, and Judith Keim for this advance read.

This book will put you in the Christmas spirit. I would give this holiday story 3.5 stars. This is the second book in the Soul Sisters at Cedar Mountain Lodge series. I really liked the sisters story and the lodge setting. This story was a lot like a good Hallmark movie, It was sweet, romantic and a bit predictable. Hailey and Nick are a sweet couple and they have good chemistry. I felt the storyline was a little slow for my taste at times. Overall I would recommend this for fans of romance and Hallmark style movies.

**I received and voluntarily read an e-ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

Although it's part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone.

It's a nice read that fits well into the genre. If you read the plot summary on the book you pretty much know what you're going to be getting. There's nothing new or original except maybe a little bit of a darker backstory for some of the characters. But that's why people like books like this, we know where it's going and in years like 2020, that can be a soothing thing.

At times, several of the characters sounded quite similar and I would have liked to have seen a little more variation. Some of the plot felt a little bit too easy to resolve, but overall, it's an easy read to get you by until the Christmas movies start.

I hadn’t read the previous book but I still enjoyed this light easy read. Hailey is a librarian but also an author of children’s books. Nick is a musician with a niece who enjoys the Charlie books written by Hailey.

Hailey had a tough childhood with two awful foster homes before being fostered by Maddie. Both Hailey and Nick have trust issues that have to be worked at.

This was a cute story that had a lot of heart! I hadn't read the previous book in the series, but it didn't stop me from enjoying this one. I will admit, it wasn't quite as light as I normally like my holiday fiction, but I think that it is a touching and heartfelt story.
