What a wonderful story. I haven't read the first book, in fact, I didn't know there was one but it didn't matter. I really felt like I was going on this journey with the Bryant Sisters and was living through everything with them. Bella's story is similar to that of so many living during WWII, but it shows that love really can conquer. Lovely read.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

In this book, the Bryant Sister's are back, still performing for the troops and loving it..

Their personal love lives are going well, but, if only they had more time to spend together, they have to be patient.

It seems that Freddie is still a creep , meaning the girls look out for each other, that is, until Basil here's them talking, he lets them know that he will have words with Freddie.

This book was so full of emotion and so beautifully written.

Recommend it.

Another great book from Pam Howes. It was lovely to catch up with the Bryant Sisters again. The war is still raging and there’s a lot going on for Bella, Fran and Edie as they travel the country entertaining the troops with ENSA. This book will take you through every emotion going as the girls and their loved ones fight to survive during these terrible times. Pam draws you right into the story so you feel you’re right there with them all. I highly recommend this book.

We are back with the Bryant Sisters in the second book of this series by Pam Howes. Like the first book The Girls of Victory Street I was gripped by this book from the very start, I just love this type of saga books based around war time . The characters are so good in this book and for anyone who is a fan of this genre I highly recommend this series,

Bella Rogers ,is one of the Bryant Sisters, a singing trio that entertains the military troops while awaiting Hitlers Regime to make their next move. Bella’s own father is currently in France fighting the German troops.
While England is being heavily bombarded families are sending their children to people in the countryside to keep them safe. Bellas family to include her Mam are in the country for this very reason.

Bobby who is Bellas boyfriend was injured and as a result lost one of his limbs. Tragedy has struck not only Bella , but her fellow Bryant Sisters as well. The singing trio are eagerly awaiting the end of the war in order to finalize wedding ceremonies if loved ones come home!
Will Victory Street have a Happy ending with everyone having a loved one come home? Will Bellas Mam come home from the country? Will her dad and the other men all make it home alive?

The author depicts life and death with such dignity. Pam Howes handles other difficult subjects with reverence and goodness. The pride in the characters is a virtue that actually brings the storyline freshness and makes it more interesting and believable.

I definitely would recommend this book!

I received an advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

Wedding Bells on Victory Street by Pam Howes is an emotional World War II novel about a young woman trying to live happily ever after.

Bella is a singer in The Bryant Sisters, a group touring to perform for soldiers. Bella’s son is living with her mom and sister in Wales to avoid the air raids in Liverpool. Bella only gets to see him occasionally. Bella is dating Bobby who she has been in love with since childhood. Bobby is home from the war after getting injured. Bella’s little sister Molly wants to be a star just like her and is trying to get in the dance troupe that travels with Bella.

Wedding Bells on Victory Street is the second book in The Bryant Sisters series but can be read as a standalone. There were a few parts I wish I would’ve known more about, but not reading the first book didn’t lead to any confusion or take away from the story.

Wedding Bells on Victory Street is an emotional story. Bella is worried about Bobby leaving her when he finds out the truth. Family and friends are dying, missing, or getting injured in the war. Bella has the conflicting opinions of being happy on stage but missing her son. Molly isn’t happy stuck helping her mother raise Levi while Bella gets to travel and live her dream. Bobby is struggling with his injuries. There is so much going on in Wedding Bells on Victory Street that I did not want to put the book down. T

The characters are great and add to the story. Bella is always trying to make her life better and work towards a happy life. Bobby is so in love with Bella and trying to recover fast to sing with Bella. Bella’s mother is raising her son.

I recommend Wedding Bells on Victory Street to fans of emotional historical fiction fans especially fans of World War II stories.

Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for Wedding Bells on Victory Street.

I am excited to be taking part in the #BooksOnTour #BlogTour for Pam Howes' heartwarming tale WEDDNG BELLS ON VICTORY STREET.

My introduction to Pam Howes came with the fourth installment of the Lark Lane series and I absolutely fell in love with her easy style of writing and story-telling. Then she began the Bryant Sisters series with "The Girls of Victory Street" last July which was soon followed by this latest outing for the girls in WEDDNG BELLS ON VICTORY STREET. And oh, how I just love this book! It has it all...love, loss, happiness, tragedy, heartache and basically, heart.

When we left "The Girls of Victory Street" last, Liverpool was under a dark cloud in the midst of WW2 and the Bryant Sisters - Bella, Edie and Fran - were quickly making a name for themselves on the variety circuit. It is now 1943 and Bella Rogers finds herself, alongside her friends Edie and Fran, in demand for their heartwarming performances touring up and down the UK entertaining the troops for ENSA. Bella loves her life with ENSA but it comes at something of a cost.

On Christmas Eve the year before, she gave birth to a little boy named Levi and has left him in the care of her mother while she toured...and Bella misses her little boy deeply, aware of how much she is missing out on while she is away. Unfortunately, this also means that Levi sees her mother as his mother and Bella is but a passing stranger to him. Only a handful of people know the truth surrounding Levi's parentage, and for now, it is best kept that way.

Romance was beginning to blossom for Bella and her childhood sweetheart Bobby Harrison at the end of the last book, and after being trapped into a rather disastrous but short lived marriage to the conniving Alicia, the couple are finally looking forward to a future together...just as soon as his divorce comes through. After being injured when his plane crashed killing his father, Bobby spent many months in hospital recuperating with the amputation of his leg. Bella is thrilled to have Bobby home and no longer in danger in the air and, despite his injuries, cannot wait to begin her life with him. Only a secret could stand in the way of their happiness...and Bella knows she must tell him if there is to be any chance of a future together. The couple love each other deeply but still Bella worries how Bobby will take the news that she has a son. And more to the point, how Bobby's mother Fenella will take the news.

The danger in Liverpool saw Bella's mother Mary join her younger sister Molly in Conwy in North Wales, as well as taking Levi out of harm's way and to the peaceful quiet of the farm on which they now find themselves. That is, until a telegram bringing devastating news for Mary arrives, prompting their return to Liverpool and the memories she has there.

A face from >b>Fenella Harrison's past comes to visit bringing with him an air of trouble and uncertainty though she feels she has little choice in the matter. Despite being holed up in an attic room, her visitor cannot resist the urge to eavesdrop on conversations every now and then, seeking tidbits from which he can then benefit. But when Molly offers her services to Fenella as a maid after the death of her long-time housekeeper, danger is close at hand as Freddie sets his lecherous sights on the young girl.

With Edie and Fran's lads away fighting Hitler and his cronies and Bella's secret threatening to destroy her hopes of a future with Bobby, will the three women get their dream weddings once this war is over?

I cannot say how much I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Even more so than the first which I found frustrating many times at the countless events keeping Bella and Bobby apart. But this one was so heart-warming it was like coming home. While Bella and Bobby's relationship is continually put to the test, their love for each other is far stronger than either of them imagined. I loved reading about them. But for me the best part was the transformation of Bobby's snooty mother who was a thorn in Bella's side in the first book. I actually fell in love with the Fenella of this book and then in a heart-warming twist she opens her heart and her home to a family in need, which was completely at odds with the old snobbish Fenella.

Their story may have begun in "The Girls of Victory Street" but in WEDDNG BELLS ON VICTORY STREET it is strengthened and enriched by the love and bond the two families, and their friends, develop in the face of tragedy.

I thoroughly enjoyed WEDDNG BELLS ON VICTORY STREET and, while it is only second in the series, I hope their stories don't end where the war has as I would love to see where life takes the Bryant Sisters and their extended families in the future. Utterly unputdownable that will have you hooked from the first page.

If you loved the Lark Lane series, Nadine Dorries' Lovely Lane and Nancy Revell's Shipyard Girls, you will LOVE the Bryant Sisters.

I would like to thank #PamHowes, #NetGalley, #Bookouture for an ARC of #WeddingBellsOnVictoryStreet in exchange for an honest review.

When we left the Girls of Victory Street, WWII was raging and The Bryant Sisters were touring the UK, entertaining the troops for ENSA. Bella was thrilled to have Bobby home from the war, albeit injured and suffering the effects of losing a leg. This isn’t a problem for either of them as they love each other deeply. Only a secret can stand in the way of their happiness.
I enjoyed this book as much as the first in the series, The Girls of Victory Street. Pam Howes does an excellent job of making sure that you can read wedding bells as a standalone novel but, I would recommend the series.
I enjoyed hearing about Bella’s mother and sister, living in Wales, having been evacuated from bomb struck Liverpool. Life on the farm suits them but their hearts lay in their home in Wavertree. The telegram announcing the loss of Mr Rogers was heart-breaking and more so as I imagined the sheer volume of those telegrams over wartime.
If you read the first in this series, you already know what Bella’s secret is and how devastating she believes it could be to her relationship with Bobby. I shall avoid spoilers, of course, but reassure you that their love for each other is stronger than either of them imagined.
For me, the best part was the transformation of Bobby’s snooty mother. Losing her husband and seeing her son return injured certainly knocked the proverbial stuffing out of her. It was a heart-warming twist that saw her open her heart and home to a family in need of safety and security.
This book and the series is something special and I certainly recommend it!

Ohhh I love these books. Now those of you that know will know this isn't my usual genre, however Pam Howes has a way of writing these books that as soon as I see one, I need to read it. We are back in this series with the lovely Bella Rogers. It's 1943 and Bella is still singing in her little trio called The Bryant Sisters. Bella's little boy 'Levi is staying with her mother which is allowing Bella to continue to tour with the girls and sing for their troops.
Bella want romance to blossom with Bobby, her childhood sweetheart. Things could be looking up for her, but first she really needs to tell Bobby some truths. The biggest one being that she has a son. Bella is worried at how Bobby will take the news.
Living through the war will teach people that if they have happiness they should hold on to it. Take what ever is thrown at you and make life good. Pam shows this in the words, this book is Heart-breaking, Heart-warming and unputdownable once started. Having read the previous book (you should, in my opinion) then it was back with familiar characters that we'd grown fond of. I felt like I was visiting distant family that I hadn't seen for a long time.
While this story concentrates a lot on Bella and Bobby, we get to know a little more of the other characters and their families. I love Bella's mother Mary and grew to love Prunella, Bobby's mother also. It's amazing how two such different families have so much in common. I think Pam has tied a lot of the strings of the story, together, beautifully.
This truly is a beautiful story and as the nights are getting darker and colder, Now would be a good time to get your blanket, get a cuppa and get comfortable because once you start the amazing book you will not want to put it down. Pam certainly brings the times and struggles of the second world war to life in this book. The emotions through this read are real, you could almost be with the characters.
First class, fantastic as always. I look forward to more.

Thank you to NetGalley for an electronic ARC of Wedding Bells on Victory Street by Pam Howes in exchange for an honest review.
It's now 1943 in book two and
The Bryant Sisters, the singing trio, are back. Bella is looking forward to seeing Bobby Harrison her childhood sweetheart. Her sweet baby boy, Levi, is staying with her 'mum' but she needs to tell Bobby the truth about Levi, if she and Bobby are to have a future together.
The Bryant sisters are a hit on stage with their dresses with full skirts and sweetheart necklines, singing to bring joy to all who come to see them. Bella and the girls are such good friends and dream of their futures and once this dreadful war ends, will all the girls get their dreams weddings? The magical question...

I really liked this book, and the characters, (most of them) the bad guy in this story is truly bad!!! It's lovely we get to learn more about Bella and her story. Her childhood sweetheart is Bobby. Bobby fought in the war and is recovering from injuries. He hasn't stopped loving Bella so their story continues. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put this down.

The thing I loved most about this book was from the first page you felt like old friends were visiting, the characters were so familiar.
The story centred on Bella and Bobby, following the ups and downs. Keeping you entranced all the way.
We keep up with the lives of Fran and Eddie too. I loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Wedding Bells on Victory street by Pam Howes is the second book in the series and after reading the first. I couldn’t wait to get stuck in.
It’s 1943, Bella Rodgers is once again singing with the Bryant sisters. Singing to entertain the troops fighting the war. Doing her bit. She loves touring the country but she also missing her son Levi, who is now six months old and safely living on a farm in Llandudno in Wales with her mother and her sister Molly. Away from the air raids in Liverpool. The girls are on a few days break wishing it were longer to visit her son. She goes and visit her childhood sweetheart Robert Harrison or Bobby as his friends call him. Bobby fought in the war but has now returned after being injured. She worries telling him about her son Levi. Who she had after she had a brief affair with an American soldier. Then discovered that he had a wife back home.
This is another beautifully written. emotional story from Pam Howes. I loved every minute of the story and the characters. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put this down. Learning about how people entertained the troops during the war. It was not always the glamour that it portrayed. It was hard work and people made sacrifices. But there were also good times, when times are hard, I loved how everyone got together to help each other. Sounds a bit like this year really. Fiver stars from me.

This is the second book in the Bryant Sisters series. Whilst it is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone book. We are back in the Liverpool area mid-way through the Second World War. Bella Rogers, as we know from the previous book is part of the singing group, The Bryant Sisters, who travel around the country entertaining the troops! She enjoys her singing and the group are doing well, but Bella is keen to get back home to see her childhood sweetheart, Bobby and her son, Levi.

This was a lovely warm-hearted story which gripped me from the first page. I remembered the characters from the previous book, and settled back into the storyline very easily. There were so many emotions running through the book, that I did feel quite tearful at times, but equally filled with joy at others. I liked Bella’s character and did feel for her being away from home for such a long time, particularly having to leave her baby boy, Levi with her mum, Mary. Levi was the result of a brief affair with a married black US airman, and I have to admit I always thought children of mixed parentage during the war would have been frowned upon just as much as unmarried mothers! The author though has portrayed Bella’s situation very favourably and everyone welcomed little Levi with open arms…and why wouldn’t they, he sounded absolutely gorgeous and every time he was mentioned it brought a smile to my face!!

The book is full of the struggles that the wartime brings, but also shows how much people rallied together when things got tough. There were unlikely friendships made between characters which, if you read the previous book, you never would have thought of, and family secrets are on the verge of being revealed. It is an emotional story full of family relationships, love and secrets, although it’s not all bad news with the story showing the good old wartime spirit with happier times of concerts, singing and of course a wedding!! I really enjoyed this book and once started I found it difficult to put it down! All of the characters gave something to the storyline, whether good or bad, and I hope there is another book of the series to carry on their storylines past the war. Would definitely recommend!!

I just love books set in this era and I'm a big fan of Pam Howes and this book was up there with the best. It's everything I expected with a rollercoaster of emotions, from heartbreaking to happiness and everything in-between. I read the first book in the series and it was nice to revisit and catch up with the girls and their family and friends.

Book two and it's 1943 in Lancashire Fulwood Barracks, Bella Rogers misses her baby son Levi he is six months old now and away living on a farm in Llandudno safe from Liverpool with her mum and sister Molly.
The Bryant Sisters along with Bella we have Fran and Edie, The singing trio are due a couple of days break back home and Bella is looking forward to seeing Bobby Harrison her childhood sweetheart, wishing she had more time off to go to Wales also to see her family. Levi is the result of a brief affair with married man Earl Franklin, but courage is needed she needs to tell Bobby the truth if they had a future together.
The Bryant sisters were a hit where ever they go to entertain, looking beautiful with dresses with full skirts and sweetheart necklines, and sang to their hearts content.
once this dreadful war ends, the girls all with sweethearts of their own, will they all get their dreams weddings?
I loved this book, its so beautiful to read and focus on Bella as we get to learn more about her.
its will bring warmth and joy to all readers all on it own.
