It's always good to dive into the best promises in the world, the only ones guaranteed to be kept, those made by God. This book gives you a different promise every day, through weekly themes. Each day includes a promise from the Bible, a short devotional thought, and a prayer to help you apply that promise to your life. This would make a lovely gift or a great addition to your own devotions.

I gratefully received a free ARC from the publisher and author via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.

What a beautiful devotional book! These devotionals, which focus on Bible promises, are the perfect way to begin or end your day. The devotions are well-written, and I thought each one fit the corresponding verse very well. This book would not take the place of a detailed Bible study, but are thoughts that can be read in just a few minutes and be that extra boost of encouragement to help you throughout the day. This devotional book is comforting, encouraging, and sometimes convicting. This book would be an excellent gift for any occasion.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This devotational book is broken up into themes that can be found throughout the Bible. The tone of the author’s words and the subject matter at heart made me feel like God was speaking to me. The warm colors invited me in each morning and I look forward to purchasing this on publishing date. Thank you, Barbour Staff for another fantastic devotational.

If you have to select only one year long devotional, let this be among the top of your list. I love the reminder to not forsake God’s promises, for they are the anchor, power and breath of our lives. Perhaps what it is notably different in this version for women’s Bible Promises is the organization by weekly topics. I love that each page has a border note for the week and the topic, making it easier to find, and keep, your place. The flowers and color schemes provide beautiful page design. A Scripture Index is provided as well. This would make a great devotional or gift for women of all ages and stages of faith.
I was given a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own, freely given.

Let me start by saying that I love devotionals. In particular, I find myself excited at the mere thought of working my year though a yearly devotional with daily or weekly readings, and the fact that one year later, I will become this much wiser. There's a great sense of accomplishment every time I turn to a new day or week, which really keeps me going and helps to challenge myself with my prayers.

For this reason, The Bible Promise Book was so exciting from the start! It offers 365 prayers for women divided into weekly themes, for example sin, faith, love, forgiveness, fear etc., which I loved because it clearly shows the progress in prayer over the year. This if a huge hit for me.

As far as the daily prayers are concerned, I really like their consistent design which begins with a (very) short Bible excerpt followed by an explanation/expansion of the topic, which gives you food for thought for the day. Every day ends with a short personal prayer, which not only makes this devotional feel more accessible, but also satisfyingly complete.

The only thing I would have preferred to be different is the visual design, I think it would be so much more exciting with more illustrations. The cover is phenomenal, but there are not too many illustrations inside - maybe it's basic, but I love to get excited about the visual side of a book I'm going to look at for a full year.
