I am glad that others liked GENIUS KITCHEN by Max Lugavere which features "Easy and Delicious Recipes to Make Your Brain Sharp, Body Strong, and Taste Buds Happy." My reaction was less positive, probably because I was looking for a more standard cookbook. In this text, roughly the first third of the book comprises rather "preachy" directions about how and what to eat (there is even a section on mouthwash!). Overall, the recipes use multiple (and sometimes unusual) ingredients and seem rather preparation intensive. Nutrition information is not provided. However, Lugavere is a popular personality and this book is part of a three book series so there may be requests in public libraries.

I follow Max on Instagram and really enjoy the content he puts out regarding health, diet and overall wellness. I was excited to get an advanced copy of his new cookbook, Genius Kitchen, which is a nice combination of nutrition advice and delicious recipes. This is a very vegetable heavy cookbook, which I loved, but there are also many excellent meat recipes. So far I have made two recipes from the book: shawarma burgers, and chicken thighs with artichokes and leeks (original recipe called for fennel but I subbed in leeks). Both were excellent! My family agreed that these were dishes they would want to have again. I'm excited to cook more from this book!
