Lots of things I liked about this book. I really like the twist on the fairytales being the inspiration for the crimes. I also really liked how the characters bantered with each other and how they grew to see the other as an equal. Also very fast paced book with lots of action and clues to put together.
It was pretty predictable and I figured out who the killer was very early on. I kept hoping that there would be a twist but it wasn’t as surprising to me and that lowered my overall enjoyment a bit. But still a very interesting thriller that has a fun cast of characters and a whole lot of heart.

Thank you for this ARC!
In my opinion this book was a bit on the slower side but I loved the detective aspect of the story. I felt like the suspect was a bit predictable and the motive of the killer was a bit unclear and the ending seemed a bit rushed. I rate this a 3/5 star!

This book is a good detective story , there are parts that are a little slow but overall it’s a good read.

It was a good detective/mystery story. The chemistry between McPherson and Sullivan was great. It shined through the pages. Their banter made the characters come alive. The suspect was predictable. There was not much detective work being done by McPherson and Sullivan. It was more about how she is a target. The ending was kind of muddle on the motive of the killer. It didn't make sense even though the author try to explain it. The ending seems rushed and therefore not thought out. The connection between Sullivan's father, the killer and Sullivan seems forced. It does not make for a choppy and incoherent story. With that being said, it was still a good story to read.

Thank you to Sterling & Stone and NetGalley for letting me read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review electronically. The murderer uses old Fairy Tales to connect the victims...the protagonist even suspects her own father who read these stories to her when she was a little girl. She dislikes them...she hopes he is innocent...her partner helps her solve the crime...This book is horrific at times...the story is great but moves somewhat slowly to a conclusion. That being said, I liked this book...this story...a unique take on a serial murderer. The tales...the murderer...the law...families...friends...try this one.
