General Clayton Elliott is a former soldier, now working for the Home Office and trying (along with his friends) to find the head of a group that is trying to overthrow the Monarchy. After the execution of the (supposed) leader, they all thought they seen the last of Scepter. But, they soon find out that they were wrong!

Princess Cordelia of Monrovia is visiting England with her Uncle Ernest to pay their respects to the royal family. But, the main reason she is there is to be paraded around like a brood mare in order to be married to one of the Royal Dukes. She has been raised to do her duty as Princess, but all she wants is to have a normal life without the responsibilities of her royal upbringing.

The author has created a wonderful group of characters and this book wraps up all of their adventures in this standalone. There is plenty of the usual glamour and society doings that Regency readers expect, but there is also plenty of intrigue and espionage. There are also enough steamy scenes to satisfy and a HEA ending.

I love this series, Lords of the Armory, and I am sorry to see that this is the last book! I enjoy reading Regency romance, but the author has created a series that is so very much more than "just" a Regency romance. I look forward to what Ms. Harrington has in store next for her readers as I'm sure it will be wonderful!

How does she do it?! Each time I read a new book of hers I think that this it, this one will reign supreme as my favorite… and she did it again, I have a new favorite. Needless to say I loved the book.
The chemistry between Her Serene Highness Princess Cordelia of Monrovia and General Clayton Elliott jumps off the page. There is something so endearing about Cordelia and her struggle to do what’s expected of her versus what her soul longs to do. Plus I have been (not so patiently) waiting for Clayton to meet his match!
This book is filled with amazing chemistry balanced with sweet moments. This is a must read in the Lords of the Armory series.

I was not expecting to be as emotional as it was when I began reading this.. My emotions overtook me multiple times and my chest physically hurt at times with all that angst. This was absolutely a full 5 stars read for me

This is the final installment of the Lords of the Armory series, one I am sorry to see finished. I've really enjoyed the whole series, and this book was great! Princess Cordelia of Monrovia is (reluctantly) in London with her family in order for her to wed some random English duke, which does not make her happy but makes her family happy. But an attempt is made on her life! Our lovely (not exactly) Lord of the Armory, Clayton, volunteers to be her personal security guard, which is a mixed blessing because the two realize they really like each other. But there is no way a princess can marry an untitled Englishman! Regardless, Clayton is determined to save Cordelia's life while eradicating Scepter, a terrorist group causing huge problems in the government. There are many people after Cordelia, though - can Clayton keep her safe, and manage to keep his hands off her (and hers off him)? Luckily he has his fellow Lords (and a few intrepid wives!) to help. Minor spoilers: I initially thought the major climactic event was farfetched, until I read the author's note and discovered a similar event did happen a couple of centuries ago! This is such a lovely tale of two people who NEVER expected to find love, or each other, and in spite of their heart's desire chose to benefit the greater good rather than choosing strictly for their personal satisfaction. Who knows, maybe after all is said and done the fates can align for them after all! It is possible to read this book as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the entire series first, as the reader will know a lot of background on some characters and on Scepter itself. Highly recommend the book and the series! I was given an ARC so I could provide my own opinions, which you just read. Ms. Harrington is a terrific author, read some of her other books, if you haven't yet!

This book is a nice addition to the series. The characters are brave and likeable and the Secpter plot unfolded was done very well. Wrapped up with a nice bow.

While I have not read the rest of the books in this series, I believe I got a good feel for Harrington's characters.

Set in London in the early 1800s, we follow General Clayton Elliott as he volunteers to protect Princess Cordelia of Monrovia from multiple assassination attempts.

While the romance was compelling, I found it difficult to visualise the environments, and I began to find Cordelia's stubbornness rather frustrating towards the end of the book.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

This is the sixth installment of the Lords of the Armory series. The story is attention grabbing and caught my interest from the very beginning and kept me engaged till the end. Princess Cordelia of Monrovia has come to London to make a match with one of the royal dukes. She doesn't really care which one, she is just set on doing her duty to her country. Home Office Undersecretary and new viscount, General Clayton Elliot, becomes her bodyguard when she is attacked at a party. He begins to wonder if the attack on the princess is related to the anarchist group, the Spectre, who are working to overthrow the English government. Clayton soon gets to know Cordelia and is taken by her sweet innocence and intelligence. The chemistry sizzles between these two, and even as danger surrounds them, the attraction between them continues to simmer.
The story is filled with action, intrigue, danger, and romance and the plot was well-crafted and kept me turning the pages. The characters were interesting and likable and I enjoyed following their story. An absolutely riveting read and exciting story!

I have been provided with a review copy of A Problem Princess from NetGalley for an impartial review. This book was just so easy to get lost in. I completely got lost in the story and I just loved getting to see these new characters come together. I just absolutely love this story and I just didn’t want to put it down. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

Amazing ending to a great series!

I have been eagerly waiting to see who steals Clayton's heart and Cordelia could not have been more perfect. Cordelia is a Princess through and through but she is kind, compassionate, and strong. She is the perfect complement to Clayton and their goal to make life better for those less fortunate. Also their chemistry is 🔥.

If you like historical romance this series I absolutely recommend. Anna Harrington was able to create a world that encapsulates the idea that life isn't just black and white, right vs wrong. She shows us life and love are so much more nuanced. She's an auto buy author for me!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Lords of the Armory series overall. I've been highly anticipating Clayton's story. It was a genius move to end the series with Clayton, however I wasn't impressed with the romance. I enjoyed this book, but it didn't really stick with me after I finished reading.

This series deserved to go out with a bang. It only made sense for the leader of Sceptor to be someone so high up in the government. I loved the parallels between that revelation, and the female main character of the finale being a princess.

Though I am a little disappointed with he ending, I will recommend this series to anyone that loves historical romance.

Fun story of an undercover agent and a princess. He is living in his father's shadow. She is a royal princess sworn to her duty to her country also living under a father's shadow. They are kindred spirits and he allows her to be herself with him. I loved how they understood each other and how she was able to find herself. The mystery and intrigue were riveting and I was happy to read this book!

A thrilling conclusion to the mystery of Scepter. The story is packed with tension, intrigue and of course, love. Princess Cordelia never could seen all the ways the visit to Britain would change her life, none more so then meeting General Clayton Elliot. After stepping in to protect the princess, a wild journey begins fully wrapped up in the ongoing mystery of the reform organization, Scepter. In this stunning conclusion, we finally learn the identity of the head of this nefarious group. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat through each twist & turn. I was fully engrossed from start to finish. Clayton and Cordelia truly bring out the best in each other and are the perfect match. A well told story!

Princess Cordelia from Monrovia is in line for the throne and visiting England and there is someone who keeps making attempts on her life. So her new bodyguard is trying to protect her even at the risk of making it appear that he has taken her.

Really enjoy these action packed yet romantic books. There's always a little adventure as they try to figure out who's behind the plots. The close proximity, attraction and near death experiences brings them close together.

I like this series and this one was a good one as well, and I appreciate finally getting to his story in a different way.

As a Home Office Undersecretary and a soldier, General Clayton Elliott is especially suspicious when things are quiet in London. Intelligence suggests that the anarchist group he and his friends have been fighting to eradicate ceased to exist with the demise of its leader, but his instincts say otherwise.

In the midst of this inner turmoil, Clayton meets Princess Cordelia of Monrovia, ostensibly visiting London to make a match with one of her distant cousins, the royal dukes. She’s less than pleased but resigned to doing her duty to her country, but when she’s attacked in the middle of a palace ball, Clayton volunteers to be her bodyguard. He’s convinced there’s a connection between Sceptre and the attempt on Cordelia’s life and he’s determined to find it. Soon it becomes clear that someone truly wants to eliminate Cordelia and as she and Clayton spend more time together on the run, it becomes ever more evident that they can only rely on one another.

This has been a series I have really enjoyed, and I find myself pleased by its conclusion. While I do wish Clayton had gotten a bit more time to shine, I loved the fact that it was more Cordelia pursuing him than anything and she wasn’t afraid to admit her feelings for him. The forbidden aspect of their relationship was also very interesting, and the bodyguard trope is always one I love. These two were in near-constant danger and that kept the pace fast and made the rapidity of their relationship development believable. I really enjoyed seeing these two come together and while I would’ve loved to see more of the Lords of the Armory coming together on the page, I loved that it was still them taking down Sceptre once and for all, as a team. I don’t want to say more and risk spoilers, but this was a solid story and I look forward to seeing what’s next from this author.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

An explosive 6th book in the Lords of the Armory Series! The Home Office might believe, Scepter, the revolutionary group that has pledged to overthrow the British government, has disappeared with the death of their leader, but Clayton thinks they're only waiting for a signal to unite them again. That signal comes when all of England's dignitaries gather to meet Princess Cordelia of Monrovia. Clayton is a former soldier who recently saved the Prince Regent's life and now he saves Princess Cordelia. She's a reluctant princess who is tired of a life of duty and having every moment scheduled. When England is entered into a succession crisis with the death of Princess Charlotte after childbirth and the death of her baby son, Princess Cordelia is brought from Monrovia to marry a royal duke, any royal duke, to save the line of succession. Clayton and Cordelia both have secrets regarding their deceased fathers, giving them an emotional common ground. Clayton's horrified reaction at the Prince Regent's escalating gifts is too funny! It's an exhilarating good time with the two of them on the run together while Clayton figures out who the REAL Scepter really is.

I really loved this book! But the whole series has been wonderful! I seriously look forward to what the author has next! Princess Cordelia and Clayton were so perfect for each other! The mystery and build up were so well done! Princess Cordelia has come to England bc her uncle wants her find a husband but she just wants freedom. She’s so smart and strong. Clayton works for the Home Office and was previously in the military. He wants to try to clear his fathers name and find sceptor. When someone tries to kill Cordelia, Clayton helps save her but is now her head guard/security! These two have a lot going on with lots of tension between them! I loved how they fell for one another even though Clayton tries to fight it while Cordelia is open to it! She goes for what she wants! This really was a great story!

Anna Harrington's A Problem Princess is a sensual, road trip romance, full of espionage and intrigue! Harrington's writing is easily engaging, well paced, and beautifully balanced between plot and romance. A Problem Princess is very much a plot driven novel in which the heart is the romance between a Home Office Undersecretary and Viscount with a Princess. Harrington weaves together an on the run, forced proximity, body guard style romance to perfection! This novel will quickly sweep you up and keep you along for the ride. Harrington's characters are interesting and watching their romance develop will leave you with a smile on your face! This is the sixth novel in Harrington's Lords of the Armory series, and I find that it can easily be read as a standalone, I have read novels on and off in this series and not all in order and never feel lost in any strong underlining interwoven plot.

This novel really has many wonderful tropes supporting it, and if one or any of them are of interest to you , you will easily be swept along into this fast paced romance. I really was charmed by both our hero and heroine, they are both strong and determined in their own rights. I love we see them work together and protect each other. I love that the heroine is bold and unassuming, she wants to do what is best for her country, but she will also learn to fight for her happiness along her journey. I love that the heroine is willing to take her happiness when and where she finds it and does not worry about what rumors or judgements will come from it. I love the way that Harrington builds the tension and chemistry between the hero and heroine, and that we see how the physical side of their romance conveys a deep level of trust and respect. I love that the hero only want what is best for the heroine and that he respects her and trusts her to speak her mind.

I always love a road trip romance, and the on the run/bodyguard aspect of this novel really drives up the pace and plot in such a fun way! If you are looking for intrigue and romance than this novel is packed full of it! I would definitely highly recommend picking up with novel, you are sure to be delighted!

Anna Harrington has done it again. This is the 6th and final book in the Lords of the Armory series, and it was a fantastic and satisfying conclusion. I've loved every one of these books so much. This installment did not disappoint.

When Princess Cordelia of Monrovia is targeted for assassination, Clayton Elliott becomes her bodyguard. This is a very intense action-packed romance. The chemistry between the main characters is great, and the sex scenes are superb. Bodyguard romances are a favorite of mine, and this one was completely swoon worthy.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.
