Wow, this book... It reminded me of the Grace Year a little bit. I enjoyed it very much. The ending seems incomplete, but I hope it gives room for a sequel. Great Characters and storyline, I would definitely read more of this author's work.

Thanks to the author, NetGalley, and the publisher for making this book club kit available. I enjoyed the sense of humor inherent in this esp when it came to food and water pairings.

thank you Net gallery for the opportunity to explore this book club kit. I like that the activities are not too serious and give the participants the opportunity to devise their own symptoms. The water bottle covers are a nice touch.

This kit was so fun and really got the mood just right for the reading! I didn’t realize that NetGalley offered book club kits, and was so excited to see this one available.

Another book club guide, another chance to overthink! Like the other We Are Bookish guides, this one contains an author interview, discussion questions, recommendations, book club food suggestions, and more—hilariously, instead of bookmarks, this one offers custom printable water bottle labels, and I low-key want to print out the Raxter Blue one to use as...well, probably not a water bottle label. Maybe a bookmark, actually.

Lovely to get another lens through which to consider the book (...I had to pause on the third page to go look up pistol shrimp), in particular the discussion questions that Power herself added. The reading suggestions here also seem particularly on point...and are also a reminder to me that Power's second book has been languishing on my to-read shelf for a while now, and it's probably time to fix this.

As per usual, I recommend these kits for book clubs, students writing book reports or papers (cite your work!), and (ahem) chronic overthinkers.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a free copy of this book club kit.

I'm surprised that NG is asking for feedback on the book club kits, but this one is well done! Not sure I have much else to say. I'm already someone who enjoyed the book, so was curious what kind of resources were available for a book club.

4.5/5
This Kit seemed to think of everything if you were throwing a party for your book club. From decoration, to playlist to even fun water bottle labels. This kit seemed like it was more about connecting it to other books and providing games then being an in depth kit with a lot of discussion questions or open ended questions. That is in no way a bad thing but if you are expecting a more question based kit then this one isn't for you.

A really fun way to summarise the book!
The interview with the author was really insightful and the inclusion of the water bottle labels and quiz at the end was a great idea!

I want one of these for every book…

A wonderful complement to the novel - an author interview, book club discussion questions, and even accessories to make a small party for said book club!

This would be a lovely addition to the book for any reader.

Wilder Girls was one of my most anticipated books. The premise and cover gave me hope and I was ready to experience all the horror and gore that they promised. I got what I wanted. So be warned. This book is violent and gory. Don't take this lightly.
It's a ruthless story about an all-girls boarding school set on an island that has been overtaken by a plague called the tox. The island and all of its inhabitants, including the wildlife, have been transformed and countless girls have died at its hands. The ones that survived are left with gruesome escape. A second spine. A scaled hand. Two hearts. Expect lots of death, blood, intestines, and violence. Body horror realness.

The characters are Unapologetic, unlikeable, determined, passionate, independent, queer, young women with complex characters and emotions. The writing was wild, too. I was immediately drawn into the story because it's often poetic, and just as untamed as the world it creates. There was one thing that I wasn't satisfied with though: the ending.

Very interesting way to present a book and that's really interesting how you did the kit. I like the questions and the answers and how you You tied it in with other things like movies books Music. The interview with the author was pretty good because She could explain how the book was tied in with these characters. I like how it was tied with the Lord of the Flies because that's based on The man's version How women would do this differently maybe and and it's a really interesting concept to see how a woman's perspective on this old book and how they learn to survive. And it's set in the accept in the future not based on the fifties where things were not so technically advanced. And how the government gave them food but they do not stop because of the radiation. And I like how the group questions were if you were in a book club I think this would make it very interesting because everybody has a different opinion on these different questions.

The Wilder Girls was easily a five star read for me, so I was very interested in this book club kit for the upcoming spooky season.

Each section has a lot of thought put into. I liked the ideas for the food and beverage AND how easy they are! And also that includes free printables for making everything go with the theme. That saves me so much time!

The included playlist is fantastic. I'll be using it in the background to set the tone and will also sharing the link to a playlist, so participants can listen to it later too.

The quiz is a lot of fun. Loved doing those in teen magazines back in the day.

The discussion questions are a wide variety that it so fun. Cannot wait to use this kit with my group!

I've not tried one of the NetGalley Book Club Kits before and this was just what I was hoping it would be, some great suggestions for digging into the text a little bit deeper..

Its not often that you come across a book club kit that really helps cement the contents of the book in your head. I love the idea of this one and really look forward to more like it!

This is such a fun and creative kit! I actually thought the book was just ok when I read it but the author interview has made me view the novel in a whole new light. The activities and recipes are a nice touch. I also loved the book and movie recommendations, and will definitely be checking them out! Indeed a great resource for book clubs!

This is such a fun, engaging book club kit! I love reading interviews with authors, and hearing about what inspired them to write their novel. The included discussion questions are perfect for encouraging deeper exploration of the book's characters and themes, the kit is easily printable/accessible and I loved how Netgalley began including on their sites. Will definitely use in the near future with my very own book club.
