I wish I would have had this book four years ago, before going through my divorce. Most think that once you leave your spouse, the easy part is over. But, the after separation abuse is worse than the divorce. There are times I almost regret leaving, just because of what I have to deal with daily. Michelle's words make you feel like you are sitting on the couch, in your jammies, sharing a glass of wine and talking with your best friend. Most do not understand what the process of getting to the other side of a divorce, and it is refreshing to see Michelle tell it like it is. She gives readers hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and in the end, you will be okay.

Thank you for NetGalley for providing a free copy of this book for my review.

Having followed Michelle Dempsey-Multack's podcast and Instagram account ahead of her book announcement I am familiar with her style and demeanor when providing tips and advice to divorced or divorcing moms who are navigating their co-parenting journey. Her book 'Moms Moving On' definitely echoes her mannerisms and casual conversationalist style that any of her existing followers will recognize – she sounds like she is sitting on your living room couch giving you honest and unfiltered support that may not be as easily heard from others. The chapter layout allows for readers to choose to flip to the specific advice they are looking for or to read from beginning to end as they need. Each chapter closes with brief highlights and an accompanying journal prompt. With the book being heavy in Dempsey-Multack's personal experiences and opinions, almost memoir-style, the chapter highlights were a quick way to get the chapter's themed information. I would have loved to see more information provided by Dempsey-Multack's many resources from her professional guests she has featured through her social accounts. As this book speaks to a more specific following I would pick and choose who to recommend this book to. However, if there are any moms going through a lonely divorce that do not have a range of friends or family to lean on for support, 'Moms Moving On' brings Michelle Dempsey-Multack's no-nonsense, empowering voice right to you, and she will chat about all the topics you're wondering about.

I appreciate the publisher, Tiller Press, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this electronic Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for my honest review.

I could never write enough good about this book and the timing I was approved for the ARC. It came at a time where I was truly going through the ringer. Like lost moms, you truly feel that once you separate the hard part is over. WRONG. The post separation abuse is real and much harder than the choice to leave. Michelle has a way of words and you truly feel like you are having coffee or drinking wine with her. I will forever be grateful for the words she so eloquently wrote in this book. Again, THANK YOU for your vulnerability and making other moms like myself feel like life will be ok in the end.

Thank you to NetGalley and Michelle Dempsey-Multack for this E-ARC in exchange for my honest feedback and review.

As someone just in the begging process of a divorce I really enjoyed this book. When it comes out in book form I may have to just buy it to keep referring to the advice and tips. The personal stories and journey that the author had included really made this feel personal and not clinical like most books in this genre. As a mother my biggest fear was how my children were going to take the news. Michelle's in depth breakdown about kids of different ages and how they react to news was very helpful and reassuring. Now I know how to speak to my kids about everything going on and how to help them. I'm definitely not ready to "get back out there" but I do appreciate the chapters on how to do so. I forsee myself going back and back to this book for reference and advice.
