In this third installment of the Sisters of Salem series, we follow the story of twin sisters Mercy and Hunter as they find themselves stuck in a precarious position. With the death of their mother they are forced to become Gate Keepers. When Mercy gets trapped in the underworld it’s up to Hunter to save her but there’s foul afoot in Salem. Will the twins be reunited? Can the Goode Family continue to keep the town safe from Amphitrite?

I originally wanted to read this series because I am a huge House of Night fan but these books lack the magic I crave after HoN. I can’t connect with the characters and it just lacks the luster I was expecting from Cast’s other books.

I would recommend this book to people who like witchy stories and Salem lore with the caveat that it is nothing like the other stories.
