"Emotionally, mentally, she fills up my cup and there's nothing I want more than to be the man that holds her hand. Simple as that."

So, I think The Reunion might be my new favourite Meghan Quinn novel and it's, surprisingly, the least spicy book of hers I've read so far. Yes, there are 6 points of view - the 3 Chance siblings and their love interests. The book follows the trio in the weeks leading up to the party they're throwing for their parent's wedding anniversary in their small island hometown off the coast of Seattle.

Let me first just say... if you like romance and family drama, you're going to love The Reunion. The siblings clash more than once as long-held secrets and truths are revealed. Their emotions and issues were so relatable and I could empathise with them all. I also loved how each sibling had a distinct personality and relationship dynamic. You have Ford and Larkin, CEO and assistant; Palmer returning home and falling for her high school crush Dr Beau; and Cooper and sassy Nora, his ex-wife's best friend.

I think the different points of view made this book so fast-paced and enjoyable and I never got confused. Finally, a shoutout to Mr and Mrs Chance, who were just so kind and humorous.

So, if you're already a fan of Meghan Quinn's signature wit and banter and want to throw some fragile sibling dynamics into the mix, I strongly recommend reading The Reunion. It's charming, funny and heartfelt in one pretty package (I mean, look at that cover).

Thank you so much to Montlake and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for this honest review.

I have enjoyed another book that had multiple POV's by Meghan Quinn. I knew that The Reunion was going to be another story I would love. And it truly was. I love reading in multiple POV's because I am not left wondering what was a side character thinking. Instead we have everyone's thoughts. The Chance family is in no way perfect, but their dynamic was perfect for me.

There is a lot of growing pains along the way. I loved how the family comes together and has a whole lot of heart. The Reunion was a great story that had me in a book coma! You want to check out this amazing story!!

Oh wow! 6 points of view/ 3 couples. This was quite the undertaking to write and Meghan hit it out of the park. I laughed my head off. Out loud. My family thought I was nuts. And by the end, I was bawling. Completely hilarious and emotional just like she does best.
The characters were tremendous. I adored them all. The things they say... OMG.
They were perfectly imperfect. This family has ups and downs.
I think that the lessons you take away from this story are so worth reading. Do NOT skip the acknowledgments at the end. (get the tissues first).
My heart broke for little kids who are afraid to be left behind and a teenage girl who feels like everyone is moving on without her. But the glue is Peggy and Martin. The best wingmen you could ever have supporting you. I'm still emotional as I write this. Loved this so much.
Palmer, Cooper and Ford navigate new relationships with perfect counterparts that you will just LOVE.

An emotional journey between siblings that brought me tears of joy, laughter and sadness.

This may be one of my favorite Meghan Quinn books, by far one of the most impactful books I’ve read this year.

This more than a romcom, don’t get me wrong, tears of laughter ensued, but my god, Ms Quinn really knew how to punch you in the feels with these couples.

We went through multiple rollercoasters. Multiple rides, multiple ups and downs. How I’m still standing in one piece is beyond me. But I loved every minute of it.

The emotions were raw. You felt every characters pain, struggle and triumph. I have never rooted for HEAs so bad before.

I was not disappointed one bit.

If there was ever a book that deserved to be on the big screen, it needs to be this one. I hope the book gods are listening because darn it, I want to see this on the big screen in color!

Just. Bravo.

Are you ready for six--yes, SIX--POVs? Okay, before I even dig into the the POV-party, I wanna say that there is a Novella that PRECEDES the is book, titled THE ONE NIGHT, and you should absolutely read it first. No, you don't have to. You won't necessarily be lost if you don't, but it is a great intro and really adds to this book if you read it first.

This book follows 3 siblings as they converge in their hometown (a small island off the coast of Washington State) to plan a Wedding Anniversary party for their parents. And, bitches, there is DRAAAAMMMMAAAA. This family has slowly drifted apart over the previous 10-ish years and we get a front row seat to the siblings trying to plan this important party while fighting like only siblings can. As the story unfolds we also see each sibling connect with people from their past and fall in love.

The six POVs are the three siblings and their three love interests. Here's the thing, the timeline is the same, so this means there is a constant switching of POVs. I found this (as you might imagine) jarring. I appreciate the literary skillz this takes, but it was a bit whiplash-y for me. In fact, I'm just gunna admit right now that at one point I finished a chapter and when the POV changed I skipped forward until I found the continuation of that couple's story and then backtracked afterwards. You can't get me all riled up that two characters are finally gunna bone and then switch the POV. My horniness will not allow it.

As you can imagine, with the family drama, this book can be a bit heavy. But Meghan Quinn does a wonderful job of showing all sides of this complicated family relationship and writes family tension that everyone with significant family tension will relate to. Each love story is fantastic. I loved them all.

This is a great read that covers love, loss, divorce, complex family relationshgips, healing, and positively reps Therapy (yay!). If you can get behind the 6 POVs then you will love it! I'm giving it 3-1/2 stars because I appreciated what the author was attempting with the POVs, but it really hindered my enjoyment of the book. I think I would have preferred this be a collection of 3 novellas (back to back) which cover the same month.

First of all, the way this book was written is so different from any others that Meghan Quinn has done in the past. There were SIX different people’s point of view. Just wow! And it was done perfectly, even if as a reader it left me hanging, as I’m sure she planned, when we left off at one point from one character’s point of view, and then the next chapter was another character where we may have gotten to find out what happened, or maybe we got some other info that made me even more anxious to find out what happened to the character in the last chapter.

When I first started, I kind of wondered why Quinn didn’t do like she usually does, a three book series, one for each of the siblings to find their HEA in love and life. But as I read the story, I realized that it was done perfectly, because each character’s HEA in life especially required the other characters, or at least their siblings in some way. All of it was woven into a family plot with little bits that connected here and there and really needed them all to actually get together and figure things out. It went back to events from the past, as well as how each of the siblings had felt was their role in the family. The fact that the two older boys had been adopted and Palmer, the sister, was born to the parents, well that made for some very interesting and wonderful aspects of the story that were unexpected, especially some of them from Palmer’s point of view. There was the moment towards the end that led to that big climactic “darkest night” event portion of the story that was just incredible that it happened. Because I assumed that the siblings would be able to get things worked out and that scene would be the big part where they showed how they’d worked it out. Kudos to Quinn for making such a memorable part in her story like that.

But it wasn’t all just romance and drama, there were also some incredibly hilarious moments as you would expect from this author. And let me tell you, my winter-induced asthma cough was not enjoying them as much as my sense of humor was. I guess my dogs were unhappy that my laughing led to coughing fits too, lol, they even jumped out of bed at those times and gave me dirty looks. Some of my favorite moments included the green boxes in Ford’s closet that his mother mentioned to his assistant Larkin, and when we found out what was in them, oh my gosh, I’ve never heard of such a hilarious thing! Another came when Ford and Larkin were caught in his parents’ living room camping. I won’t say anymore, because you need to read it and laugh for yourself. Oh, and then at the very beginning, when Palmer “met” Dr. Beau first when she was drunk, and then for a second time the next morning. That was the best.

And of course I loved Cooper, who we got to know in the prequel, The One Night, that came out back in December. I have to say the whole cake debate and changes made for some of the funniest parts that carried throughout the story. Personally I would prefer Cooper, or even Ford’s flavor choices over Palmer’s. I guess I’m not a fancy cake person. But the way that Nora handled it, once we got a bit from her viewpoint towards the end, that was even better!

Another romantic/comedic masterpiece from Meghan Quinn with the wonderful family moments, both good and bad, that she does so wonderfully!

There are a lot of moving parts in this book about the Chance family. We have the parents, Martin and Peggy. And then the siblings, Ford, Cooper and Palmer. Then each sibling has a love interest. I guess Meghan could have had separate books, but I think the story had more of an impact with it being told at once.

For me, the main story is the Chance siblings working on their relationship. Each sibling has their own issues and throughout the book, we see just how much it has affected their relationship. There was all this built up tension between them and I knew that eventually there would be a big blow up. And when it finally did happen, I wasn't disappointed.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was heartfelt and funny, which is something the author always manages to put forth in her books. I do think it was weird that the prequel focused just on Cooper. Because of that, I favored his storyline over the other two. And to be honest I found it the most interesting.

What’s better than 1 couple??? How about 3!!!! Yes! Meghan has done it again but this time it’s a trifecta in one book!!!

She teased us with The One Night and brought it full circle with The Reunion. I enjoyed every POV from all the characters. You will not be disappointed with The Reunion…I mean, how could you because it’s a Meghan Quinn book!!!

Three siblings who are leading very different lives and have minimal contact with each other find themselves having to work together to plan the perfect party to celebrate their parent’s golden anniversary. Their very different personalities and plans for the party are about to lead to some squabbling and humorous times.

In this story we get three romances in one as the eldest son is all work and no play except when it goes to assistant. The middle son Cooper has always felt unappreciated until Nora comes into his life and although she may drive him crazy, she is also there when he needs someone the most. Palmer is the baby of the family who may not know what she wants in life, but a certain doctor seems to play a huge part.

This is a touching story about both the good and the challenges when it comes to love and family which is filled with humor and heart.

The Chance family are together on the island for their parents’ anniversary. This story is six, yes, SIX, points of view - each of the three siblings and their love interests. Quinn managed the transitions between characters masterfully and I loved how she showed the different perspectives of family members on different issues, events and circumstances. There’s romance, humor and family drama and it’s all really well done. Each character has their own interesting story, perspective and voice, yet the author blends it all together beautifully.

There’s some heavier topics here - grief, disease, aging parents, fostering/adoption, and while I wouldn’t consider this a typical romance, each character has a romance storyline and there are some fun tropes - forbidden, childhood crush, forced proximity, ex’s best friend.

I also laughed my butt off. The cake, the freakin’ cake. I was hysterical over that cake. I wanted to wring several people’s necks over that cake, yet I still found it hilarious. I probably injured whatever abdominal muscles I have reading about living room camping antics, hidden gems of teenage boyhood closets and doctor’s white coats.

Truly a fun, sexy, yet warm and heartfelt read.

The Reunion is the story of the Chances. Mom (Peggy) and Dad (Martin), Ford (the oldest), Cooper (the middle) and Palmer (the youngest). This wasn’t just a love story about one couple, this was the love story of the whole family.

There is a prequel to this book, The One Night. You don’t have to read it but I highly recommend it! It was a great Novella to read!

I fell in love with the Chances! All of them!

OMG! I laughed so hard I was crying! The camping scene was fantastic! There were also emotional parts to read and I cried in those moments too! This book has replaced the book that I wanted to become a movie! I have always thought the Mother Road would make a fantastic movie. But The Reunion supersedes it and I want this book to become a movie! I LOVED The Reunion! 5+, no 10+ no make it 100 STARS. The Reunion was a phenomenal book and I highly recommend this feel good book!

A funny, endearing, emotional story of 3 siblings who have drifted apart each with their own problems who come together to celebrate their parents 50th wedding anniversary. Their many differences lead to a lot of problems and angst, and as each one tells their tale we also hear from their prospective partners. Its written a little different as its told from 6 points of view but I really enjoyed it and I thought it was executed really well. All in all its a 5 star read for me!

I really loved the prequel novella and was looking forward to this one, but it just wasn’t for me.
I loved the idea of six POV’s but for me it made it difficult to get into the story and really feel any sort of connection with the characters. One chapter would end and it would continue with another POV and then I would just get lost.
I loved the dynamics in the Chance family and seeing how they interact and how that changed throughout the book. I loved that they weren’t this picture perfect family that you may expect to see in a book.
Overall, I liked this story but I feel like I would have enjoyed it much more if there were three separate books versus all in one.
If you’re looking for a multi POV, family filled, rom com then check this one out.

This family story of three siblings who needed to rebuild their relationship was so much fun! Yes, there was a lot of bickering, finger-pointing, and we-take-no-hostages attitude-drama, but also lots of banter, and romance…and three kinds of cakes.
The book hit the ground running- the emails between Ford, Cooper, and the baby of the family, free-spirited Palmer were really funny. All they had to do was organise a wedding anniversary party for their parents Peggy and Martin and be there for them to show their love and appreciation for these hard-working, affectionate people.
But Ford is too busy crunching numbers and obsessively going over every business detail to notice his brother and sister would love to help him with the family business (outdoor equipment stores). He is also too busy to notice his wonderful assistant Larkin who knows him better than he knows himself. Cooper is struggling with people’s pre-conceived ideas of him- ever since his divorce he has done a lot to turn his life around and he is the only child who is there for his parents to rely on in their daily life. Palmer– okay, I didn’t particularly like Palmer (there’s a thin line between being feisty and being obnoxious), she has her own reasons for feeling lost.

3 siblings and 3 love interests- 6 POVs sound a bit intimidating, but it works in this book. Partly, because the love interests are sweet and decent people who often act as a voice of reason. Larkin isn’t just smart and efficient, she’s also emotionally mature and responsible. Oh dear, she will have her hands full with Ford! I wasn’t so sure about her brother’s relationship with Palmer- he didn’t manage to convince me Palmer’s sparkling spontaneity was the best kind of match for him and things between them moved a bit too fast for me. Nora (Cooper’s love interest) was the most self-assured out of all the protagonists, and I could relate to her point of view a lot. It’s just that she sounded a bit too much like a therapist at times.

The writing was absolutely compelling and I found myself reading until the small hours, unable to put the book down. The humour also helped! All three relationships have an element of forbidden or rather a certain kind of dilemma in them, so it was interesting to see if the couples were going to stick together in the end or not. Above all, what I wanted to see was whether the Chances were going to find their way back to being a happy, close, and caring family again.

I’m glad to have discovered this new-to-me author. Can’t wait to read her next book!

A hilarious but heartfelt story about three grown siblings who come together to help plan their foster parents' fiftieth wedding anniversary. I fell in love with these characters in December when I read the holiday novella, The one night, featuring Cooper and Nora's steamy one night stand.

Fast forward several years though and these two get a second chance when the siblings hire Nora to make the cake for their parent's party. Eldest sibling Ford has been running the family business on his own along with his amazing assistant Larkin (who he has a secret crush on). Youngest sibling Palmer has recently returned home after globe-trotting as a social media influencer and has to decide if Beau, the small town doctor she's always had a crush on, is worth sticking around for.

All three siblings have some SERIOUS issues to deal with while also learning to take a chance on love. I enjoyed every second of this story! The family relationships are so real and tangled, these siblings try to deal with their past hurts and learn how to forgive one another and work together for the future of the family business. The steamy scenes were HOT with lots of humor thrown in. I was laughing so hard throughout this book! If you enjoy complicated family stories full of heart, heat and humor, this one is definitely for you. Much thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for my advance review copy!

4.5🌟
OK when I saw this was going to be a 6 POV story as excited as i was I was also a bit worried it was going to be too much. I shouldn't have been concerned as the Queen of Rom Com pulled it out of the bag. The reunion focuses on 3 siblings all coming together for a celebration for their parents. They each have a romance story so we get both sides of each couple and I loved that each one was connected in some way. Meghan has such a brilliant way of blending laugh your butt off humour with heartfelt emotions. My favourite couple was Cooper and Nora. We got a taste of their chemistry in the prequel and I loved seeing this story through. Each couple was completely different and the romance between them was completely different and to have done that it one book is absolutely amazing. Honestly I don't know how Megahn does it but she surprises and delights me with every book of hers I read. Another cracker of a story and I couldnt put it down

I have to commend the author for taking on this tough challenge of writing three different couples with six points of view into one story. I can't imagine it would be an easy task to keep everything organized. I really enjoyed the characters and the story itself. The author has this amazing ability to create these different worlds with an entertaining cast of characters and bring everything to life. One thing I struggled with while reading this book was becoming fully invested in the characters. Because there were so many couples and povs, once I started to build that connection, it would switch to a new couple and then I felt like I was starting over. So I could never fully connect. But overall I enjoyed what the author gave us but I hope the author decides to stick to a more conventional style of writing for future books.

Siblings Ford, Cooper, and Palmer are planning their parent's anniversary party. So many issues arise because they do not get along. Add in having no clue what to do with the romantic crushes they have and you have a book filled with drama and laughter. I love how this author blends serious with laugh out loud moments. There was a lot going on with multiple POV's and I love seeing what was going on through their eyes. Such a great read as the siblings learn many important lessons about love, trust, faith and family.

Thank you Netgalley and Montlake for the opportunity to read this book.
