Another cute addition to the Bruce series. This will be very cute in print but I had some trouble with the download of the e-galley. Some of the text and pictures were out of order.

Ballet Bruce is just adorable. I think every family can relate to the gathering up of things to do a particular activity. Poor Bruce though as he does all the gathering and the sacrifices he makes as he drives to gather the things so the geese can do their ballet. I did feel the ending came up abruptly, and turned back and forth to see if I missed a page or two. Overall I highly recommend for all Bruce fans.

Ballet Bruce is a cute story about how Bruce, a seemingly grumpy bear, is asked by geese to drive into town to purchase ballet gear for the geese. A funny picture book all kids will enjoy. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC.

Ryan T. Higgins never disappoints! Great illustrations along with a strong story. The words and plot will keep young readers invested enough to keep reading on their own.

I love Bruce. Excited to see an emerging reader series with this character. Definitely getting more of these for my readers.

Bruce and the geese are back! This time, the geese want to learn ballet and Bruce runs into several roadblocks while trying to buy ballet outfits.
I was so excited to be approved for this book! I love the Bruce books. The illustrations here did not disappoint…same old Bruce and geese. I like that this is different from the other Bruce books in that it’s an easy reader. But the ending confused me and felt incredibly abrupt. The geese never actually make it to dancing ballet. I think the ending could’ve been a bit better, but I suppose the challenge of writing the story with beginner words was too difficult for a smoother day ending.

Love that our favorite mother bear is available as an 'early reader!' It makes his silly adventures accessible to even more readers! This one is just as funny as the rest as Bruce has to run all over town for the goslings.

I received an electronic ARC from Disney Publishing Worldwide through NetGalley.
Bruce and the geese are back for another adventure. This time the geese want to perform ballet. Bruce agrees to go to town to get their dancing shoes. Then back to town to get their dancing pants, and, again, to get their tutus. Readers see the challenges Bruce faces every time he rides his motorcycle to town. The humor shines through as Higgins continues to share these characters. Readers will appreciate the details in the illustrations that flesh out the simple to read text.
Terrific early reader book for young elementary level readers.

I love the Bruce books and this is the first early reader one I have read. I did enjoy it but not as much as the picture books. That being said, it had to be written with easier words and a simpler storyline. Bruce gets exhausted going back and forth on his bike getting the ballet items the geese need because they want to start ballet. Typical Bruce humor. Great early reader.

Bruce enters the world of easy readers. I liked this book, but I didn’t love it. It has a lot of the humor a reader expects from Bruce. The geese what to dance, but they need supplies and keep sending Bruce to town to get them. But by the time all supplies are had, the geese want to do something different. The illustrations are exactly what you expect. In fact I really want a “head in hand” Bruce sticker for my notebook. However, I expect more from a Bruce book. This was not, just not the usual up to snuff.

We love the Bruce books and were excited to read this new addition to the collection . Bruce's geese, inspired by a poster of Swan Lake, have decided to take ballet lessons. Bruce, ever the grump, gets frustrated by each step along the way of gathering the supplies the geese will need to begin their lessons. The text is sparse, for beginning readers, and the story suffers to some extent as a result. However, it has a cute ending that will be relatable for caregivers.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of Ballet Bruce.

Bruce is a favorite character in our household. In this title the Geese want Bruce to do ballet with them, Bruce is apprehensive about helping but he can't tell them no. After a series of trips to get the much needed supplies the Geese decide they want a to forget about ballet and go for a ride instead.

The simple text is a great starting point for beginning readers.

I love the Mother Bruce series and have quite a few of them in my classroom already…and I’m looking forward to adding this one.

The geese want to do ballet and Bruce will stop at nothing to make them happy and get them everything they need to be successful ballerinas. No matter how stressful it is or how long it takes to go back and forth to town…but the geese change their mind and no longer want to be ballerinas, they are interested in biking.

This story reminded me of If You Give a Mouse a cookie for some reason…maybe because of all the things the boy did to make the mouse happy is similar to mother Bruce and the geese.

I think any of us who have kids or work with children can relate to this story. As an adult, I enjoyed reading it and I cracked up several times. 😂

Thank you NetGalley for ARC.

This was such a cute book and a great addition to the series. Bruce is doing what he can to help the geese do ballet, even though he doesn't really want to. Overall I think children will enjoy, I just felt the ending was a bit short

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the early e-ARC of this book.

I love every Bruce book and am so happy there are now early readers for the kids who just can't get enough of Ryan Higgins' characters. This story made me chuckle as I thought about my personal experience with having to round up things for my kid, feeling like I think I am set, and suddenly there is one more missing item. I actually think adults will enjoy the humor as much, if not more than the kids. With that said, the book felt like it ended a bit abruptly, and I was even double checking to see if I missed a page! I still think my readers will love this one as they have the other Bruce books. I look forward to sharing it with them when it comes out in July.

Bruce is back! I love all the Bruce books. This one is cute and short since it is a reading level 1 book. I think kids will love the silly antics Bruce and the geese get into. This book is appropriate for kids ages 2-8. This book would be a great asset to a prek-2nd grade teacher’s library.

Mother Bruce is back with his geese kids who want to do ballet. Bruce reluctantly helps his geese and it is yet another great Bruce adventure. My son is not doing goose eyes to me now to try and get away with things.
