This is one of the best thrillers I have read in my life. What starts as amazing world setting quickly turns very atmospheric and quite frankly sinister. Rose has a way of getting you into her characters heads and somehow makes even the most unlikeable of likable in their own unique way. The twist at the very end shook me to my CORE! I need a sequel asap. Also this wins for most beautiful cover I’ve ever seen.

Jeneva Rose does it again with this extremely spooky thriller! The handsome landlord is definitely a scary character and the heroine is gutsy and fun to read about! Highly recommended!

Jeneva Rose has done it again! Grace Evans books an Airbnb in a quiet, little town in Wyoming. She meets Calvin, the host, and as they get to know each other, they both begin to question if the other is hiding something. I was hooked right from the beginning. I loved the details throughout as well as the twists and turns at every corner. Her books always suck me in and leave me satisfied! What a wild ride that was and had me questioning everything the entire book! Let's just say I did NOT see that ending coming! I'm already awaiting her next book!! Thank you so much NetGalley and Brownstone Publishing for early access!

Grace escapes her busy NYC life and retreats to Wyoming to relax and reset. The owner of the ranch AirBnB is a handsome man named Calvin who’s eager to introduce her to his easygoing way of life. But Grace soon gets a feeling that something isn’t right with the ranch when the police come looking for a missing woman.

The first half of this story is a very slow burn and I thought was reading a romance, not necessarily a thriller. However, I will say the pace effectively developed the characters and set the scene. We are given the perspectives from Grace and Calvin, both unreliable narrators who make you wonder: who can you trust is telling the truth??

The author successfully created the feel of a sinister town and close knit community where outsiders just don’t belong. Conveniently, there is no Wi-Fi signal or cell service at the ranch. 🙄 The setting is atmospheric and at time creepy. It makes me want to visit Wyoming (even more than Yellowstone already did.) There’s a scene with the mountain lion that had my breath caught in my chest. 🫣

And THEN…we get to the last 20% or so and things start to get VERY messy. There’s a twist that comes out of left field and I’ll admit, it’s a mindf**k 🤯 I’m still not sure how I feel about it. It was added to give a shock factor but I kinda rolled my eyes a bit ?? While I devoured the book in a little over 24 hours, I’m still torn on where I stand. I’ve loved this authors previous books but this one doesn’t quite hit that spot.

The lesson here - the next time you plan a trip, make sure you REALLY research the AirBnB host!

What a twisted, curvy, out of the box, fantastic read about so many liars!

Grace Evans is taking a reprieve from the busy, hectic city life of New York and lands in an AirBnB on a beautiful ranch in gorgeous Wyoming. It becomes an even better getaway when the host of the AirBnB, Calvin Wells, is a gorgeous part of the Wyoming backdrop himself. A holiday fling ensues, but the more Grace gets to know Calvin, and all the people around him, the more she knows something isn’t quite right. Then the police show up at the house looking for a missing girl, reportedly headed to the same AirBnB that had just vanished. What is going on in this remote, beautiful ranch? What twisted games are being played? A deadly game of cat and mouse ensues, only who is the predator and who is the prey?

This is the first novel I have read by Jeneva Rose, but it will not be the last. There are so many curve balls thrown at you, so many deviations you won’t see coming. She writes with both passion and intent as well as satire and humor, even directed at her own writing style! This is one thriller you will not see the end coming! This will gut punch you and leaving you breathless and wanting for more. I will be recommending this to everyone that loves. a good thriller that keeps you on your toes the whole way through!

Thank you so much to #NetGalley, #BlackstonePublishing and of course the talented author #JenevaRose for extending an ARC in exchange for my honest opinions. This should be on everyone’s radar to snap up on publication day in April of 2023, believe me… you’ll WANT to go there!

My full review will be posted to all my social media accounts, blog sites, and retail sites on publication day.

I hate to say that I found this one to be a little boring but I did. I think it started off too slow and then just remained slow until the last 10% of the book. Truthfully, I would've DNF'ed if I didn't like this author so much. This just wasn't it for me.

This book was definitely a page turner and the ending was completely a shock to me! The story was a bit different from some of Jeneva’s prior books but I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it!

Wow. Okay. Where do I begin? There were so many parts where I found myself rolling my eyes. The first half had me questioning if I was reading a Romance or a Thriller, yet for some reason it worked and I really liked this one. Between this author's little nod to Colleen Hoover, to her calling out her own cliches, while adding in her mystery and crazy twist, I couldn't help but devour it all with no regrets. This is going to be one of those love or hate type books with me joining the latter. I love this author's writing style, humor and talent and can't wait to read her next one. Four Stars.

Thank you Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for this ARC.

You Shouldn't Have Come Here is Jeneva Rose's newest thriller about an AirBnB adventure that goes from uncomfortable to creepy to absolutely terrifying all in a matter of a week. Grace is looking for an escape from the fast pace of New York City and Wyoming seems like the perfect place to decompress until her feelings for the handsome rancher change from attraction to fear. This is an intense game of cat and mouse... but who is the predator and who will be the prey?

An escape from her hectic life in Manhattan is in the cards for Grace Evans when she books and Airbnb stay at a ranch in Wyoming. The location is gorgeous and the rancher is easy on the eyes. Calvin and Grace hit it off right away and a little vacation romance blossoms, but the bloom is off the rose when Grace hears about a missing woman. And no cell service? Seriously? With her departure approaching, Grace begins to worry that Calvin is a little too interested in her, his infatuation borders on obsession. Just when you thought it was safe to travel again…….
