I could not wait to read Everything She Feared by Rick Mofina. I never knew where this story was going. There were so many believable red herrings to keep me on my toes and turning the pages to the stunning conclusion.

When a teen, Anna, falls while taking a selfie at the edge of a cliff, the last thing she sees before plummeting to her death is Katie Harmon, the nine-year-old girl she was babysitting, looking down at her.

Did Anna really fall, did she commit suicide after a recent breakup with her boyfriend, or was she pushed? Oh boy, here we go!

Along with this storyline, a parallel story involves Ryan, a freelance writer looking for his sister's remains. His sister was killed by a serial killer couple. He has been looking for the wife who made a deal at her trial to reveal the locations of their victims, but she never did tell and now, after being released, has disappeared. Ryan is on the hunt.

Rick Mofina is a master storyteller. Everything She Feared has mystery, intrigue, suspense, jaw-dropping action, crazy characters, and heart-stopping scenes. The author weaves the story to have the reader second-guessing the characters' activities, and the scenes are intricately woven into an exciting and satisfying ending.

I would recommend this book and this author. Rick Mofina does not disappoint in his storytelling.
