This is a NA book, which I loved. This book had me hooked from the beginning, I was invested in the characters and loved seeing their relationship grow.
I did feel like the final half of the book fell a bit flat but this is only book 1 in the series so I'm interested to see where it goes.
This centres around a miscommunication trope, which I didn't love. I felt like a lot of Brantley and Myles problems could have been solved by actually talking to one another.
I didn't love this book but I'm interested to see where the story goes.

I struggled with this book. I almost did not finish it. I did really like Brantley- she is a strong, independent woman. I really had trouble believing that she would end up with a man like Myles. I wanted to like this book, but I'm sorry- it was not for me.
I do appreciate that NetGalley and the publisher shared a copy with me. All opinions in this review are my own.

The book had an interesting concept especially the suspense aspect of what's happening with Brantley's Mom/ her parents but the pacing was weird. It was very choppy in a lot of aspects. So it felt really rushed and didn't give time to care about the characters much. They both kind of seemed angry and though that can be an interesting plot device there wasn't enough offset to make me personally care about the character.

I do love a HEA like usual people but I think either it is quicker in the beginning or the chapters even switching points of view in each chapter just made it feel a little discombobulated. Also, the characters were hard for me to care about. I'm not sure if I can put my dinger on the why except pointing back to the original thought around their anger.

I'm sure this book might be for someone, just not me.
