I loved this book! It's well-written, enjoyable, and a great read. The author did a great job of writing in a way that captures the readers attention, and makes you not want to put it down until you're finished! I would highly recommend it!

An encouraging book at a time when we all have been trying to get back up from the world of 2020 and Covid. Sharing stories from those around him and giving great suggestions on how to get back up and keep going was helpful.

I recommend this book.

YOU'RE GONNA MAKE IT - Daniel Fusco

WOW, what a book. A book/study on making it thru life and building a resilient spirit. Pastor Fusco not only gives examples and stories but also a road map to take what is necessary to get there. I was sent this book to my Kindle for the purpose of review.

I enjoyed the book immensely and found many suggestions to build a life when it seemingly is stuck in the wrong direction. Mr. Fusco gives true stories and a time of reflection and application to help on your journey to building a spirit that can Make It.

His pastors heart is evident in compassion but also in determination help find your path that God has for you. It is a tremendous faith builder and gives confidence which most of us lack.

As a paraplegic I can identify with the need to know God and allow Him to build my character thru challenges. Therefore, I highly recommend this book.

You're Gonna Make It
Interesting read. Honest, applicable, and most of all Biblical. A good reminder that we are God's children, and that no matter what we go thru in life God will see us thru.

Anyone going through various trials will be hooked by this book title. I was no different. The author speaks at great length to resilience, grit, hope, and faith all within a Biblical context. There were a lot of reminders to put my trust and hope in the Lord to get through the really hard times. Two of the things that, in particular, resonated with me were the topics of how important it is to be an encouragement and servant to others even while going through hard times. The author's writing style is conversational and funny at times.

There were some exceptions to the book that I did not like. For example, there was a quote at the beginning of a chapter from the Harry Potter's series, there was a passing reference to Enneagram/Myers Briggs, and a reference to suffering in Buddhism's Four Noble Truths (that, the author points out in a hyperlinked note, is "not really Buddha's truth in the first place"). There were also some passing references to lyrics from musical bands. I think the author is trying to find common ground with people and so uses these reference points.

Overall, I thought the book was good and uplifting.

In his book You’re Gonna Make It, Daniel Fusco walks through what it looks like to unlock resilience and hold onto hope in the middle of suffering, worry, stress, and difficult circumstances. Using Scriptures like the book of Job, Isaiah 40:31, and some of the Psalms, Fusco reminds his readers that the Lord can become the source of our hope and strength during our greatest times of uncertainty and suffering if we look “upward, inward, and outward.” In fact, hope is found in the person who embodies hope and that person is Jesus Christ. If we choose to trust him through our troubles, we will find our resilience and bear fruit through them. This book has the same hope and grit that the author encourages his audience to find. Compelling and powerful, this is a book that any Christian would find encouragement from reading, especially in a post-pandemic world.

Have you been going through a hard time? Lately, it seems like we all have thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. But no matter what you're struggling with, Daniel Fusco's book You're Gonna Make It is a reminder that we already have what we need to find our way to the other side of tribulations.

We have God.

And more specifically, hope and faith in God.

Not gonna lie, I took a lot of notes while reading this book, but it's definitely a book that requires you to put forth some effort and actually put what Fusco writes into practice. It takes work to have hope in God and trust in Him, and most of the time, we just try to go it on our own! But we don't have to.

It's okay for you to not like what you're going through! God never promised us an easy life. But if you have hope, faith, and grit (and this book), you will come out better on the other side.

At the end of most chapters, you'll find discussion questions to take you further into your personal experiences. Sometimes there are even activities for you to do that will help bring you closer to God and see something positive in your suffering.

You're Gonna Make It by Daniel Fusco declares that resilience is the key to "making it". He says that resilience is fueled by hope and grit. Each chapter provides a detailed explanation of Who gives us hope and how we develop grit through His enabling power. Chapters I especially resonated with include: Unlocking Resilience, The Context for Renewal, Hope Has a Name, and Steady Under Stress. Daniel writes in a clear, easily understood style that makes reading this book a pleasure.

Such is the tone of this book. A little bit witty, very encouraging, and down to earth. Fusco knows that so many people right now are struggling with the storms of life. The 2020s haven't been pretty so far, and there doesn't appear to be an end in sight. Faith is something we're running low on in this country, and sometimes it just takes a kind word of encouragement to get your neighbor through the day. That's what this book is -- a warm blanket and a reminder that, while we may not see the big picture, the father does. Consider his words -- "Picture the parents of a kid who has gone off to college. While the kid is studying and partying and doing whatever college kids do, what are the parents doing? Thinking of their kid. Pretty much always."

A wonderful read for those experiencing a storm in their everyday life. Fusco helps readers see that throughout disruptions or storms in our life, we can conjure enough determination with the help of God to achieve greatness and come out stronger in the end. An encouraging read for all who feel like life is full of storms and not enough rainbows.
