I love this book. It is wonderfully written and Lisa Campion seems to be very knowledgeable. Lots of good, practical advice. Easy to read. An excellent book to have as a reference to pick up whenever you need it

Interesting read. Going into the book knowing nothing about the topic I feel well informed and was interested enough to finish the book fairly quickly.

This book is incredible. It's very informative yet not boring like some self help books out there. I loved the real life examples that were given as well, it made it seem more relatable. There were several activities in the book that I found helpful such as the Seven Day Letter Writing Cure . This is a must read for any empathetic whether you're a beginner or experienced.

This is an invaluable book for any empath. I found myself reading parts that resonated and helped to make things in the past make sense. The advice and tools given are so invaluable and I will certainly be using the techniques whilst going about my daily life. The sentences were easy to read and the whole text flowed really well. A definite must read.

Energy Healing for Empaths by Lisa Campion is a free NetGalley ebook that I read in mid-December.

Back before Covid, I was somewhat concerned about energy loss with regards to the people I would be in contact with through work or at play. So, if it were still a worry for anyone, this book goes over tactics and techniques to protect and calm yourself, interpreting chance, meaningful encounters in this life as being representative of former relationships in past lives, no longer absorbing the errant, negative feelings and emotions of others, and putting a definition and name to feelings and emotional occasions.

Many thanks to the author, publisher, and Netgalley for allowing me to review a digital arc of this book.

This book offered case studies, definitions, and practical advice to empaths struggling with boundaries. The author points to other topics such as codependency as well as resources and tools to assist empaths such as meditation. I found this book to be not only easy to digest and understand; concise enough that the reader can get a lot of out it without feeling overwhelmed. I think the book would land best for those readers who know a bit about reiki going into it.

This is the first book I’ve read about empaths. I think it’s a great introduction. It’s thought provoking and I like the tips on boundary setting.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Energy healing for Empaths is a great, resourceful and informative guide to starting to protect yourself through your life from energy vampires and finding ways to stop this happening, grounding yourself and setting healthy boundaries with these energy vampires. This book guides you to recognising when it is happening, recognise these people and helping you to protect and heal yourself.
There is so much great information in this book with fantastic examples to back them up as well as easy to understand and follow text. This book felt like a friend talking to me as I read it and I connected really well with it as I read it.

Energy Healing for Empaths is a book summarizing the experiences of empaths and psychics. The topics covered include how to protect energy, manage intensity of emotions, set boundaries, and how to recover or exchange energy.

This book provided a helpful introduction to the world of empaths and psychic teachers. I liked the content and enjoyed learning more about how to juggle this experience in the real world while setting boundaries and ensuring that others do not interfere with these truths. The strategies offered to ensure that empaths can maintain good energy were tangible and I could see them being applied to improve day-to-day life.

I have to admit this book was not what I was expecting just because I didn't know about the psychic experience! I thought it was more related to people who are very sensitive and empathize to the point where it can impact their emotional state (which is kind of what this book says in a way).

Overall I enjoyed learning more about this, but think the title could be a bit more clear to let people know more about the topic!

Empaths need to take special care to protect and maintain their energies, and this book gives a great walk-through that would be great for newly-identified empaths, as well as those looking to be more true to themselves and better uphold boundaries. I appreciate the author's insight and perspective and this book will definitely help me as I relate to myself and others.
Many thanks to New Harbinger and NetGalley for the advance copy.

How frustrating is it to be told by all the different sources the things you must do to be successful in life? This book definitely does NOT do that. It instead takes an empathetic approach and gives bite size approaches and allows you to have kindness and patience with yourself when dealing with life. This is so necessary for everyone to read in life. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

An easy-going Self-Help intuitive book based on Lisa Campoin's years of experience as a Reiki practitioner. Are you an empath? Let's find out. Do you connect to nature? Are you non-violent? Sickened by suffering? Are you drawn to people most in need of nurturing and protection? If you answered yes or even maybe to any of these questions, chances are you are an empath, an intuitive psychic sensitive, and a healer. And if you are any or all of these things, there is a high probability that you have met people who have drained your energy come to you to be healed, with dark intentions. Lisa Campion calls them energy vampires. That's what piqued my interest. Campion says they live among us, and I agree. Who doesn't know someone who drained them emotionally psychologically and simply moved on? If you don't, you're probably are an energy vampire yourself but worry not read the book. Campion will have you up and running in the right direction in no time.
I'm not convinced that just anyone can be trained to heal. I think that's a very rare gift, but Campion offers earnest, thoughtful, and helpful knowledge to enhance our lives, not force a philosophy upon us like many self-help books. "Take what you want," she says, and that was reassuring.

After all, she is an empath! I wanted to learn how to deal with those people who came into my life that intimidated me through fear and caused my chest to tighten with anxieties. And I found what I was looking for. These energy Vampires can be identified, blocked, and avoided, and Campion offers solutions and exercises that help stave off the negativity that I was absorbing. And I took my knowledge and went to the swimming pool where my energy Vampire lay in wait, and I did what Campion said, and it worked. All of a sudden, I was not being bombarded with their negativity. I checked that at the door, and I started bombing them with my healing energy, which defused his power and increased mine. I self helped my way to build a boundary. No, I do not ever want to be friends with that Vampire, but I learned how to put him in his place. Thank you, Lisa.

And Campion piggybacks on that in another chapter called "The Power of No." I never had a problem saying no, but I did have a problem saying it calmly with respect, not like a person caught in a trap panicking. She suggests, "Thank you for thinking of me, but I have so much on my plate." That works for me!

There is an excellent section of Campion's personal philosophy of how the world's energies work through reincarnation, the old souls, new souls, and warrior souls. She also delved into soulmates or twin flames and dispelled the myth that all soul mates are happily ever after relationship. I suspected as much, but she was able to break it down yet preserve respect for the connection; what can a soulmate do for us? Why do they show up? And why are some destined to leave?

Like all self-help books, Campion gives examples of people she helped in her private practice, and they rang true. These days many writers are using computer programs to write books with chronic examples, name dropping, and research tidbits. Not this one. This is a good subway or bus read. It's accessible, thoughtful, and, yes, healing. Well done!

I forgot most of that I read in this book. A lot of the information has been written before and almost identical to some great books on energy healing and empaths. This is a good starting point for those interested in what an Empath is, but if you ARE and empath and have lived with it for most your life - this book is better rented from the library.

Wise words of advice from an empath. It is not easy to be sensitive, but it is a gift, but one that needs careful handling, to not go off the rails, and spiral down, because one is too sensitive to bear things that others maybe find easier. The author gives a guide for dealing with energy vampires and setting boundaries. All in all a useful and interesting book.
