This book is jam packed full of beautiful pictures and information to encourage and even entice children to try their hand at gardening. I purchased this book to add to our gardening collection. I'm so glad I get to look at the book before I spend budget money.

This book is for the smallest gardeners. It is very simple but has some sweet ideas for tiny hands to get involved in gardening and learning about plants and the world around them. A great little resource for the grownups of the little gardeners to start their exploring early

This is a super helpful, and informative gardening book for adults who want to engage kids in gardening activities. There are lots of activities, questions and crafts for kids to engage in and it’s a perfect Science & Environment curriculum supplement.

It’s a fun, short and functional book for the family gardeners, homeschool exploration, after school gardening club and/or Science class. It supports the exploration of nature, food growing, healthy eating and the eco system.

I can’t wait to try some of these crafts with my own kids in our family garden. As a mom with kids in the age range from preschool to elementary I plan on using all of the activities with them as we start gardening this spring.

This is a very educational book for the younger ones, teaching them about plants and nature in general, it's a good stepping stone for getting the interest in growing flowers and vegetables. It's very engaging and sparks interest with the pictures of seeing other peers doing the things being talked about. Very lovely book.

This book was such a cute and inspiring idea! I love that it helps you get kids involved in the process of growing and enjoying the works of your own hands. Super amazing, especially in this day and age where more and more people are going back to their roots and learning how to garden or who love to be as involved in the growing process.

This book contains a wealth of gardening activities and ideas for kids and families to explore. The text is written in a manner that is easy to understand with clear instructions for completing the projects. While the focus is young kids, the book features activities that could be done by older kids too. The best part of the book is the wonderful colorful photos of children doing the garden activities. Reading this book made me want to get outside and play with plants.

This book truly showcases all the ways to broaden kids’ view of the world around them. I remember growing up in a city not realizing how things grew until my parents started their own garden. Realizing how fruits, vegetables and other items go from seed to what kids find on their plates really helps them to appreciate what they see. Gardens open up a wonderful world full of potential. Plus the responsibility of learning to grow and take care of a garden further broadens their perspective of life. This book should be on everyone’s bookshelf!

If you have a child in your life this book is a must. "We Garden Together" is a beautifully illustrated and written book that simplifies the art of gardening with children, but adults can benefit from it as well. The photos are bright and help reinforce the instructions. This book really is a gift from the author and should be a gift to anyone who wants to begin to understand the basics of gardening with a child. Read it together first and then start your journey into learning about the food you eat from beginning to end. Really, you just need to dig in!

"We Garden Together!" is a wonderful book to help young children become more connected with nature and the outdoors. The book is laid out in 4 sections: Plant, Grow, Eat, and Discover. The activities include everything from sorting seeds to planting lettuce to making a bird feeder. They are so many fantastic ideas for children to get outside and learn about the environment around them. I loved that all of the photos included children of all genders, races, and ages (within the age range for the book).

My only critique for this book was wanting to know what season was best for some of the planting (like the potato bucket) and wanting to know what children should do with plants after they sprout roots in the water. A companion website with detailed information for adults would be helpful.

This book is beautiful, creative, inclusive, and perfect for any family or classroom to get kids excited about being outside!

Birds, Butterflies, Bees and Blooms! I loved this book and can't wait to purchase it for my library. There are many hands on activities that teach children about seeds, planting, farm to table foods, and the creatures that keep our gardens growing. I will highly recommend this book to my patrons, and I also plan on using some activities for our programs. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

This book was practical. Great for kids to get started gardening and for teachers to use in the classroom.

Children's nonfiction. This is a book for younger kids to get some hands-on experience with small gardening tasks. The book is divided into 4 sections: plant, grow, eat, and discover. There are a total of 20 activities in the book, including how to look for worms on a nature walk, sprouting various plants in containers, and arts and crafts. I appreciated the mix of activities, but the number of activities also made the book feel rushed as there was a new activity on every new page spread with no breaks for chapter dividers. There are actual photographs throughout the text which feature a group of children with varying skintones. Lots of good questions to engage with the topics and back matter talks a little more about the big ideas kids can process through gardening. Overall a great book with fun activities.

This book was perfect for what I was looking for. It gave some great ideas on introducing seeds and the type of plants you can grow. I love the idea of making a learning experience of absolutely everything in the process of growing. Not just sorting the seeds but the author gave you an idea to show your kid what is happening to the seed in stages. I love the crafting and play ideas as well. There is just so much good stuff in this book! I would highly recommended it. :)

We recently moved to a new house with a garden and this book is perfect for getting inspiration for activings I can do with my kids. It has so many fun ideas and great easy to follow pictures.

I really enjoyed this book, it's definitely family friendly and gave me plenty of great ideas to be getting on with for next year.

The layout in the book makes it so accessible and incorporates children really easily into gardening, makes it so easy to learn about plants and the activities for the children are what really stood out for me, the kids loved getting involved in the summer but I wasn't sure what else we could do, now I'll be having a proper good garden project to run along side our vegetable growing in the summer.

If you are looking more about how to actually garden with children, I dont think that this is the book for you, this is more about encouraging children to get involved in the garden and learning about how things grow, how to start growing things and other activities you can make at home that are garden related, nevertheless this suited me down to the ground! (No pun intended!)

We Garden Together is a great book for the little gardener in your life. The book is divided into four sections (plant, grow, eat and discover) and reads like a book of activities. Most of the activities can be done regardless of where you live or if you have enough space for an outdoor garden. The activities in the plant and grow sections do involve just that, planting and growing, but the eat and discover sections include fun crafts and ways to play with food. As a parent of a picky eater I loved the eat section. Reducing the fear of a new food by playing with it and investigating it increases the odds of him trying it and liking it. Lastly I appreciate that the book includes questions to help kids think about what they’re learning and to help adults encourage discussion.

Do your kids spend too ,much time in front of the computer or television? W?hy not give them something better to do, something they can actually see results from, such as gardening? This is the book that will get them started and will keep them going.

The photographs, gardening ideas, and informational text were all winners for an avid gardener like myself. I loved the kid-friendly projects, and the highlights of how easy it is to garden in containers or even in herb plantings. This will be a great addition to schools and libraries. I will be ordering for our library and using along with our gardening programs!
