An interesting collection of stories about reality and consciousness, perception, awareness and alienation with a dreamlike quality to the writing. Many of the characters see their worlds and relationships differently leading to a questioning of everything.

How to say this nicely . . . ? My interest was piqued by the description of the short stories in this slim volume. I read a great deal of off kilter fiction and find intriguing the the thought experiments and sideways view of reality of many current writers. William W. Chan certainly sets up situations and characters which should startle and perplex the reader. Instead, I find myself thinking that he doesn't quite "get it" . The narrative feels flat and the writing unfinished - like a draft of some good ideas for a finished piece that is waiting for development.. I've seen no other reviews even though publication date has passed and hope there will be more feedback for other potential readers to see.
