Great book to have on your shelf for guidance and reference. I love to learn about astrology and the book was easy to understand, unlike other astrology books.

I’m obsessed with astrology and the moon so picking this one up was a no brainer. I didn’t expect this one to go into as much depth as it did. I recommend it for any witch’s book shelf.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy. This is my honest review.

The material in this book is of great value. I honestly wasn't expecting it would analyze the topic so deeply. There's a lot we can learn from it. Take your time to read it, don't try to rush the experience. A great read for those interested in Astrology.

Thanks Llewellyn Publications for the DRC.

I thought this book was very informative and interesting. To me moon phases are more important than the sun's position for learning about myself and what influences my life. (I never go gambling during a full moon). This book is a must for any witches library. I received this book from Net Galley and Llewellyn Worldwide for a honest review. This is one.

I liked how this book instigates me to think more about astrology in terms of the moon's connection with the sun and the other planets. It's really interesting and it offers new insights that I know I'll be able to use in my own practice. It's definitely not for beginners, though. Even I, as an intermediate-level astrologer, can be confused at times since this book has jargon that only advanced astrologers understand. Plus, degrees and mathematics were peppered in the contents of this book. I understand the importance of those since that's the way we are able to connect the moon with the other signs, by getting their distance from each other in the natal chart. But, as a person who despises math and computation, I was always inwardly groaning whenever I see degrees and numbers in this one.

Nonetheless, I learned a lot from this book, and it really is a thought-provoking astrology book to read since I was able to understand myself more in terms of the relationship of my moon sign to the other signs in my natal chart. I'm planning to re-read this sometime soon to familiarize myself more and for me to be able to understand everything and incorporate that knowledge and understanding during my readings with other people.

DNF at 37% I want to premise this review by saying that I am certainly a beginner when it comes to astrology. I was really intrigued by the synopsis of this book, especially since it focuses on the moon. Unfortunately, it simply wasn't the book for me. The first couple chapters were okay, but by chapter 3 everything was just info dropping, which was quite overwhelming for a beginner. Overall, I wouldn't say this is a bad book, in fact, the first couple chapters were pretty interesting. However, I don't think it's particularly suited for beginners, and it has a lot of information crammed into the book. I'm sure it would be great for people who are more familiar with astrology. It may also be better as a reference book, as opposed to a book you read for enjoyment.

Astrology by Moonlight is a guide on the moon's relationship to other planets in the horoscope via the eight moon phases which the authors explain in depth in each chapter. Essentially, this is a book about the synodic cycle of the moon in relation to each of the planets. By understanding how the moon, the most personal and influential of the planets, interacts with the others, a deep journey of self-reflection can occur. This can inspire not only greater self-awareness, but can help one to get back into sync and harmony with their body, mind and spirit...which the moon illuminates all the time for those willing to see it,

Each chapter explores the relationship between the moon and one of the planets both astronomically and astrologically. Good sized descriptions of each moon phase to the planet is included so that one can practice the technique with their own chart. Through this unique topic, both authors with their different astrology backgrounds, hope to bridge the gap between self and other parts of the self so that the journey of self-discovery that it hopes to inspire can activate wellness, heart, and flow. This book covers the countless archetypes of the moon and all that it governs which is neatly unpacked in each chapter. The collaborative authorship of this book includes an evolutionary astrologer and a vedic astrologer whose insights and knowledge about luna sends a powerful message that indeed, the moon really is a looking glass reflecting every part of oneself.

This highly unique topic offers boundless information about the moon's relationship to the planets that you will not find in other books. Beautifully written and explained, appropriate for both amateur and seasoned astrologers. Mystical. Empowering. Reflective.
