I could really relate to Emma and her fantasies about James not coming home. And the guilt that comes from those fantasies. As a result, I could really relate to Emma and her story kept me reading even though I wasn't hooked on the multiple points of view. There were a few "clues' to what might have happened the night James died that felt a little heavy-handed as well.
But 3/4 in, everything started to come together and there were some damn fine plot twists as well.
