I tried to like I'll Start Again Monday I just didn't care for it at all. I felt like the book was too long and wasn't that informative, rather a rant about her life and against all carbs.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book for my honest opinion.

After reading Made to Crave awhile back I am glad that I was able to read I'll Start Again Monday because it's an updated condensed version. It is a nice refresher.

I’ll Start Again Monday is a welcomed updated and condensed version of Made to Crave. I’m glad I was able to read this as Lysa gives some much needed reminders about health and is very encouraging!

A useful book on eating habits, it reminded me a lot of the one made to crave, it is one of the themes with which I identify this author. It is more than anything encouragement to carry out changes in your lifestyle but it is not a plan in itself.

I'll Start Again Monday: Break the Cycle of Unhealthy Eating Habits with Lasting Spiritual Satisfaction by Lysa TerKeurst is a wonderful book for anyone looking to get a healthier relationship with food. Looking at this issue from a Biblical perspective, the author brings so much to this discussion. This book can be life changing and I think readers would get a lot from it. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

“I’ll Start Again Monday” by Lysa TerKeurst was an insightful read. As someone who’s currently struggling with weight issues and body image issues, this was book was very helpful for me. Lysa writes about these topics with a Christian perspective. I liked how transparent she was with her struggles. We need to crave more of God and what He thinks about us than craving for any unhealthy obsessions. He is the only one that can fill the empty void inside of us.

I recommend this book!

While I thought this book had lots of value, there is nothing earth shattering about the information Lisa shares here. I’m on my own personal health journey, and this was a book that really spoke to me in a point in time where I could receive. I imagine that someone who isn’t ready to make health changes might feel differently when reading this.

You can’t go wrong with a Lysa Terkeurst book!
Having this book gets you the motivation and the grace to don’t give up on your health. The biblical perspective on cravings and diets got me hooked on the book.

Lysas book was very insightful and helpful in the fight to battle body image. I enjoyed her perspective on the topic and her insight into what the Bible has to say about it. I would recommend it to anyone but warn that there might be some trigger language or examples.

I Needed this Revised Condensed Version of Made to Crave!

Years ago I read Made to Crave and pulled so much out that I still use in my journey to a healthier me. This new condensed version has me finding even more nuggets (NOT chicken nuggets 😉) to take away and has given me another push in the right direction.

Are you ready to make some changes? If you struggle with weight or being healthy this book can help motivate you to start wherever you are in your journey to take that first step and build on it. This is a great companion to whatever “plan” you are using. Noom, Weight Watchers, Keto… Read the book make some decisions.. “find your why?“ just know we all have to get started somewhere.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I really enjoyed Lysa TerKeurst's latest book. I appreciated how condensed and concise the material was. It was both an encouraging and practical read for women who want to learn more about honoring God with their bodies and self-discipline in the area of eating and taking care of our bodies.

This is a book I am sure that I will have to go back to a few times. The journey of eating well, etc is sometimes an ongoing one. I bought a copy of this book for myself (even though I was granted the digital one) and bought one for my Mum and a friend. This book, like other Lysa had written, hit me right where I needed it

I read the book Made to Crave a while back. I am glad that I was able to read I'll Start Again Monday because this is an updated and condensed form of Made to Crave. I am glad that I was able to read this refresher. This book really helps me with my struggles.

This book took a topic that is close to many women's hearts and came at it from a spiritual perspective. I think that will make some people embrace it but may make others less interested. The writing style was conversational, but I would have loved more personal examples.

This book is not a traditional diet book. Instead, it deals with the spiritual and emotional needs of individuals who need to adopt healthier eating habits. Lisa TerKeurst is a well know Christian author and speaker. She writes this book from her personal perspective of someone who has dealt with weight issues and overeating. It is an update of her perviously released book Made to Crave, so if you have read that book, as I had, you might not need this book.
As a nutritionist, I have found that most people who want and need to lose weight know what they SHOULD eat. The problem is sticking with healthy eating. This book could be extremely helpful for helping them navigate the emotional spiritual issues that are the real reasons they are not losing weight. This is written from a Christian viewpoint and includes many Bible verses. I highly recommend it.

I’ll Start Again on Monday felt very similar to her years-ago release Made to Crave. However, food is still the drug choice for so many, and the message is as needed today as it was then. It is a quick and easy read but filled with Gospel truth. She really nailed the core issue when she said “we feel overweight physically but underweight spiritually.“ Overall, this is a good book — a little repetitive of her past work but an important message for today.

I received this book free in exchange for an honest review. I enjoy Lysa’s writing style for sure and can definitely relate with the struggle to overeat and live to eat attitude. I have read this book twice now and hope that it can help me make some last changes

When I originally requested this book, I didn’t know what it was about; I just immediately requested based on author alone because I’ve loved the previous two books by this author and felt like I gained a lot from them. If I had known this book was a spiritualized dieting book, I would not have sought it out. While there were thoughts and ideas I hadn’t dwelled on before in this book and brief moments of conviction, it overall seemed like it was making too big of a deal about weight—especially since it wasn’t supposed to be about weight. Additionally, mentioning specific numerical weights could be a trigger for readers with a history of eating disorders or other unhealthy relationships with food or scales.

Thank you NetGalley for my arc. If you are looking for a book that tells you what to eat and what not to eat, this is NOT this book. This is a book about trusting God and turning to Him instead of food to cope with life. Lysa is very upfront and open about her struggles and how she was able to use God’s words to help her through her journey to a healthier lifestyle.
