Excellent book club kit! The printable bookmarks are a great idea. Loved reading the authors responses to interview questions as it prompted me to reconsider parts of the book.

This book club kit was well thought out and put together. It not only included thoughtful questions, but also resources to support indigenous peoples. I appreciated that it included information on the author, other books by her/the publisher, and suggestions for books to read if you enjoyed this one. The only thing I would change would be making the font larger, as many pages seemed to be filled with small type.

I read this book back in 2021 and it was so magical. I really liked the story. To see the book club kit and the questions and answers helped a lot. The author answered a few of the questions I had and I feel like I wouldn't have got the answers unless it was for this kit.

Will definitely use more of these kits in the future!

This is a REVIEW ONLY of The BOOK CLUB KIT for “Firekeeper’s Daughter,” a young adult murder mystery thriller fiction by Angeline Boulley about a teenage American Indian girl with a sick mother, a crush on a new boy and the FBI swarming about investing illicit drugs and suspicious deaths. This fabulously created colorful 15-page e-book Kit—with a dramatically beautiful cover of two faces created in the firey wings of a giant butterfly—is loaded with everything to make your Book Club meeting memorable. Featuring lots of discussion questions to stimulate insightful two-way conversations among reading groups, it’s also full of visual appeal because of the bright art and bold, eye-catching graphics. The Q & As are excellent and will be useful for Book Club Leaders, Librarians, as well as readers themselves who want extra insight into the background of the book and author. 💕 As all compelling Book Kits do by adding additional graphics and fun elements, this one truly rocks! It offers
content warnings; bookmarks to print and cut out; an author interview; discussion guide; additional suggested readings, and so much more. This is a truly exciting Book Kit worthy of it’s designation. 💕

TheBookMaven graciously thanks NetGalley, Author Angeline Boulley, and Publisher We Are Bookish for this Advanced Reader’s Copy (ARC) for review.

I feel this kit is not only good for a book club, but for an individual reader as well, It causes one to think about the book and gives the reader some things to think about. Reviewing the kit has prompted me to add this book to my TBR list.

This Author's writing is truly beautiful, You can feel through her writing how proud she is of her culture which I feel really brings this story to life.

During a party she witnesses a murder which is related to Meth that is some how made its way in to the community she loves, she then finds out the FBI has been investigating her community, she is thrust in to the investigation. The deeper she goes and the closer she gets, the more secrets she starts to learn. She must protect her community and herself.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for an ARC of this kit.

This is an absolutely amazing kit. Our school is situated on the land of the Anishinaabe. This kit will help with discussions about this book in class and as a small group. I loved the addition of the bookmarks and the author's note written in a combination of English and her native language. It is important to learn about our history and the stories that come from the indigenous people that have lived on the land before us. I will absolutely be using this and sharing it with some of my co-workers.

This is a great book club kit for this book. It was full of useful information and even though I've never belonged to a book club, it is definitely something I would find very helpful to keep it exciting and interesting. This is also a book by a local author so I was very glad to see her getting recognition for her work.

This is a great resource for book clubs. I can't wait to use this with my book club next month. As a Michigander its important to hear stories that take place here. It's going to be great to learn about the Ojibwe community and how they are represented on Sugar Island.

This kit would be perfect for any bookclub.
It has an introduction to the book including trigger warnings, a letter from the author, and questions to the author. There are of course questions for the bookclub to discuss, but it includes recommendations for future bookclub reads as well.
Additionally there are additional resources as well as resources to support indigenous communities.
