I loved The Paris Wife and was excited to read this new book by Paula McLain.
The main character Anna is a missing children detective who is struggling with hardship in her personal life. She escapes to her childhood hometown and quickly gets absorbed with a local missing girl case. There’s mystery regarding the case, as well as Anna’s current and past tragedies interwoven together.
Although the story started a little slow for me, it quickly drew me in about halfway through and I really loved the ending and how it pulled the storyline together.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for providing me an advanced copy of this book for review.
