I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Lacey is doing what she's always wanted to do. She gets to be a princess every day. Enter single royal dad and his 6-year-old daughter. Light and fun to read.

Perfect for fans of the Meg Cabot's Princess Diaries series who are not quite yet ready for Harlequin. Theme park princess Lacey, just dumped, is unexpectedly is assigned to be the official escort to royalty: a single dad and prince and heir to a tiny kingdom of Bella Moritz. It's love at first waltz as sweet Lacey imparts gentle wisdom to dad and his tiny daughter to always be kind, make friends with the birds and butterflies, and never take off your tiara, even in the bubble bath. Doubts flare up when Lacey is invited to visit Bella Moritz and take part in a three day celebration of summer's flowers; can she hold her own? Are she and Prince Henry "just friends" or is there something more?

The story is cotton candy sweet, utterly charming, predictable, and totally chaste, making it a quick pick for a beach read.

I received a free advance reader's review copy of #OnceUponARoyal Summer from #NetGalley.

This will be a great addition to the romance section in my library. It involved adults, but was wholesome enough to be read by my students. Was it the deepest book I've ever read? Nope. Was it fun to read and sweet? Yup. Sure was.

Ah Hallmark, you did it again. You made me believe in fairytales and true love. Such a charming story with princesses, princes, and tiaras. Lacey, Henry, and Rose were wonderful characters and I enjoyed reading their story.

Good story!

Description
A theme park “princess” meets a single dad…who turns out to be a real prince!

Enjoy the delightful royal romance from acclaimed author Teri Wilson and Hallmark Publishing.

Lacey found her dream job: playing a princess character at a popular fairytale theme park in sunny southern Florida. Her diamond tiara might not be real, but the smiles of the children she meets every day certainly are. It’s just too bad that her ex-boyfriend was never impressed with her career choice.

Henry, the crown prince of Bella-Moritz, is trying to fulfill his young daughter’s birthday wish: to be a normal girl with a normal life. That’s why they’re pretending to be ordinary tourists at an American amusement park. Henry lost his wife four years ago, and he’s been going through the motions ever since. But could a meeting with a make-believe princess lead to real love?

☀️I don’t say this often but it could have been longer
☀️Ending could of been so much more

Overall this was a typical G rated Hallmark book. I loved the Disney feel it had to it and even though it was predictable and very stereotypical it left me smiling. Sometimes books like these are just what you need.

Thank you to netgalley, Teri Wilson and Hallmark Publishing for this complimentary book in exchange for an honest review.

Lacey has always wanted to be a fairytale princess after her mother fell ill as a child. Their ability to bring a smile to her face and bring hope was something that was a lasting memory sh would always remember. When she meets Henry and Rose, she feels and I sent connection and becomes their guide as Princess Sweetpea. Her rules as a princess were who Lacey truly was and provided just what Henry and Rise needed to bring some joy back into their lives beside a life of royal duties. Such a wonderful feel good romance!

I am a complete sucker for Hallmark books, never mind ones that have royalty within them - this was my absolute dream book! The concept was just the absolute sweetest idea. It was light, fun, romantic - everything you can want in a Hallmark book. I felt so much comfort reading about these characters, it was just the perfect escapism and Teri always knocks it out of the park with her romances - you can't fault her.

I love the light, fun and cute stories on the Hallmark Channel and being able to find stories of this style in books is a dream come true. But this time the plot didn't have the impact I expected, I don't know if it's a much repeated cliché of a commoner who falls in love with the prince and I expected something more and different, or because I didn't connect with the female protagonist.

My luck is that the prince and his daughter are adorable together, the conversations between them, the affection they have for each other really steals the show. I was surprised with the queen mother too and the scenes with her are also wonderful, my favorite was the scene that involves her granddaughter and a bathtub. Hilarious!!!

This was a wonderful quick feel good story with a happy ever after ending. Loved the characters and the storyline. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

This book truly lives up to its fluffy cover and title. I felt in safe hands for this author to deliver a cute and wholesome happily-ever-after ending.
I really loved both main characters, they each had their own problems and past to deal with but ultimately were simply likeable, of course they fell for each other!
I loved the quasi-Disney theme park where Lacey works and her passion for her princess job. The only criticism I had was I thought the declaration at the end was a little rushed, I would have liked to see Henry say a few more romantic things to Lacey in private before the big ball.
