I thought this was a entertaining read, the characters were what I expected from this type of book and I enjoyed going through this adventure.

Jo is a photographer in war zones, and for her job she is currently photographing in bagdad. There she meat an old lady with a weird story and some weird pictures to prove it. The woman claims she can travel to portals to other worlds that are like the fairytales we know. She has all these pictures of her with the fictional characters as we know them, harry potter, mogli etc.
Jo is sceptical but she wants to find out if its true and decide to take a vacantion to the jungle to find out!

I loved the other magical worlds jo get to visit and i did like the interacting of the characters and i like that the characters are all a little flawed. It was a fun magical story, i was only a bit dissapointed that we didnt get to see the characters that were talked about in the beginning. That would have made it amazing. But if you dont expect that its still a really fun and magical story and i would recommend it.

I really enjoyed the overall premise of The Weaver of Dreams. I love the idea about their being different universes out there that we can travel too. In the beginning of the story when Joanne discovers photos of Fatima with the "real" Harry Potter and Twilight characters, I was like woah, that's so cool! I was hoping to see more of these fairytale lands that we know today from popular books, but I was disappointed to see that those were never mentioned again. There was a bit to much description for me to really get into the story, and a lot of Joanne talking in her own head. A lot of it was unnecessary to propel the story forward. I also think the dialogue between the characters was a bit too formal and didn't flow that naturally. Honestly, I could have used a lot more dialogue and a lot less description. I also noticed quite a few grammatical errors throughout. The last point I'll mention is the title. It's mentioned early on that Fatima can reach people through their dreams, and give them little anecdotes or ideas to later turn into reality. But that's where the idea of dream weaving ends, so I feel the title is a bit misleading, and should more hit upon the main ideas of portals and different universes. Overall, I really liked the concept of the story, but think it needs more fleshing out to really allow the reader to sink into this world.

This follows skeptic Jo who is thrown for a loop when an old woman tells her fairytales are real and she can travel through different portals that lead to different worlds, or, stories.

Now, I really love the concept but the writing is a bit...too much? Jo describes what she's eating, how she's feeling, it feels like a step-by-step description of someone going on an adventure rather than actually living the adventure. Sorry if this is a confusing way to explain it, but I supposed the problem lies within the pacing. I like Pablo, Jo, and the old woman well enough but not enough to get past the writing style.
