This book tells the simple story of Lily and Milo, a bunny and a mouse, moving into their new house. Each colourful page demonstrates the objects that are needed in various rooms of the house. Silly Milo likes to put unusual objects in places like boots in the fridge or kick a ball in the house, but readers will have lots of opportunities to weigh in and say where they think those things should go. This bright and colourful book is filled with funny and entertaining pictures that will keep young children engaged long before they are ready to read on their own. Once they grow they will enjoy reading this fun book to their parents as they see the familiar words and ideas as well as clues in the pictures. I would recommend this book to parents of children in the toddler and preschool or kindergarten age range. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!

The House of Lily and Milo tells a fun, interactive, and engaging story about Lily and Milo who are moving into their new home. We follow them through their house helping them identify which items go in which room as well as identifying other objects in that room.

A fun engaging book for littles, The House of Lily and Milo has its two characters moving into a new house. As they are moving things into each room, there is an item that doesn't belong, engaging the young reader to figure out what doesn't belong. It was fun for my child to figure out what did not belong, and then seeing what other items Lily and Milo put in each room. This would be a great book for a small child about to move!

A fun, short story that introduces many new vocabulary words for young readers and listeners! We love exploring the pages to find items and seeing all of the silly things Milo gets into!

A well-meaning vocab book, but one that adults will find annoying before the end of the first read. Lily and Milo are moving into a new home, and have all their belongings ready to go in the right place. So each room we get three things, and have to choose the correct two (as long as we know the garden hose doesn't live in the lounge, that sort of thing), and then see the full diorama of the finished decor. This offers a lot of things for us to point at and name, but it also has "silly Milo" doing something wacky and out-of-place, ranging from playing football in the lounge to getting head-first into bed. "Silly Milo" indeed – let's just build a routine of calling him names why don't we. Oh, and you can lose a star for the awful decision to portray Lily, knickers down round her ankles using the loo. A pass.

Well, clever way to do an interactive book for toddlers... they learn about the different parts of the house as well as items and where they belong.

As an adult, I would have kicked Milo out. What a dumdum 😆

Very colorful illustrations that kids would enjoy. Kids would be able to learn about the rooms in the house, and the items that are most suitable to be used in each room. I think it's a great book!

Lily and Milo have a new house, have packed their things and need help to put them where they belong. This is a great, interactive book for toddlers with beautiful, bright illustrations that encourages them to pair the item with its place in the home. There's lots to see and talk about aside from the main images too and silly Milo will make the little ones laugh. A really enjoyable read!

This was quick and adorable.. I couldn't help but imagine Cam from Modern Family reading this to Lily, can totally see him doing that ..

This little book is great for kids to learn the names of the daily objects we see at our homes. It has an easy vernacular with illustrations to help you both identify and retain the name of the object.

Since it has cute illustrations, the kids won't feel like they're being schooled. Which really helps because you dont want the kids feeling like they're studying.
I'd also like to mention that it can also benefit adults who dont have a good grip on English.

Lastly this book will make up for some fun quality time for you and your kid. So I highly recommend this book.
