I had a love-hate relationship with this book. I loved the plot and the MMC but the FMC and the way the story was told didn't work for me. It felt rushed and there was a lot of telling, not much showing.

Book review :

The title goes apt to the story where one finds trapped if accidental situations and could only rescue if seek help of each other.

The story revolves around Kennedy Blackwell , daughter of a popular senator, who plans on running for the presidency in the very near future. The senator is a hateful man, and only cares about his political career. On the day of Kennedy's wedding, right before she says her vows, her groom's transgressions are made known to her. Needless to say, she doesn't get married and her parents are fit to be tied because she did not go through with it. Luckily her friends are there to support her during this awful time.

Wade Roberts is a handyman by day and an erotic dancer on Friday nights. He is an amazing man and goes out of his way to ensure that his mother is taken care of. He works very hard to support them. Meeting Kennedy and falling in love with her was completely unexpected. Unfortunately, the senator is not his biggest fan, and he creates a ton of havoc in Wade's life.

It was quite interesting to find out how both of them come out of this scenario and will they form a couple or not ??? So many questions need an answer . Do grab your copy to find what happened next !

I am thankful to netgalley and the publisher for giving me this book in return of an honest review.
Happy Reading!

To the outside world looking in Kennedy has everything, her father is a Senator, her mother is influential and her fiance is a famous sportsman, but looks can be deceiving. Her parents only care about image and what anyone can do for them and her fiance is not the man for her. When the wedding doesn’t happen she realises it was more of an alliance set up by her father than a love match. She meets Nick at her party the night before her wedding. He is the stripper, but actually he is so much more. Even although there is a spark between them nothing happens as she thinks she’s about to get married. When the wedding falls through she buys a house and guess who turns up when she calls for a handy man? Nick is surprised to see her and initially thinks she is married so keeps his distance. The more time they spend together the more they like each other and Kennedy admits that her wedding didn’t happen. It turns out Kennedy isn’t the spoiled princess you would expect when you know her family. She is loving, fun and loyal to her amazing group of friends. Nick has had a less than ideal childhood but has turned out to be kind and loving. They are happy together, but her parents decide that she should still be with her ex and do everything in their power to break them up. I loved Nick’s neighbor and the adventures she had with Nick’s mum. I’ve read a lot of Kelly Collins and her quirky characters bring me back again and again. This is a sweet, opposites attract romance.

I have read quite a few books by Kelly Collins and have liked them very much. Her latest offering, No Matter What Happens, is an entertaining narrative with a plot that will keep you on your toes. If you enjoy the nasty world of politics, along with some amazing friends and a handyman with the mostess, then this book is for you.

I truly enjoyed this book. To begin with, Kennedy and Wade share a seductive chemistry. Secondly, Edna, Wade's 80 year-old bikini clad neighbor, is a real hoot. She creates some amazing comical relief. Overall, this is a nicely written romance with great characters and an engaging plot.

Loved it! Was not sure initially as it started off a tad crude to my prudish sensibilities. I continued on and am so glad I did. What a hoot. Some surprises. A definite page turner. Great girl gang. I do have a crocheted bikini. Go Edna. I am eager to read more by this author. The publisher provided a copy via NetGalley.
