Sweet + Steamy + Slightly Silly = Lovelight Farms by indie author B.K. Borison. Think Hallmark movies with sexy scenes. This adorable cover caught my attention, and the novel completely lived up to it.

Lovelight Farms is a friends-to-lovers romance featuring Stella and Luka. Stella recently bought a beloved Christmas tree farm and quickly learns that it takes more than hot chocolate and twinkle lights to make the finances work. If she could win the contest sponsored by mega influencer Evelyn St. James which offers a big cash prize and features on her socials, Stella knows the farm will be successful.

Evelyn visits Lovelight Farms as a contest finalist, but there's a problem. Stella lied on her application and said she owns the tree farm with her boyfriend, but she doesn't have one. Will her best friend Luka agree to be her fake boyfriend during Evelyn's visit? Can they play a convincing couple? How much harm could a little fake dating cause?

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the review copy of the audiobook.

4.5⭐️

I REALLY enjoyed this book. A lot. So much so that I bought physical copies of all 3 books. I couldn’t help myself! It was so fun getting to know these characters and I LOVE friends to lovers!

Stella and Luka are absolutely adorable and I squeed many times while listening to this story. They are wonderfully human (as in they aren’t perfect) characters to follow along with and the squad of side-characters are also a lot of fun to get to know. Could you imagine owning and running a tree farm with your friends?!? I can’t even. I think it would be (horrendous, probably horrendous) so fun lol.

Anyway, I’m having a hard time talking about this without giving spoilers, so I will leave you with this: the audio was a lot of fun to listen to. The narrator did a great job and really portrayed each character well and individually (if that makes sense.) I would definitely listen to this one again!!!!!

Thank you to BK Borison, Pippa Jayne, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

Gorgeous setting in a small town

Holiday cheer

My heart just adored Luka and everything he said. And when he calls her LaLa - insert Jim Carrey “come on” gif and just take my heart! I read this series out of order but I don’t feel like it changed the outcomes for me. Fast and adorable kindle read that you should absolutely pick up!

I had a wonderful time listening to the audio version of B.K. Borison's Lovelight Farms. Just about every aspect of the human experience is touched on here, from friends to lovers, fake relationship, family drama, friendship drama, and someone even tries to sabotage poor Stella's Cristmas tree farm!

Seriously though, B.K. Borison kept it all light and fun. There's terrific chemistry between Stella and Luka, and I enjoyed all the background info on Stella's wacky family. Lovelight Farms was just what I needed to get in the mood for the holiday season.

The audio version is nicely performed by Pippa Jayne. Ms. Jayne has a sweet, clear voice and she did a lovely job with the flavor of this story.

I read this book last year and when I saw the audiobook available on netgalley, I had to snag it. The narration on this story was done so well and I was engaged the entire time. The pacing was great, the reactions felt genuine and hearing this story for the second time made me so happy.

Thank you #netgalley for an early listen of #lovelightfarms

My favorite holiday romance is now even better with fantastic audio narration!

This small town, friends to lovers story stole my heart. Everything about this novel is utterly charming, in a way that made me wish Lovelight Farms was the local tree farm and that I could become real life friends with Stella, Luka, Layla, Beckett, and Charlie!

I fell in love with the characters, the setting, the descriptions of incredible food, and we even got some steam! I devoured this story in two sittings and hugged it when I was finished.

What is there to say about this book that hasn't already been said. It is a sensationally great read, only enhanced by the narrator. I love a good fake dating friends to lovers and this delivered on so many levels!!! Now it's just a matter of finding the time to read the next two!

I recieved this audiobook as a free copy in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Dreamscape Media.

Reading the KU version of Lovelight Farms: 5 glowing stars!!
Listening to the audiobook: 2.5 stars-- on a good day.

Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the audiobook of Lovelight Farms- it had already been released on Kindle, but I'm always looking for a good audiobook while doing household chores. I made it through 22% of the audiobook before I had to give up-- the narrator sounded robotic and no matter how I sped it up or slowed it down, it was painful to listen to. If I wasn't told how awesome this book is, I would have given up completely.

But! Thank goodness I didn't. "Lovelight Farms" is a warm hug and one of my favorite romance books I've read this year- a Christmas romance treasure! It's sweet, at-times awkward, and the right amount of predictable. The setting starts at the end of Halloween- so it's the perfect time to pick it up for the holidays <3.

Short-ish review... because there's plenty of synopsis reviews--- and it's better just to ruuuun and read it ;)

Hallmark goodness!! This has a sweet and charming story that gives me all the holiday feels. I love a good friends to lovers romance and it took place in a small town at a Christmas tree farm– I was all in! I enjoyed how things blossomed between Stella and Luca - there was just an ease about it. I also chuckled at the other characters in the story and their banter with Stella, namely Beckett, LaLa and the town Sheriff. I can’t wait to read the 2nd book to get the back story on the other blossoming relationship in this series. Review to come soon on IG.

I’ve read this book only once before and remember loving it so much, I’m happy to report the this new Audiobook does my memories justice. The Narrator Pippa Jayne did a wonderful job bringing Stella, Luka and the rest of the Inglewood residents to life. This is a cozy steamy listen just in time for the holidays!

In the friends to lovers holiday romance, Stella and her lovely tree farm have more problems than solutions and she’s just gone and added another when she applies to win a social media influencers contest for a promo and cash prize which she needs to get the farm back in the black. It’s gets even more complicated when she needs her best friend Luka to pretend to be her boyfriend and partner while the influencer is in town. Add in almost 10 years of this two dummies being secretly in love with each other, some farm drama and lots of holiday goodness and we’ve got great holiday romance.

I loved Stella and Luka immediately they have so much chemistry for the start 10 years of friendship that is basically a long term long distance relationship without the kissing and spicy times.
Luka is a really good guy, his hot Italian cinnamon roll goodness is just too hard to resist and Stella never had a chance. Stella was alone in the world after her moms death but Luka has been her rock since that fateful day she literally ran into him. She sweet and caring and everything he has ever wanted. Now he has the chance to she her what a relationship with him would be like and he’s playing for keeps.

The burn is painfully slow but oh so good with this one. Stella and Luka have a lot of intimate platonic history but it takes them a while to move into spicier things. Borison did a great job with the tension and build up and gave us and our couple perfect satisfaction.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, its an easy cozy read! I will definitely be reading more from B.K Borison.

I really enjoyed this audiobook. The premise was cute, best friends fake dating was cute, Christmas tree farm and the lengths Stella is willing to go to save the farm was also very cute. The characters were really likable and I can't wait to read more in the series. 4-4.5 stars

I just reviewed Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison. #LovelightFarms #NetGalley

This book is the cutest Hallmark story of friends to lovers romance I have ever read!

There is something about a Christmas setting, and this literal love story that takes place on a CHRISTMAS TREE FARM is absolutely adorable and I loved it!

Stella has entered a contest for her struggling tree farm to hopefully win 100,000. The only problem is, that she for whatever reason told the host of the show that she also had a boyfriend.

Insert her best friend, Luka, who honestly already seemed to fill the role of boyfriend for her without the romantic bits.

This book was so cute, but I will say Stella at times just didn’t get it. Luka was so obviously giving her signals and she would just miss them, insert internal screams.

This book was very reminiscent to me of a Stars Hollow vibe with Hallmark Christmas energy and it was so cute. I thoroughly enjoyed it even if I thought our main heroine could catch on a wee bit faster.

Thank you so much to the publisher and Netgalley for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

B.K. Borison has written the perfect friends to lovers romance. Lovelight Farms was such a wonderful, holiday read. Stella and Luca were the best of friends and so obviously in love with each other that you couldn't help but root for them Almost ten years of friendship had created the absolute best foundation for their fake-dating turned real romance. And who doesn't love a story set at a Christmas tree farm? To be honest, I read In the Weeds first, which is Evelyn and Beckett's story, and I loved seeing their cameos in Lovelight Farms, knowing how their story ends. I can't wait to pick up the third Lovelight Farms book, Mixed Signals. Borison is officially an auto-buy author for me now!

Friends becoming more than friends with a picturesque Christmas tree farm setting made for a cozy, enjoyable story. I loved the connection between Stella and Luca. For me, Luca using the F-word so often, especially in the romantic scenes took away from the story. Some of these scenes were too long and a bit to graphic for my taste, but it was not enough for me to still really enjoy this story. I wish more was spent time was spent with the other lovable characters and cute town and less on the graphic love scene at the end.

Thank you for the opportunity to listen and review.

This was the most delightful friends-to-lovers/fake dating story. The characters were charming and likeable. I especially loved the cozy Christmas tree farm / small town setting. I would have preferred dual POV but I still enjoyed this one a lot.
