I found it difficult to get in to this book. I am typically interested in subjects involving spirituality, however this book seemed more self deprecating than anything else. The idea is a good one, but the book doesn't seem to spend a great deal of time on the proposed subject manner. I have no doubt this book will appeal to others. I am fairly desensitized to anything thriller, suspense or horror, perhaps that is the reason for my apathy. A book needs to be pretty graphic and intense to make a mark with me.

A fascinating look at the aftermath of the satanic terror that swept america in the 80s. I recommend this to a thriller fan who can stand reading about creepy kids because honestly the kids in this book freaked me out with how much power they held over the community! The author is very good at an unreliable narrator too, I had no idea if the main character was a Satan worshipper or not
