I just wanted to keep listening to this audiobook. Noelle is dating Dr. Ashcroft and he seems to be perfect. But it doesn't feel good and Noelle makes a plan to get away from him and is willing to take extreme steps for it. I like that we got both Daniel's and Noelle's point of few. It makes the story more interesting. It's a bit far-fetched, but the plot twists make up for that. I really enjoyed this audiobook. The narrator did a very good job.

Noelle is the 3rd girlfriend of Dr. Daniel Ashcroft where things have gone terribly wrong. The storyline takes you on a quest to find out who is responsible for the bad behavior of the Doctor. All he wants is to make his mother happy, settle down, get married and have children with the perfect woman. But this is strike 3! Overall, an entertaining read with a twist at the end. 3.5 stars.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this audio book.

I enjoyed this thriller, the twists at the end were great and I really enjoyed the start of the book too but unfortunately I found myself losing interest a little in the middle.

Make Me Disappear by Jessica Payne Narrated by: Josh Wichard, Amelia Sciandra was a very good audio book and ended up listening to it in one sitting. This book is Jessica's first book and what a brilliant book this was! it had everything, it was fast paced, with lots of twists and turns throughout that had me sitting on the edge of my seat and differently a page turner if you read the book.

I highly recommend this audio book I loved it. I am looking forward reading or listening more books by Jessica in the future!

Big Thank you Bookouture Audio and Netgalley for this DRC.

WOW what a wonderful book!!! I couldn't put this down. I actually had to go out and buy the physical copy because I loved it so much. This is the first book I have read by this author and I hope to read more. I loved the different twists it had. It also flowed very well and didn't have any slower points. LOVED IT!

The blurb sounded interesting but unfortunately it didn’t live up to what I thought it was going to be. Doesn’t grip you like some listens but I was interested in the first quarter when told from Noelle and Daniel’s perspectives over 2 different timelines. But as the storyline progressed I found it ridiculous and extremely far fetched. I found myself rolling my eyes a lot. I liked Noelle well enough as a character even if I did want to shake her at times. As for Daniel all I can say is what a detestable character and one that really got under my skin. The flow of the story worked well and I liked the male and female narrators but the plot just didn’t work unfortunately.

2.5/5 🌟🌟/🌟

Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture Audio for the opportunity to listen to #MakeMeDisappear

This is a fast paced 'cat and mouse' action packed book. I enjoyed the alternating chapters told from Noelle's and Daniel's point of view. There were lots of twists in the plot, the tension remains high throughout and the story kept my attention to the end. It is hard to believe this is a debut! I listened to this on audible and was so pleased to find it was Josh Wichard narrating Daniel - I could listen to his voice all day!

"There are rules to survival: always agree with him. Never stop smiling. Don't mention anyone you care about--anyone-- because they might be his next victim."

WOW!! This book was amazing !! Such a twisty, page turning with a unique premise. I have read alot of thrillers, alot with the same themes-- narcissistic, controlling boyfriend/husband, crazy mother, desperate female... but this one was unique!! Arranging your own kidnapping to get out of an abusive relationship was different and a super fun story to read. My FAVORITE thing about this book was the way it was written!! It was told in two different POV-- Noelles in the first person, and Daniel in the 2nd person, which was so fun because it was like he was talking to the reader as Noelle... threatening, creepy, insane... made me feel like I was part of the story, trying to escape with Noelle. I also had the chance to get ahold of the audio book and the narrators just added that much more to the story!! An excellent DEBUT novel!!! I can't wait to read more from Jessica Payne!!

Well wow. Now that is a debut.

This one is addictive, crazy and a fun read! I finished it in probably a weekend. It was taut- the plot had me on my toes and the pacing was good.

Girl, I know you've been through a lot of crap, but STOP PUTTING YOURSELF DOWN. And I know she meant well, but your cousin saying that 'he could date anyone, why choose you?' is toxic and I couldn't get it out of my head.

And dude, mentioning meeting his mother on your first date? RED FLAG.

Mash-ups: red flags galore, domestic suspense and Gone Girl.

This is an incredibly gripping read, a real roller coaster ride.
Just when I felt I had it all understood I was left trying to get my head around some new bomb shell.
I really had to concentrate for this one.
I enjoyed the plot and the characters were well written and realistically portrayed with many sides, motivations and flaws.

The narration was excellent, and made it a pleasure to listen to.

I voluntarily reviewed this audiobook , all thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a crazy story, I was convinced I knew exactly how it was going to end, but boy was I wrong! I very much enjoyed hearing Noelle tell her story, in addition to hearing Daniel's side. The narrators did an excellent job and it was very hard to put it down.

Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture Audio, and Jessica Payne for this advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

Wow! I was so impressed with the writing of Make Me Disappear and the way that Jessica Payne chose to tell the story. The story kept me intrigued throughout and the twist at the end was so unexpected. I love the creativity of the plot, faking one's own kidnapping to escape a horrible relationship, and the story was executed perfectly. So many small twists leading up to the huge shocking twist at the end! This book will keep you entertained and questioning what actually is going on. I highly recommend this to all lovers of thrillers and suspense!

Josh Wichard and Amelia Sciandra did a wonderful job narrating this title and truly brought the story to life, allowing me to escape into the lives of Noelle and Daniel and ride this wild roller coaster of events with them.

When Nurse Noelle started dating rich, heartthrob anesthesiologist Daniel Ashcroft. she could hardly believe her luck. But when he started controlling her every movement, casually warning about potential harm to her pregnant cousin, Noelle wants out. Then Noelle's aunt dies from unanticipated medical complications, leading Noelle to believe Daniel is responsible at that his "warning" about harm to her cousin was actually a threat. Trapped, Noelle seeks the only way out she can: hire someone to "kidnap" her. But when things don't go as planned, Noelle realizes someone has paid to have her kidnapped for real. Caught in a web of lies and twists, Noelle searches for a way to escape Daniel without risking harm to her cousin.

This is a fantastic debut thriller from author Jessica Payne, and the audiobook is wonderfully narrated. Told in alternating 1st person (Noelle) and 2nd person (Daniel), the story unravels in a way that may remind the reader of the TV show Revenge. The twist at the end is not altogether unexpected if one is following along carefully, but it is satisfying and logical, and the denouement puts a respectable cap on an otherwise dark story. Well worth a read.

Noelle wants out of her relationship with controlling Daniel, as she cannot stand the way he controls her any longer. We are shown Noelle in her past, when she has met Daniel and is falling in love with him. In the present time, we are shown Noelle as she is now, trying to escape Daniel. Both storylines are fantastic, and full of drama, thrills, suspense and tension.

I really enjoyed the whole story, and the audiobook narrators were great. I felt like I was inside a movie or tv show, much like the one on tv that is called YOU. I was kept entertained the whole time, and I didn't want the book to end, it was that good!

Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a hard-to-put-down thriller that I really couldn't stop thinking about. This had my heart racing from the second I started listening and I really didn't know what to think or who to trust. I think this was really well-done and I didnt see any of the twists coming. Although, looking back, there are a few I probably should have. Overall, this was really well done and I loved every second of it.

Noelle and Daniel work together and begin dating. The nurse and privileged doctor trope plays out here and Noelle wonders how she could ever deserve such a handsome, rich, well qualified boyfriend. But he is manipulative and controlling and a self centred and possessive.
I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed Noelle’s character and narration.
Daniel’s narrator made me feel that if he spoke like to Noelle even once, she should have never dated him.
A tale where the female protagonist is driven to fake her own disappearance to escape the clutches of her boyfriend.
Narrated by Josh Wichard, Amelia Sciandra

I can’t believe this was a debut. While my guesses were correct about a lot of the suspense, I was never sure and kept changing my mind about who I could trust. It was fast paced and a little wild. Josh Wichard and Amelia Sciandra do a fabulous job narrating the audiobook. I was looking for any excuse to listen. Domestic thriller fans will love this one.

I really liked this book. Although the big twist in the end will be no surprise to anyone who reads more than a few mysteries, the plot was very good and the ending enjoyable. The characters were well-written. I listened to the audio version and liked it enough to listen whenever I had a few extra minutes rather than waiting until I had more time. I will be looking for more from this author.
