I honestly didn't like this, everything felt to rushed and nothing made any since.
The plot was all over the place the characters where just un-relatable.

I really resonated with this character, as the child of addicts it was easy to lose myself in the character of Bronwyn. While the description of this book gave off thriller/mystery vibes, there's actually very little of that (in fact, the twist that the story builds up to, wasn't al that twisty).

The story focuses mainly around Bronwyn adjusting to her new life and getting to know her biological father and his family that she had just become a part of.

I feel like a lot of her reactions to situations are realistic, but sometimes it was a little confusing. Obviously everyone grieves differently, but I found myself thinking, 'your mother died a week ago, what are you doing?'.

The romance was a sweet, slow burn that I enjoyed and wouldn't mind seeing more of.

It's been a minute since I devoured a book in a day. There were so many twists and turns, I found it hard to put down. I had to know what was going to happen next!

Homewrecker by Deanna Cameron is an engaging and emotional story about a young girl coming of age and finding family through traumatic events. The story is a great read that doesn't forget its characters motivations as the story progresses. While on the whole a very idealistic story with idealistic characters, set within a tragic event, the story beats and character development flow easily and keep the reader engaged. The change in the teenage protagonist from an embittered and closed off trauma victim was a delight to read and is recommended for all ages.

When Bronwyn's mom dies in a tornado, Bronwyn's sent to live with her wealthy father whom she's only met once. When she finds out who murdered her mom, she begins to question everything she thought she knew. This is a heartbreaking and intriguing novel.

Homewrecker really surprised me! I went into it cautiously optimistic and was hooked from the first page.

Bronwyn feels so real. I felt an instant connection with her. Her mother was an addict who definitely wasn't mother of the year, but she loved her the only way she knew how. When she dies in a tornado, Bronwyn is forced to live with her father, a wealthy man she only met once before. When she finds out her mother was murdered before the tornado hit, she begins to question everything she thought she knew about her mother, her friends, her absent father, and herself.

The mystery doesn't take long to guess, since there's only two real suspects. That's not what really drew me in, though. It was the drama. Deanna Cameron really seems to have a way with this genre and I can't wait to read what she writes next.

Aside from the grammatical/spelling errors that I'm sure will be fixed before publishing, this was close to a 5-star read for me.

Homewrecker is one of those rare books that takes you by surprise by how amazing it is. Bronwyn’s mother has many problems but she's the only parent she knows. So, when a tornado hits their trailer park and her mother is killed. Bronwyn has no other choice than to move in with her absent father. Bronwyn's living situation has changed for the better. But, having to live in the same house with half-siblings who don't understand her and a woman who was married to her father when her mother slept with him makes things hard. As time goes by and Bronwyn starts to bond with her new family. She starts to realize that maybe the things her mom told her about her father were a lie. When the police inform Bronwyn her mom wasn't killed by the tornado but was murder she has no clue who to trust. GREAT BOOK I can't wait to read another novel by Deanna!
