Thank you for the opportunity to review an advance copy of Scouting for Clues in exchange for honest feedback. I just read through the three stories included in this collection, and honestly, I thought they were simple, quick, and cute readings for a young reader. What really sold the book to me were the illustrations, which I thought were effective and entertaining, as well as modern and just very, very cute! Really, dogs are just sweethearts sometimes, and this cohort of dogs solving little doggy mysteries in the dog park was really adorable. I also thought that including three shorter stores instead of one long story was a great idea. The end of the book includes some informational tidbits which reflect on some of the points of the story, like why do dogs wear leashes or clothes. Really a great addition to a classroom or home collection for a young reader, and a great value for the price.
