I haven't read any books by Lisa Timoney before but will happily be reading more. I found the style of writing easy to follow and enjoyable. The premise of the story was enthralling and one I found easy to immerse myself into. I found the storyline one of those where I just wanted to read one more page. Unfortunately, I managed to guess where the story was heading which took the element of surprise away for me, but I still found the ending satisfying and well worth the time I spent reading the book.

Her Mother’s Lies is a story of family, lies, deceit and heartbreak. This is a new author for me and I found the book to be intriguing as we followed the lives of Alice: drowning in debt as she tries to hold on to the business and family home working alongside her daughter, Laura who feels she’s had her chance to be an artist snatched away from her and Bonnie who has been running from her tragic past. Although I knew pretty early on where the plot was taking us, I still enjoyed the book and how it came to its conclusion. Thank you to NetGalley, Avon Books UK and the author for the chance to review.

I absolutely loved Her Mother’s Lies. I read the book in two sittings, it was hard to put down.

Gorgeous, relatable characters and relationships, beautiful vivid descriptions of art, fashion and interior design, and a page turning plot with twists and turns. The story is told with emotion, humour and warmth.

This is the second novel
I have read by Lisa Timoney and I can’t wait for the next one.

Bonnie has sold her business, , needs no money, but applies for a part time job…she gets the job and intrigue ensues. Secrets…working relationships…friends…the past…what will happen next? Why did she want a job? She can spend time on her painting. This author has written a book that is mysterious and intriguing. The author is gifted. This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Although the story moves slowly at times, it comes to a resounding conclusion. Enjoy
