thank you so much to Netgalley for my audio copy. I've read the first two books in this series and was lucky to receive an audio copy to listen to book 3. I liked every book in this series, but didn't love them. Instead of 3 separate books I would have LOVED to read one epic book. I did have fun with the series and the idea, but again think this could have been one great book. I did enjoy the audio narrators I thought they did a great job of keeping me engaged in this story. It's a really quick listen and a great conclusion to this story. If you have read the first two def make sure to pick this one up as well!

The Greenburg's saga reaches its satisfying conclusion. I adored following this couple's not-so-suburban marriage. To mention details of this book is to spoil the timeline, so I will say this - the books in the trilogy should be read in order. Each is better than the one before; Modglin has set a very high bar to the amount and quality of meaningful and entertaining twists and turns an author can include in a series, AND the audiobooks are just as fantastic as the books. Get both, grab wine or popcorn and treat yourself by binging this trilogy. You're welcome. No, actually, thank you Kiersten; meeting Peter and Ainsley has been one of my favourite parts of 2022.

Disclaimer: In exchange for an honest review, I am thankful to the publishers and NetGalley for providing a copy of The Atonement.

The Atonement, just like The Arrangement & The Amendment, kept me wanting more! The suspense in the novel and thriller curveballs kept me reading for more. I enjoyed this trilogy by Kiersten and cannot wait to read more of her novels!

The Atonement is the third and final novel in the trilogy written by Kiersten Modglin. This novel, just like the two prior to it, is full of twists and unexpected turns throughout. I have enjoyed following Peter and Ainsley through the three books, and the final installment of their horrific marriage does not disappoint! I don't want to give away too much, but if you haven't read this terrific trilogy yet, you need to! Modglin is a master at crafting characters that are complex and full of surprises. I highly recommend!

In the final installment of The Arrangement trilogy. I was hooked when I listened to The Arrangement and just needed to finish up the set. This isn’t the most realistic thriller I’ve read, but I was thoroughly entertained again. Please note this is NOT a stand alone and you need to read/listen to these books in order.

I’ve listened to the whole series and George Newbern and Sarah Mollo-Christensen are superb at bringing Peter and Ainsley to life.

This one picks up right where The Amendment left off. The cat and mouse games continue. Can you guess who is the ultimate winner?

This bitch just won...I mean read the whole trilogy!! Fantastic! Loved every minute... Couldn't put it down!! I am completely vibrating with all the twists. I listened to the audiobook for the last installment, and absolutely fantastic!!! The narrators were perfect!!

The Atonement (The Arrangement #3) was a great read by Kiersten Modglin. This is the final test for Peter and Ainsley’s marriage. They marriage may be the one thing that Ainsley can’t fix. She’s now trapped in a vicious game of cat and mouse with the husband she thought she knew. When Peter starts closing in on her, she finds herself in a state of paranoia and fear. She knows that she must trust her instincts, unfortunately her instincts have let her down before. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.

The Atonement is the deliciously twisty conclusion to The Arrangement trilogy by Kiersten Modglin. In preparation for reviewing it, I listened to the first two books of the series – The Arrangement and The Amendment as the story makes more sense when enjoyed as the final installment of a dark, domestic drama and mystery.
Ainsley and Peter Greenberg are a couple whose marriage has “stalled” so Ainsley proposes an “arrangement” to keep things interesting in their relationship. As this experiment was not quite as successful as she had hoped, an amendment is introduced. Thus the last of the tree books – The Atonement – wraps up all the betrayals and permutations their marriage has gone through.
Told in dual first-person POVs, the reader/listener is drawn into the minds of Ainsley and Peter. Experiencing first-hand their motivations and reasoning is fascinating and feels like eavesdropping!
No spoilers here—the plotting is compelling and intriguingly dark and fast-paced, hurtling to its OMG conclusion!
Audiobook narrators George Newbern and Sarah Mollo-Christensen read all three books, and are terrific, providing the continuity that makes this couple come to life in their own over the top crazy way.
I recommend this trilogy for those who enjoy domestic drama with plenty of intrigue. It is perfect for binge-listening!

Ainsley Greenburg has taken her children and is on the run from her monstrous murdering husband, Peter. The couple have been working to salvage their marriage in an untraditional way for years but they have reached the breaking point. This is a suspenseful cat and mouse game between the couple as the story unfolds from both perspectives, each trying to stay one step ahead of the other. I really enjoyed this dynamic and the back and forth kept my interest. I had made the mistake of not reading the first 2 books and got a few surprises, I want to go back and read the first two and I would recommend reading them in order. Even so this was a good mystery suspense and I look forward to reading more work from Kiersten Modglin.
I had the audio version narrated by George Newbern; Sarah Mollo-Christensen who both did an excellent job. They are fun to listen to and captured my attention.

I loved the ending to this trilogy. I read the first two books earlier this year and LOVED them both, so I could not wait for this last book to come out. While I did not love it as much as the other two, I did think it was a great ending and still highly recommend it. I will post a full review over on my IG, @chandlersbooknook, in the coming weeks.

I'm a huge fan of this author. Her books are typically dark and twisty, which are two characteristics that draw me in when reading a thriller. And although I didn't find The Atonement as jaw dropping and cray-cray as the first two books in the series, it was a fast paced read with a satisfying conclusion.

Spoiler Alert: This is the third book in a trilogy so some details in this review may give away events that happened in the first two books. It is recommended that the first two books be read before reading this book!!

Peter and Ainsley are at it again. But this time the stakes are high. With Ainsley 's failed attempt at ending Peter's shenanigans once and for all, Peter has now become Ainsley's number one fear. As Ainsley tries to protect her kids and herself, Peter is manipulating and scheming his way back into their lives...with disastrous consequences.

This book was more cat and mouse and less suspense. It was more "in your face action" and less "subtle twisty deception" that was characteristic of the first two books. Readers who love that fight until death do we part kind of thing, will probably get a lot more from this story than I did. Just a personal preference really. I wished there had been more duplicity and big reveals but also appreciated the battle of all marriages.

The audiobook was terrific. The narrators aced the perspectives of Ainsley and Peter.

A gracious thank you to Dreamscape
Media and Netgalley for an advanced audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

After falling in love with The Arrangement I had some mixed feelings about The Amendment so I was a little nervous to jump into The Atonement but am I glad I did.

This is the first of the trilogy that I listened to and again am I glad I did. I kind of wish I had listened to the first two as well because I feel the narrators really added to the story.

You should not read this as a stand-alone, nor should you skip around on the order but they are all three very binge-able books. This one made me want to get some tedious chores completed so I could sit and listen and see what craziness Peter and Ainsley could get into next. You definitely need to go into these suspending reality and with a mindset that it will be over the top. But they are just fun, popcorn-type thrillers when that is what you need in your life.

I don't want to say much else because the ride is much better if you just go in blind.

Felt a little let down on this one. I loved the first one and the sequel was almost equally good but this one was not what I expected and it kind of made me glad the series was over. I still would recommend the first two but I don't think its worth the readers to move forward past that. This one dragged out with it's cat and mouse games and the reward at the end wasn't worth it. Love this author's work but unfortunately I can't rate this book higher than a two star.

The Atonement
By Kiersten Modglin

The third and final in this series did not disappoint. I love Kiersten’s writing and I loved all three of these books.

Ainsley and Peter Greenburg have had their struggles & murders and now nothing can put there marriage back together. While Ainsley tries to protect her children, Peter is doing all he can to get his children back including using the assistance of others.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the advanced copy in turn for my honest review.

OOOH well, this was a crazy ride. What a great ending to this trilogy. This marriage was messed up. I went in thinking it would just be a little crazy, but it was more than I expected. Wow.

Honestly even if this book sucked the narration is fantastic. I love dual narrated audiobooks.

You need to read these books in order for it to make sense because the beginning of each one starts where the last left off. Honestly .. what a wild marriage. LOL. This was a great ending to this trilogy.

I've recommended this trilogy to so many people. Definitely try giving listening to it a spin as opposed to reading it. If you do 1.5x speed the books are seriously only about a 5-6 hour listen and like I previously stated .. the narrators do a great job with Peter and Ainsley. Like you would actually think it's them speaking it out loud.

Thank you Netgalley & Dreamscape Media!

Thank you for granting me the audiobook arc.

The narrators were amazing.

I found the conclusion of The Arrangement series to be underwhelming with over-the-top twists and turns. I just couldn't get into the story. Peter and Ainsley are a married couple who have a unique way of dealing with losing their connection within their marriage. The first book revealed how much this couple wanted to be with each other and will try anything to find the spark, the second book is about what they thought was working to revive their relationship but turns out it falls apart and the third would be about some kind of acceptance that they were not meant to be together which it was vaguely.

The third book was confusing to me when it came to its motive of Peter. I honestly didn't believe that he would do as much as he did especially in the last two sections of the book. I get that he is not trustworthy but everything fell into place too easily for my liking and I never felt he was ever truly in danger. Ainsley also was doing random choices that magically worked. Idk The last two big twists were so over the top all I could do is roll my eyes.

I think I would have preferred it if the book talked more about how they got together in the first place in more detail and how that is no longer what is keeping them bonded. They both kept saying they had this deep connection but we never get to learn more about their union. The book was called Atonement but I didn't feel Ainsley or Peter made any redemption for their actions. They both got away with their misdeeds. This book should be called "absconded" because they technically got away with everything.

What a marriage! I have enjoyed every bit of this series and so sad to see it end. Modglin is so talented in her ability to write a story filled with twists and turns. I love the dual POV and hearing both Ainsley and Peter’s side of the story. For me, Peter had just been ok-ish, but a whole new side to his character comes out with twists that will leave you speechless!

Fabulous dual narrators made listening so easy and enjoyable!

Satisfying conclusion to the trilogy started by The Arrangement, followed by The Amendment. These aren't highbrow mysteries or thrillers, but they are entertaining in a popcorn kind of way. This is a trilogy that absolutely must be read in order, you will miss out on the entire story arc if you skip around and it won't be nearly as good because the first two books have a large number of shocks and twists.

This book starts immediately after The Amendment ends, and is mostly a cat and mouse tale with the two main characters, Ainsley and Peter, each trying to get their own way and make the other see their perspective on how their horrible marriage should proceed.

I listened to this book (as I did the others) as an audiobook that has dual narrators for the couple. The narrators give perfect voices to Ainsley and Peter and with this third book their voices are Ainsley and Peter. The audiobooks are a fun way to experience this trilogy.

The ending of this installment is the highlight of this book, because everything comes around for a very satisfying conclusion. Go ahead and binge this series, if you're looking for some surprising, fast-paced thrillers, The Arrangement trilogy should be on your list.
