Was unable to complete this books but it was very interesting. Sadly ran out of time in reading it. Cannot wait to read it at another time and experience it from the start again.

Not Yo' Butterfly is a different breed of memoir, one I feel has been needed for some time. Rather than feel like a stale recitation of facts, Miyamoto gives readers not just a glimpse into her life and experiences, but holds their hand along the way to guide them. Insightful and healing are ways I would describe this memoir.
