Wow! The first word that pops in my mind after finishing The Jam and Jelly Nook. I cannot express how much of an absolute delight this story was. Amy Clipston never fails to blow me away with her talent and exquisite way that she brings a story to life. Sadly, this is the fourth and final story in "The Amish Markestplace" series that follows four wonderful cousins, as they find their happily ever after.
Leanna is the oldest of the cousins with a teenage son, Chester. After she lost her husband seven years ago, Leanna never imagined herself falling in love again.
Emory is a kind and hardworking Amish man, raising a teenage daughter, Maggie, after losing his wife several years ago. Maggie feels as though she must fill her Mother's shoes and take care of her Father and the house.
Leanna and Emory both struggle as single parents, wanting to do what is best for their children. While Chester is wild and acting out, Maggie is withdrawn from her peers and refuses to try to discover a life of her own.
While Leanna and Emory form a friendship and bond helping one another's children, love was never in the equation. Often, God has other plans, but it is up to each individual to open their hearts and minds and listen to what He has in store.
I have read many great books this year. I have to say, from the bottom of my heart, that The Jam and Jelly Nook is my favorite book so far! It is amazing, the series is amazing and I cannot recommend that anyone who is a fan of Amish Fiction, grab this series and dive in!! You will fall in love!
