Oh, yea, this one’s a scorcher! Make sure you have a fan nearby and maybe chapstick too cause Swain is lick-your-lips delicious. A really fun read! HEA, of course. It’s a stand alone but the others in the series are just as good so make sure to read those too!

An Entertaining Romance.
Eden can’t stand fellow cadet Marcus Swain, so is not best pleased when they have to pretend to be a couple for an undercover op. But doth the lady protest too much?
Loved how this romance and the undercover op unfurled. A recommended read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received an advanced reader's copy of Undercover Engagement by Samanthe Beck from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I’ve read a few books by Samanthe Beck before and am familiar with the Private Pleasures series so I was excited to have an opportunity to be an advanced reader for the latest novel.
Overall, I felt this was a solid romance novel and I found it to be extremely well written (something I expect from the author and have not been let down by). The plot was engaging and evenly paced. The characters were nicely written (layers, folks!) and the dialogue was hilarious at times and a little heartbreaking at others.
And while our main characters - straight laced, by-the-book rookie cop, Eden Brixton, and swoon worthy con man turned maverick rookie cop, Marc Swain - had flaws, they were likable and had chemistry from the start. Once they began their undercover assignment, the heat was quickly dialed up to 11 (the steamy scenes were wicked hot).
This was a quick, fun read and I cannot wait for future novels by Samanthe Beck!

This was a fun steamy read however I thought the relationship between Eden and Marcus was a little disjointed. I felt I was reading scenes without transitions. The characters had chemistry but the story needed to be filled out.

Steamy and exciting, this was the perfect rainy day read. I have been on a romance kick recently and this book is why.
