With this being an election year, I really wasn't that excited to read this book. I'm a little worn out from all the political drama. That being said, I'm so glad that I read this book! Addressing the issue of the first female President who is single, was very entertaining. Anna is a very interesting character that has a hurtful past with Navin, who happens to be a reporter. When he's assigned to the white house press pool they end up running into each other often. The hurt that Anna feels from her past dealings with Navin must be put aside. So what if she thinks he's the sexiest man she's seen. The banter and professionalism between these two are to be admired. Very clever dialogue that keeps you engrossed. My one and only complaint is that the person leaking information isn't revealed. I highly recommend this book!

I had a difficult time connecting to the main characters Anna and Navin. Because of that it took me longer to read as I kept putting book down. The book became interesting when Sunshine entered the story. I felt she made the other characters more human.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley for my voluntary honest review.

I received an ARC for honest feedback.

When I saw who the author was, this was not the book I was expecting. There was a sweet love story between Anna, the first female president of the United States and Navin, her ex-lover from when they were in law school together who is now a reporter in New York who is reassigned to the press pool in Washington DC. Navin learns that there is a mole working on the inside of Anna's White House, but we never really learn who that mole is. It is nice to see, though, a strong independent female who can bring awareness to topics like Childhood Cancer, however she does face some typical stereotypes like "who would want to be the first gentleman?". A good book during this election season.

“It’s like I’m holding a stick of dynamite, and I know I’m going to get burned, but I don’t care because I want to keep it in my grasp just a little longer.”

Perfect timing for this release during a pandemic and presidential election. I would love to put this strong lady on the ballet. She is trying to do everything for the people while sacrificing her personal wishes. She puts on a brave face in front of others~yet feels so alone when she isn’t in front of an audience or her staff. No one REALLY knows Madame President...or do they?

“But never forget that she is dangerous and can cut you into shreds while being so charming, you won’t know you’re bleeding until she’s gone.”

This book has many elements...second chances, secrets, heartache, regret, mystery and pride to name a few.

“It’s…we’re complicated.”

“I’ve never liked it when people use that as an excuse. Of course it’s complicated. It concerns people, and people by their very nature complicate things. If it’s easy, one of you is either dead or doesn’t care. That’s when I’d get worried.”

TSM knows how to write a steamy scene and make you jealous of everyone involved.

I absolutely devoured Madame President by new to me author Tara Sue Me. This is a captivating political romance that I could not put down. It has a bit of steam and a lot of sexual tension. The main characters are likable, smart, and easy on the eyes.

Anna Fitzpatrick is the new President of the United States, being the first female to hold the prestigious office. She is a Harvard law school graduate, under 40, and single. As an independent, she is able to create change more readily than her predecessors. The country is flourishing and Anna has captured the world's attention.

During college, Anna spent an amazing evening with Navin Hazar, one of her study partners at the time. Now it is fifteen years later, and Navin is a well-known anchor for a major television network. He is a fair man with a heart of gold. Due to conflicting ideologies with management, he gets demoted to Anna's press pool. The passion they once shared so many years ago is alive and well, which makes both of their jobs somewhat difficult.

I truly enjoyed this book and the engrossing plot is both intriguing and sexy. The author writes with a lot of intensity, and as a result, I deeply felt Anna and Navin's connection. At times, reading this book felt like watching an episode of Scandal. This story temporarily took over my quarantined world and left me completed sated. If you are a political romance fan pick up a copy of Madame President, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic Romance! A stand-alone, second chance, political, modern day romance that makes you smile, mad, tingle, laugh and swoon. The characters are wonderfully crafted. They both have pasts, they both have secrets and sadness, and they both have futures to fight for and save. From the get go, I was drawn into this story, I immediately knew that we had a lot to learn about these two and enjoyed getting to know them and connect with them both over the course of reading their story.

Anna Fitzpatrick is an Independent candidate for President of the United States who wins the election. She is sharp, shrewd, brilliant, kind and single. But she is also dangerous because she can cut you into shreds while being so charming you will not even know you are bleeding until she is gone.

Navin Hazar is a national co-host anchor and has a past with the new President, that he hasn’t told anyone about and that is about to get him in seriously hot water with his job. So when he suddenly shows up as part of the press pool, President Anna Fitzpatrick is suspicious of why he is there. But these two still have an overwhelming chemistry between them, even though they try to fight it. Is this fate? Will they be able to make a relationship work? You need to read this to get all the juicy details.

Couldn’t put this down until I was done.

Received an early copy for an honest review.

A lighter look at the POTUS. It was fun to see the relationship from both sides. Happy that they moved the story along rather than rehash what happened. A charming and delightful romance. I especially enjoyed the addition of the family members, particularly the mother.

Political romances are typically not really my thing, however, I LOVE Tara Sue Me’s books and with the gorgeous cover of this book I decided to give it a chance and I am SO glad I did.
Anna has just been elected as President. Navin is a new member of her Press Pool. Eighteen years ago they were in law school together, they had on magical night together and two days later Navin left without a word. After a long period without a word, they are now working closely together. The connection they had hasn’t left and sparks quickly start to fly between them.
The chemistry between Anna and Navin is great. There is tons of tension between them throughout and I loved the slow burn between them. I love Anna. She is strong, she is a 36 year old, single woman and now she is President. She wants to do a great job for the country she loves so much. Navin had dreams of being a judge, however, a family emergency changed his life course. I had mixed feelings about him at first, but as the story continued I did start to love him.
Madame President is a pretty quick read and definitely something to check out if you enjoy political romances. There was a slight issue with the timeline and it was definitely different from previous books I’ve read by Tara Sue Me, but still an enjoyable story.

I finished this book in one sitting. It was a cute and romantic story that people will love. Do not expect to see any political realistic details.. that part was left out

Such a fun read, because though I am not American, it is a real novelty to read about a lady POTUS and her second-chance romance!

This is my first book by Tara Sue Me and I must say I enjoy her writing. I found out after getting to the last page that her normal niche is erotica. Thankfully there is more substance than that in this one and there is only one bedroom scene.

Politics was handled lightly for which I am glad because I do not enjoy politics!

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. This is my honest review.

Another sexy novel from Tara Sue Me, Madam President is the escapist fun we all need right now. President vs. news reporter in the hottest possible outcomes. A steamy, fun read.

Loved it!! It’s the kind of political book you want to read right now. Such a page turner. I could not put it down.

This was so different than Tara Sue Me’s usual books. I loved how realistic this was. Anna’s the president and she has a past with Navin. Navin is a lead anchor for a major news outlet and he gets demoted for not telling his bosses he knew her. He has to be in her press pool, but that can only be an advantage, right? There’s a lot of tension, angst, and longing with these two. There’s literally zero sex scenes, not something I expected from Tara Sue Me, the queen of super sexy sex scenes.
Even without the sex, it’s still a really good story about love and doing what’s best for yourself and your relationship.
I received an arc from Netgalley for my honest review.

I enjoyed the story, but there were some significant issues with the plot. The leak was a cause of the drama between the main characters, but was never resolved. I have a hard time imagining Navin couldn't pick up a phone after he got the call about his sister. David and his husband seemed to be at odds, but that was never fully explained even though it was mentioned. The timeline was a bit off with the sister's age and something that was said about law school. It could have been a much better book. I would not recommend this to library patrons.

A woman President! If only that was possible, but in books we can only imagine and dream!
The author brings President-Elect Anna Fitzpatrick alive in the pages and she truly does seem as though everything she represents is what we need in a President!

As a single woman President , Anna realizes that having a relationship with an old friend such as Navin Hazar, a renowned news anchor may not be in the best interests of either person or the country. However, Love is sure hard to keep under control when you are going to be seeing each other on a daily basis!

The author gives us a tremendous insight into what a single woman would deal with as a woman President! I found the book a delightful read and would recommend to anyone.

I received an advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

This was a really fun book to read. I love that the woman was in charge. Tara Sue Me did a great job showing us what it would be like in America with a woman President

I enjoyed reading Madame President by Tara Sue Me.

I did like that she left auf the bedroom scenes and concentrated on the banter of Anna and Navin. I was a bit disappointed that there was no follow up to the mole in the WH, because it was a big part of the story.

This is my second book by this author and won’t be my last.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ebook copy in exchange for an honest review.
