This was a cute and quick read

I only counted it towards my Goodreads because I am reviewing it on netgalley

It’s a solid 3 stars. There wasn’t much rhyme or flow.

The kids had a good chuckle and a good ending with the kids having eachother rather then presents. And Christmas in July because the sloth is slooooooow.

As a kindergarten teacher for many years, I was always on the lookout for great Christmas books. This one didn't disappoint. Sloths are very popular with young and old, and the illustrations were just beautiful. I loved that it was a new take on The Night before Christmas, and children would instantly recognize this. The message that Christmas is not about gifts, but the love in people's hearts is not a new one, but it was delivered in a fresh and creative way. I love that he finally arrived in July!

Lots of things to talk about with kids in this book. I can see it becoming a classroom favorite!

Sloths are just the best! By seeing the cover, I knew this was going to be adorable and I was so right. Bright colors, cute take on The Night Before Christmas and of course, Slothy Claus. This was definitely be a family favorite!

Read this to my daughter tonight. She didn't care that it was a Christmas book, turns out it was a book about Christmas in July anyway. Some of the rhymes were a little off, but the illustrations were colourful and bright, and the message was clear. She loved it. Thanks for the copy, will be adding this to our Christmas books once it releases.

Cute! Slothy Claus has the spirit, if not quite the get-up-and-go, to deliver Christmas presents for the animals of the forest. However, the residents soon learn that there is more to Christmas, and plenty to celebrate, even if Slothy Claus is a bit delayed!

The illustrations were vivid, attractive, and detailed which will definitely appeal to young readers. This is a fun, funny tale that would be great for circle time or one-on-one reading.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

A cute story using the rhyms of The Night Before Christmas to tell the tale of Slothy Claus. All through the forest stockings were hung and trees decorated. Snacks were set out ready for Slothy Claus. But Slothy was sllllooooowwww. He would work a little bit and then take a nap. Before he knew it it was no longer Christmas Eve. The next morning there was nothing under the trees to be opened. Nothing! There were lots of sad faces. Slothy worked a little bit more the next day. But he didn't get far. There was much disappointment but soon they realized what they did have and then life in the forest was happy. Well in the middle of July when it was hot outside here came Slothy Claus and they had Christmas at last.

OMG I'm in love. This is a Slothy take on the night before christmas. Everything is done very slowly.

It's great. It's amusing and my four year old niece insisted I read it slowly. And I mean Slowly.

It has wonderful graphics. A cute story. What's not to love.

Enjoy!

This is an adorable Christmas book about Slothy who is super slow and misses the actual Christmas day but ends up celebrating in July! It was really cute and I loved the concept of family and love are always, not just around the holidays. Will be purchasing for my daughter this year!

Oh my this is such a cute little book! My 4 year old granddaughter loves Sloths and she loved this story. She especially loved it when I read slooooowly. It’s loosely based on ‘The Night Before Christmas’ and I think it’s a nice change from most of the Christmas books out there!

It's Christmas Eve and all the creatures in the forest are excitedly preparing for the big day. Those in the North Pole are just as busy getting everything set, except Slothy Claus doesn't move as fast as others. When Christmas passes and he still hasn't started his gift giving journey those in the forest are disappointed to see he hasn't arrived. Will their Christmas be ruined or will they find they had everything they ever needed all along?

One of my favourite things about Christmas is all the sweet storybooks and specials that warm your heart. With fun text in a familiar rhyme scheme and vibrant illustrations,.Slothy Claus makes a fantastic addition to a Christmas book collection. I loved this charming tale and found it an absolute delight. I think young ones (and those young at heart) would get a real kick out of it and enjoy the message of what truly matters.

If you're looking for a fun new Christmas book that's a joy to read you should enjoy Slothy Claus. This festive storybook is sure to bring a smile to your face and remind what matters most. It'd also make an excellent gift for anyone who loves sloths this holiday season!

Thanks to Netgalley and Thomas Nelson Children's for a free digital copy.

A funny little spin on the Night Before Christmas story where a sloth is Santa and he moves quite slowly... and his slowness has some ramifications. Very cute!

A fun and cute story to show Christmas is more of a feeling than anything. Great lesson for kids while staying fun.

Great story and illustrations. Embrace your inner sloth, move more slowly and things will still be there when you are ready. Chrismas in July or anytime is always great and people/things that are important are important all throughout the year. Sloths are my favorite.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Children's books for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This children's book has beautiful graphics. It is a bit silly, but still cute and enjoyable. It rhymes as well. And you know how sloths are.,...so so very slow. 4 stars

This was absolutely adorable. As a big fan of Christmas year round, I fully support a take your time kind of Christmas, especially when it arrives in July.

I loved how the author described what helped show the true joy, being together, no matter if one cannot have all the toys in the world. I loved that they all came together perfectly.

The illustrations were so perfect. I loved the vibrant colors and everything about them!

Thank you so much Thomas Nelson for the gifted copy! Slothy Claus was so cute! Can’t wait til pub day, Oct. 12th!
